    Bro this is the tip of the iceberg . You won't believe what these guys can do musically . This is a band of actual genius's Maynard the singer is not just a singer . The man was a forward observer in the army, he is a wine maker , vinyard owner , high level martial artist, comedian , and a actor. He does just about anything you can think of and does it all very well. I can't wait to see what you think of some of their other stuff . May I suggest latarlaus next. They used the fibinacci ( killed the spelling ) code to make the song which is pretty much the sequence of life or something like that . Truely a one of a kind band that makes unbelievable music

    There is a group of kids who covered this. You should look that up and react to it. You’ll love it. Just started watching your videos. Very cool, man. Someone below mentioned how cool it is watching someone watch (and love) these songs for the first time - just like we did. He is so right. Its like reliving that moment; it’s cathartic. It’s beautiful. Looking forward to more!

    I read something years ago that said that Maynard Keenan and Tori Amos were friends, may still be, and when Tori was feeling down, Maynard would sing her lullabies over the phone...love that.

    • @eastcoastemt9392
      @eastcoastemt9392 6 лет назад

      Susan R My friend had a bottle of Maynard's wine autographed, said he was a complete snob. I've heard he has horrible stage freight, did the whole concert like Van Morrison, back to the crowd. Saw Tori in 1998 on her Raspberry Swirl tour. She crotch slammed her piano bench the whole time. Great concert though. Ugh, just dated myself. That lullaby in Pans Labyrinth, SO GOOD!!!

    @IceKoldKilla 6 лет назад +3

    They don't have multiple part videos but they do have songs that lyrically are telling the singer's story about his frustration with religion and his mother who was super religious. These songs are across his 3 bands. Some of them from Tool: Jimmy, Wings for Marie (Pt 1), 10,000 Days (Pt 2) and maybe even The Patient.
    With A Perfect Circle: Judith
    With Puscifer: Horizons (imo)

    What I love about your reactions is that we can actually watch as you get drawn deeply into it. That’s what Tool does. You should seriously consider watching some of their live stuff. Sober live changes the way you feel about the song as you can see the raw emotion portrayed in it. Dig deeper into the lyrics too. You should listen to everything they’ve done. Truly remarkable band.

    Actually a bad video for that kind of song.. makes you miss the point and if you dont know that this is not an official video then you are trying to interpretate the lyrics through the video (dont know who thought that Pan's Labyrinth would suit this song). It would be better with only the lyrics and some explanation.

    @King KTF - recently subscribed to your channel. Love seeing someone experience Tool for the first time! Made this suggestion in a few other videos. Go back to Undertow and REACT TO FLOOD. You won't regret it.
    And to clarify, Tool doesn't just become someone's favorite "right now". Once you experience this band like I can see you have, they will ALWAYS be your favorite. In this genre, for sure... NOTHING comes close. Nothing ever has and nothing ever will. They have SOOOOOO much good music out there. Tool has been my favorite band since I was 15 years old. I'm 40 now.

    All of tools albums are best experienced with the full album, each one is a unique separate view of Maynard's mind. What a lot of people don’t know is that Maynard used to be very tight with a comedian named Bill Hicks. He was waaayyyyyy ahead of his time, kinda like Kaufman, and died of I think liver disease or cancer way too early in his life. This song is more or less based on one of his bits, on an album called “Arizona Bay”. In fact this entire album is dedicated to Bill Hicks and a short clip of one of his bits is on the track “Third Eye”. We need to get you to react to some Bill Hicks man he’s off the chain.

      Manguy mcDudebro Lars wishes he had a fraction of Danny Carey’s drumming ability and that’s being generous lol

    "it is believed the song references a wish to experience change through the 'shadow', an idea which represents the parts of one's identity that one hates, fears, and represses, this exists as a recurring in the work of Carl Jung." Carl Jung and Tool, all one really needs. 👍
