If you look at my thumbnails for episodes 4 & 8, I was able to point out one of the billion cool visual narrative tricks the Arcane team did, I just so happened to have good faces on both of those spots, but yeah, take a look.

Also I love how they are kinda opposites in terms of narrative. In ep 4 Cait found Jinx. In ep 8, Jinx found Cait.
In this episode man, Vi thinks that Jinx/Powder dies in the fight with ekko, thats why she is so confident to say who is she
Nah, people dont give enough credit to the Victor running scene
We are looking at a man, who had never been able to run in his life
AND he runs past a boat, while in his youth he was struggling to just catch up to the boat he made

Hell, he has never even been able to walk properly (been using a cane since he was a kid). Cant imagine what that would feel like to finally be able to do so much more.
That's why I love the scream, there's so much pain and bitterness, but also elation, exhilaration, all of it bound up inside that he can finally let loose. It's a really powerful moment.

Don't be too sad when it's over. The re-watchability of Arcane is also thru the roof. You can watch it all 10 more times and still pick up new things on the 10th viewing.
Oooh... I was just watching a reaction to Episode #4 and made a discovery (I must be on around my 50th time watching this). Anyway it's a little bit spoilerific for someone who is only on Episode #4 but I need to write it down somewhere before I forget. We are aware the Jinx's mental maturity is stuck on the night of "the incident" of episode #3. That's why she still acts like a little girl. She can't move past that moment in time. Now... here is the discovery... In episode #4, when she has set the trap for Caitlyn and the other enforcers with the fire and the bombs and then steals the Hextek crystal and Jayces notes. Jinx lures them into her trap "Help!", "It's so hot", "I'm trapped", "I'm a helpless little girl, and I've set the building on fire", "By accident... totally by accident". Jinx is actually telling her own story from the day she can't forget. She is "trapped" in that moment and "It's so hot". "Help!". "Also, I brought this dynamite (hextek crystal)... goodbye...." Goodbye enforcers, goodbye family. I've set the building on fire. By accident, totally by accident.

The gauntlets are called the Atlas Gauntlets (that's what they are called in the game, and Jayce calls them that in episode 4), and his hammer is called the Mercury Hammer. When in blaster mode it is referred to as the Mercury Cannon.
It's curious because sometimes they write in English, sometimes in some invented language and they call some stuff by original names and some other by names related to actual mythology. Interesting and weird mix of realities there.
I've always liked the Mercury names for his weapon. Mercurial means something that's easily changeable (often at a whim), so it can apply to his dual mode weapon.
Viktor running faster than the boat is the best thing
That whole sequence of scenes ... starting with Viktor running and ending with ... Sky ... is so so good , music specially !!!
It's crazy because Viktor starting running is one of the most predictable scenes in the entire show - everybody said "oh he's gonna start to run" when they saw him walking. Yet the scene is still freaking amazing due to perfection execution - music, lighting, motion, emotion, symbolism - all perfect!!

21:14 Pretty sure Vi was referring to herself as a "real monster". She was just talking about "pretending to be monsters" which scared Powder when she went overboard, then talked about "scaring her own monsters away" until what happened at the end of ep 3.

The monster story told in chapter 8 is revealed again by jinx in chapter 9.
Although Jinx doesn't explain it fully, he has something to say in reference to it.
Can’t wait for episode 9 next week. Probably the best episode next to episode 3.

Last episode it was with Ekko, this episode it was with Vi. When Vi first uses her actual weapons from the game at the start of the Shimmer factory fight, Shark says "Here comes Vi", which is the name of her own song xD

Something dark and manipulative within the arcane realm is trying to claw its way into their plain of reality through the hexcore . And viktor is the lifeline . By this point I think Vi absolutely loves Jinx but doesn't believe in her, in the sense that she doesn't trust her. She's already tried to kill her and the people she cares about several times. Besides that, she's seen how she actually enjoys violence and that she ins't really with Silco because she has to. And obviously Vi has seen to how unstable she is now. I don't think she's so sure now about whether she can take Jinx back on track as she were 1 or 2 episodes ago, at all.

What's best about the council scene is that what Vi's saying is wrong for Silco but applies to her. Silco is willing to negotiate, as Jayce shows next episode, but Vi hates Silco too much to consider negotiating with him. And it obviously warps her image of him, especially since he killed Vander, was partially responsible for her brothers' deaths and he made Powder into jinx(in vi's mind)

2023 is very optimistic. season 1 took 6 years to make >
The 6 years was from concept to complete product. I heard they had to tweak it quite a lot to get it just right, plus they grew the studio quite a bit.
Season 2 will not take nearly as long to make, maybe coming out early 2023 (but more likely late 2023)
