At 53:24 we get a glimpse of Steffi Graf and one of her charming kids hiding in a booth way up there. Here she looks pretty serious, even severe, as she usually did during her competing days, perhaps tired from watching her kids, or concerned about the way the match is going for Agassi. She's never displayed the common American smile anyway. Though Agassi, at 4-2, is ahead on the score of the 2d set. Steffi Graf, when spectating her husband's matches, does not usually like to get the camera focusing on her if seated in the lower rows of the players boxes or among the celebrities. Unlike Brooke Shields who always attracted the camera like a magnet and delighted in getting her lovely face plastered on the screens.of the world's TV audience. We can also spot Agassi occasionally looking upwards to the left of his chair, probably connecting with his wife. Brad Gilbert, his coach, and Gil Reyes, his trainer, are dutifully there as usual. During breaks, we can also observe Federer on his chair sometimes irresistibly looking upwards to his right, probably towards his team and friends, although the camera does not enlighten us by following his line of sight.
Later in the match, on the following day, at 2:46:58, Steffi Graf is seated lower down, in the player's box, with her lovely kid, and next to Gil Reyes, Agassi's faithful trainer and bodyguard. It's the fight set, and Agassi is holding his serve to even the score at 2-all. He's still a contender, keeping his chances alive to win the set and the match, for a spot in the semis. Steffi looks more relaxed and happier than the day before.
Federer's fine, Roman-like, features, athletic build, and his crew-neck shirt with a black neckline do give him some definite resemblance to Christopher Reeve's Superman. No doubt, Nike was at that time promoting him as the Superman of tennis, which he in fact was..
