The mushroom sequence that starts at 2:10 and the black comedy at 5:36 are priceless. I really like the the conveyor-rope/platform/saw run too. I know Ghost Houses are all about the puzzles and trickery, but it seems a lot more like an extensive, time-consuming process of elimination ("This pipe? Guess not...", "Over here? No..." until only the obviously correct ones are left), rather than something that involves some outside-the-box thinking. That peeve aside, this is a work of art.
By tools assisted, he means he uses saves states on a zsnes recorder. If you load a sate while you're using zsnes recorder, it doesn't record anything between the save and the load you used. It's quite useful to make a play through look like you didn't screw up, when in reality a 5 minute segment may have taken you 30 minutes.
naw. the hitbox for the blue fire is actually a lot smaller then you'd think. you can just touch the edges or they can pass through Marios cap and not hurt him. if you look closely again and again you'll see it never actually passed directly through him, just scraped the edges of the hitbox. remember this is being played frame by frame so the player was able to pull it off
Yes, but assuming you don't have Yoshi in the real Tubular level, it's much harder because the real level doesn't even have any spaces with a height of only one block. At least you can get away with having super-sized Mario when waiting for balloons. On the nose timing can also be disregarded.
My guess is that the hitboxes stay the same on mario even in balloon form, even when his sprite is bigger, thus letting his sprite touch the fireballs but not touch his hitboxes.
Question: at the end of the token rail level, if you don't hit those two blocks behind the goal do you fall to your death even during the little win animation?
Its a modded version of the game. He designed the levels and is showing them to you. If you read the description you would see that he was assisted by tools, thats why he didn't get hurt by the fire. He's not showing off how good he is, he's showing the levels he made -_-
Maybe some of them are making a bit little change and dare to challenge with the most difficulty hack games as many orignial people cannot achieve the mission. Like you are reached the last level ever!
The only differences between Intrigue and Kusottare that I see besides cross-border nationality... Intrigue doesn't appear to start out with cheap kills, and you don't have to move in the intro of Intrigue (you just get shot out of a pipe).
Hey Maxxim, how did you make it so that if you bring an item to the tape, you won't get a mushroom or anything?? A patch maybe?? and where can you get it?
He has a program which allows him to move in slow motion making his actions way easier. Then speeds them up to regular speed to make it look amazing. It's a cheat.
man... "This is a tool-assisted video, which means tools such as save states and slowdown were used in the process of making this video. " he never saud that he didn't use TAS.
Can someone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me what the controls are to keep flying when you get the FEATHER (on P.C) because I remember as a kid I could fly over half the maps but I don't know the control for it on p.c so now I fly for a second and then bomb to the floor PLEASE HELP!
Actualy, he could be using a slow down thing I've heard of, too, which makes the game pathetically easy. See Ilovelaurenp's play through of his own hack, Kussotarre (Sp)
@TheDoubleDragon296 Hack. Hell Super Mario Bros. 2 wasn't even released in the US until the SNES came out because Nintendo thought it was too hard for americans. You think this would be in lol?
The level design for this entire hack is phenomenal.
Cool levels, of course it's tool assisted... but even tool assisted, I saw him dying a couple times, expecially in the ghost house...
"Tubular" doesn't look much harder on this than the original game
The mushroom sequence that starts at 2:10 and the black comedy at 5:36 are priceless. I really like the the conveyor-rope/platform/saw run too. wow dude.. respect!!!
It took me weeks for some levels I played as a kid.
Love to see it after all those years.
It s the best game ever made no doubt
You got Great accuracy (the way you spin jump on the gjost on the cloud to get through the circle of ghost) and great timing!
I love the goal walk blocks at 6:45, very clever

this guys perfect framing is unbelievable
They all look so hard... except for the Red Switch Tower. That one actually looked fun!
awesome, loved the part with the mushroom at the beginning.
also, you can touch a little lava too. it won't kill you, but it will pull you in...
Also Maxxim, you are very creative in your romhacks!!
@benschlechter These are rom hack levels. You have to download the thing to play them on and the levels.
It was in the back door area of Bowser's Castle, if you're talking about the Ninjis.
yeah those blue flames have hilarious hitboxes
naw. the hitbox for the blue fire is actually a lot smaller then you'd think. you can just touch the edges or they can pass through Marios cap and not hurt him. if you look closely again and again you'll see it never actually passed directly through him, just scraped the edges of the hitbox. remember this is being played frame by frame so the player was able to pull it off
1:38 Yes, it's a castle, but its not Roy's one.
screwed up the words
best mario player ever... great videos im enjoying them all
Yes, but assuming you don't have Yoshi in the real Tubular level, it's much harder because the real level doesn't even have any spaces with a height of only one block. At least you can get away with having super-sized Mario when waiting for balloons. On the nose timing can also be disregarded.

i dont remember this game being this hard, but it does explain why i couldnt get past world 1 as a kid
Football guy-Im gonna get you Mario.
-jump- -miss-
Football guy-Damnit.
The ghost house looks like it would be a nightmare without a walkthrough.
rofl @ 5:40 yoshi was saying "hopefully I'll be with you for a long time" not even 5 seconds he got dropped lmaooo
@ukhan491 It's a TAS run, the pc is playing for him, due to slowdown and playeing at 1 fps you can "clip" through enemies.
these are some really cool levels. i became questionable at 7:18, 7:26, 7:33, and 7:36, however, when you passed through fire or ghosts
Hopefully i'll be with you for a log time.
1 second later
Mario:"bye Yoshi!"
@PivotDanman U can go right through anyone if u do spin jump. but if u do normal jumps u will die. try it out ur self
You're a pretty good TASer. Subbed
the first level reminds of the special level called "Tubular" in the real non hack version
That's because lakitu can't really be killed and becase mario is carrying something they sort of cancel each other out. It's always been like that.
That Tubular Level, way to stick it to people that use the blue yoshi trick and that's it.
Question: at the end of the token rail level, if you don't hit those two blocks behind the goal do you fall to your death even during the little win animation?
I remember watching this a lot back in 2011
@benschlechster These are rom hack levels.
dude are you seriously a god or something? lawl
not, they made an appearance in super mario world, i think it was in the chocolate secret, the one with all the chargin chucks
Its a modded version of the game. He designed the levels and is showing them to you. If you read the description you would see that he was assisted by tools, thats why he didn't get hurt by the fire. He's not showing off how good he is, he's showing the levels he made -_-
He's not playing. He's using tools, so the system never makes a mistake. Hell, he even gets hit a few times if you apy attention.
Maybe some of them are making a bit little change and dare to challenge with the most difficulty hack games as many orignial people cannot achieve the mission. Like you are reached the last level ever!
The only differences between Intrigue and Kusottare that I see besides cross-border nationality...

Hey Maxxim, how did you make it so that if you bring an item to the tape, you won't get a mushroom or anything?? A patch maybe?? and where can you get it?
@Maxxim202,
Hello mate, nice game! Is there a way for me to get this on my psp snes emulator?
@andrei7311 dude he used hacks to create it, not to play it. anyway its a tool-assisted run, as mentioned in the description
Cómo haces para que los mounstros no te hagan daño?
He has a program which allows him to move in slow motion making his actions way easier. Then speeds them up to regular speed to make it look amazing. It's a cheat.
When hes at the part whr the ghost is holding a blue fire on a string, isnt the blue fire supposed to kill him?
Great vid. The Yoshi part had me LOL.
This is a castle....
no, it's NOT ROY's one.
Mario never dies
tolls
Is this thing even possible w/out invincibility or whatever you are running? God knows you are getting hit and not dying.
The fact that you can see bad guys run through Mario is the only thing really that shows its bull
Eevn though you should have got killed by enemies about 5 times, that's still pretty slick skills!
Also, at 4:28, he gets hit by the hammer, and is suppoed to be hurt by the hammer bros. There's no way he wouldn't take damage.
"Yay! Its mario! I know we are gonna be together for a long time!" *DIES*
man...
"This is a tool-assisted video, which means tools such as save states and slowdown were used in the process of making this video. "
he never saud that he didn't use TAS.
i lold so hard at yoshis speech before he died
Why was there two red switchs? @ 4:55 and 5:02
that fish on the first level was probably like FUUUUUUUUU...
Existe ese Super Mario World???? nunca lo e visto y pa q consola es????
@ Slyrupa1, How is it fake?
What is left + right?
What happens if you hit the first pink switch?
Who the hell made this hack? A really sadist to say the least!
3 words: not possibly human. Also: 4:23 GIMME A HUG!
It reminds me of Super Mario Bros 2: The Lost Levels in regards to level of difficulty
I like watching this vid...and I don't care that you used TAS, but you didn't even TRY to make it look legit for the ghost house lol.
How did you get these levels? Whenever I played the game, I didn't see the Intrigue levels
1:25 This is a castle, but it's not Roy's one...
I like the complication of the ghost house
@Gwaping723 and you're right! PS: it's not a secret, look in the description...
5:36 aww... Yoshi was feeling very loone- WTF!? DID YOU JUST LET HIM DIE!? YOU ARE A MEAN PERSOOOOOOON!!! lol
Do this levels really exist?
is this game part of super mario world or is it a hack
Amazing
AWESOME!
Or download Lunar Magic, so you don't have to stare at hexadecimal in order to edit something.
How can i make a Super Mario World Hack Also?
Haha, Yoshi was all happy to see him, then Mario killed him less than one second later. xD
U know after watching this there is no way I can play this game all over again...it is WAY to hard lol
@Barragepkz: Yeah. Just like the demotivational poster.
Yoshi: Hopefully I'll be with you for a long t-
Mario, you traitorous swine.
He says that in the description :P
Muahaha A Tubular: Romhack Edition. Good (or not so good) to see that the hardest level of the original gets its revenge.
1. Pipeline Fly
2. Lee's Castle
3. Red Swith Hotel
4. Chopped Up
5. Abandoned Ghost House
I pissed of amazement from 8:37-8:44! IT WAS GOZ MOVES!
I thought I was good, until I saw this guy
intriguing
it is posible. you can try it and this is called as TAS
2:01 you get touched by the turtle... but you didnt die! XD
u should speed run this hack ftw
ur so freaking fast
I didn't know there were 'Chuck Norris plays...' videos on RUclips!
seriously that ghost hosue was pushing it O.O
i can't believe it's true. you are a monster!
Omg dude Yoshi wanted to stay with Mario xD
Actualy, he could be using a slow down thing I've heard of, too, which makes the game pathetically easy. See Ilovelaurenp's play through of his own hack, Kussotarre (Sp)
@TheDoubleDragon296 Hack. Hell Super Mario Bros. 2 wasn't even released in the US until the SNES came out because Nintendo thought it was too hard for americans. You think this would be in lol?
i never knew this existed!
hilarious how he just blows through this game like its nothing.
That's exactly what happened.
