    sorry Craig, there's literally nothing wrong with black or dark wheels, its vehicle dependent but on the whole, nothing wrong with them. and theres also nothing wrong with mudflaps, especially ones where they're proprietary kits made for a car specifically. rally armor makes the best proprietary aftermarket mudflaps out there and they do help with protecting the paint on cars and i think they look fantastic on /almost/ anything.
    what should have been mentioned is underglow, tow hooks that cant support the weight of a vehicle, and crackle tunes/ghost cam tunes, and for diesels, rolling coal tunes.

    • @robertomoreno71
      @robertomoreno71 2 года назад +9

      It depends on how much lower the car will be, if it's only 30mm with the mentioned high quality springs in combination with quality oem or aftermarket shocks, it will be absolutely fine, the ride quality will be fine as mostly will the durability of the shocks be too

    • @DanielRichards644
      @DanielRichards644 2 года назад

      there are different grades of "coil overs", you can buy coil overs that are fitted to your stock shocks and be just as bad off as lowering springs, maybe worse if you lower the car more then the lowering springs would have, never mind the spring rates being worse, then you have the good coilovers that are a shock/spring matched pair, those are FAR FAR more expensive then buying lowering springs and a good set of shocks.

    • @batman3698
      @batman3698 2 года назад

      There is a little bit more to it.
      First of all, shock travel can be brought back with the use of an extended strut top. This essentially pulls the shock out and can even add a little bit of extra spring preload.
      Secondly, coilovers come in a variety of executions.
      There are coilovers which only have one adjustment collar for the spring seat. Cheap coilovers such as Raceland or TA are done like this. And much like with lowering springs, you're lowering these by releasing preload which also results in a shock compression when you lower it. There are some higher end coilovers which are also built like this such as Bilstein or H&R. There should be somewhat of a warning bell if these coilovers come with a "helper spring" since this is essentially made to allow the coilover to run with less than adequate preload which will result in a massive resting compression of the shock.
      The best design of coilover is the one that have a separate locking collar for the spring seat, and for the bottom section. If the bottom section (which attach to the spindle or bushing) can be adjusted independetly, then this coilover can be raised or lowered while maintaining ideal spring preload. Some examples are D2, Tein Flex, or even the cheapo Maxpeedingrods.

Keep in mind that wheels just hold the tires onto the rest of the car and tires are what really make a huge difference so unless you're fighting with deep pot holes in new york or driving on bumpy dirt roads everyday, replica wheels made using the same methods that the major car manufactures use to cut costs really won't hurt all that much.
