    - EPISODE NOTES
    This is the third episode on the topic of a RUclipsr who goes by the phony name of Bernard “Beerdy” McAlister. “Beerdy” has built a large following of idiot casuals who couldn’t tell a real Bruce Lee fact apart from a Bugs Bunny storyline. “Beerdy’s” bizarrely popular channel uses a peculiar mix of clickbait titles combined with idiot-cringe level fake Bruce Lee stories. Unfortunately, scores of viewers who lack critical thinking skills (or the ability to do a simple Google search) somehow think that an anonymous RUclipsr with phony MMA credentials has access to information and videos that the rest of the world does not. The scope of his channel makes me feel that it is worthy to fight such massive disinformation. In this episode, I tackle a few of “Beerdy’s” recent videos which have taken a departure from his old style. He now seems to be posting more footage from mostly unrelated interviews in what seems to be the lazy phase of this fraudulent confidence trickster. This time I bring some friends to share the pain of Beerdy’s latest cringebait.
    Enjoy the cringe that is the number one Bruce Lee channel on RUclips!

    About Bolo's English, stuntman Bill Shaw had the following anecdote about having lunch with John Salvitti during the making of Shootfighter 2 (1996): "The room was completely empty now except for us and Bolo. After just a moment, he put down his paper, leaned over toward us and asked, in the best English I had ever heard him speak, “So, where do you guys go after this?” Our jaws dropped as he just smiled and we had a nice little conversation. The rest of the shoot, however, Bolo continued to speak in his broken English. That is, whenever he spoke - which was rare. I always took that moment in the lunchroom as an honor - as Bolo’s approval and his gesture of trust in us."

    I've only seen one video from Beerdy. The "I FOUND IT! Bruce Lee Vs. Chuck Norris" clickbait. In that video, he shows off three Norris vs. Lewis fights, one he claims is Lee vs. Lewis, one Lee vs. Inosanto, and one Lee vs Taky Kimura. Literally none of them are Lee vs Norris, and one looks like a completely unrelated fight from the 1972 Paris WUKO but with the line sync decimated.

    Bruce has said what he does in the movies looks good in the movies flashy moves but it wouldn't work in a street fight, and Chuck Norris has talked alot of shit saying Bruce wasn't a real fighter when in reality Chuck has never been in a real fight other than tournaments where there's referees and rules.

      There’s been a few comments by chuck on talk shows about Bruce not being a pro like he was. Chuck even talked a little trash while Bruce was alive and had to apologize in a letter which you can find if you Google it.

      @JKDVIPER Месяц назад

      Ya, you’re right. Bruce’s own personal system was a mix of western boxing, wing chun, and northern systems of kicking he experimented with. His own personalized system had SAVATE, WING CHUN, SOUTHERN MANTIS JUDO kickboxing, and CATCH WRESTLING holds mainly. The SAVATE kicking used like a fencers sword.

      @@FURDOG1961 Go here on YT for "chuck norris classic fight with bruce lee", and watch Chuck in the Conan O'Brien show in 1995. At some point, Chuck says Bruce never fought professionally, and its a difference to kick a bag who wont hit back, as fight someone who fights back.
      Funny is even the statement about "professional fighter" is a lie. All these pointe karate clowns werent even professional but amateur fighters instead, this was also pointed out by Matt Polly in his "BL - A Life" biography.
      The only real pro fighters in the 1960s in the USA were boxers, like Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, Sonny Liston, Floyd Patterson, and of course Joey Orbillo, the man who sparred Bruce.

    The two students that visited Bruce during Christmas of 72' in HK was Herb Jackson and Ted Wong, Herb was mainly a welder so I think he did most the job for building the Marcy Machine. And the pic of Bruce that is next to Arnold is actually from March 13th 1973, I think he was filming ETD still, but it's true that Bob Baker was with him when he was visiting his old school, there's pictures floating around.
    If you look at page 129 in Wrath of the Dragon you'll see John Little the date and there is a pic of him shaking brother Edwards' hand.

    I am a bit late about this, but still: After listening to some of Beerdy's video's again, he sounds a bit like the kickboxing legend Badr Hari. And no, they have different voices and arent the same people, but the accent sounds similar. So I wouldnt count it out if Beerdy is actually an Arab. I think it's fair to say Beerdy's first language is most probably not english since he has that accent. So maybe his roots are North Africa like Marocco or so, Badr is from Marocco.
    It would indeed make sense. Because if you read YT comments its obvious Bruce Lee among the first/second world is not the same Bruce Lee as he is in the third world. You will notice Beerdy potrays the private man Bruce Lee exactly like his Estate does, I mean the philosopher and guru, not the rockstar, hippie and ladies man.
    And at least from what I saw and read over the past years, these comment like "Sifu Lee was always meditating, he would never cheat his lovely wife, Betty was just a good friend of his, he would never take any drugs beacuase they arent healthy", etc., very often coming from people who are from India (Hindi), african and arabic areas, I mean people with names from these areas write that kind of comments.

    I heard that Bruce Lee was teaching Original JKD to Brandon and Shannon. One day, he noticed Dan Inosanto spying on them. Instead of sending him away, he immediately started teaching Silat and Muay Thai and Filipino techniques on the fly. That's how JKD Concepts was created. Many years later, one of Inosanto's students was in Seattle. He challenged a woman to a fight and was soundly beaten. It turned out that the woman was actually Shannon Lee, and she had beaten him using the Original JKD from her father. He studied with her for some years and then brought the secrets of Original JKD back to LA with him. But out of respect for Dan Inosanto, he didn't teach Original JKD in his home town. Instead, he taught JKD Concepts. Eventually, however, he met Beerdy, and taught him the true Original JKD. He told Beerdy that he was the only one he ever taught Original JKD to, and warned him to keep it secret.

    Beerdy's contents are getting more and more BS. I have a friend who knows this lady who worked at Golden Harvest, responsible for washing Bruce Lee's Game of Death yellow tracksuit. He asked me if I wanted to meet her to ask her some questions. What she said was that she was stressed out keeping that tracksuit in fresh condition. I asked her if I tell people this, they won't believe me. So she took a white t-shirt, put it on the ground and put her foot stamp on it and said she measured it, "32cm". So I shook her hand, the hand that touched the tracksuit.
