So I picked up archery a few months ago... I'm in love. I'm already on the competitive team, and watching the Olympic archers helps so much! They have so much inspiration for the young archers!
How old are you, can I ask? I want to try it too
i am 16
Genevieve McPartlin thanks) i am 20, but I guess, it's never late to start
nope its not. Just be prepared to be sore all over for a while. My shoulders and back still hurt if i shoot too much
I've been an archer for 4 years now, and after a while, you don't get sore anymore, because you build strength. By the way, what bow type do you shoot? I'm a recurve archer
This is why I started picking up Archery at my university. So much goes on when loading an arrow, and the mentality behind is the most crucial component.
I'm not saying shooting a rifle or pistol is easy, cause it ain't. However, shooting a bow requires a very complex technique, so 10 hours of training every day is understandable. Respect for the great dedication every top sportsman/woman has to have for their sport.
This is the elite level. 10 hours a day for Olympics. You can shoot well with much less.
10 hours a day??!! Respect
makes so much comprehensible sense
Love it at 2:10 + - watching hat arrow go through paradox.
Good video overall
Recurve bows are center-shot, so the archer's paradox is eliminated (it would give inconsistency)
True... there is a good read on this on wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archer%27s_paradox
Randy please explain further ... is the recurve notched out for the arrow?
This does not eliminate paradox. You load the arrow from the back and the fingers, even with a very good release, pushed the back of the arrow to the left. You can see paradox on photos, especially in slow-mo. Check the Werner Beiter videos.
Fantastic
point pull breathe extend ????? good video
