Its going to be a long long time to completely develop Philippines and spread the discipline and ethics. So sad to see our country is still in a bad shape.
I'm with Paolo about the timing to go to the airport. I'm usually the on-time type of person but airport is a special case. Especially because anything can happen, change of flight timings, traffic jam while on the way, which happens a lot here in Indonesia.
Gotta say, I have no intention of traveling to the Philippines anytime soon, but your vlogs are very entertaining. I'd watch your videos no matter where you are, be it in Japan or anywhere else
Hey folks boracay ialand is fantastic spent 5 days there about 20 years ago. It is a fun place to hang out. The people taking showers in the toliet were probably Chinese as they have done the same at the airport where I live Chiang Mai, Thailand.
i stayed there 4 times ,,business class rooms with separate bedoom and big sala....i am coming back this year again....my last stay was june 2018 twice..
Another great vlog, Paolo! I enjoyed watching it. Love all the transitions in your video. I can see you put in a lot of effort. I need to learn from you. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Amy, Yeah these videos take up a lot of time. Wish I could get one out everyday but just too busy with other stuff. Gotta work on speeding up the production. Thanks again for watching. Talk to you again next time!
I love Paolo's vlogs. They're informative and easy to watch due to how laid back they are. It may be sensitive of me to say this, but I found various aspects of his vlogs of the Philippines rather insulting. Yes, the Philippines is far from being a cultural and economic powerhouse, but it is home to various beautiful places and equally beautiful people. I, too, am an expatriate and it is inevitable to compare the countries one lives in and the one he hails from, but I always do my best to highlight the best the Philippines has got to offer when I am talking to people of other nationalities, not condemn it for its faults. In all honesty, I share his sentiments towards the seemingly backward aspects of local life but Paolo has got a vast audience around the world. I suppose my point is that he use his influence more responsibly so as not to impose contempt on the people and hate on the Philippines even before giving it a chance. The Philippines will always be my home and I will always love it despite its flaws. I hope that as a Filipino himself, he will do the same. -an OFW in England
True. I noticed that Japan's advanced technology and politeness is always all over the internet but no one hardly talks about the dark side of Japan. Philippines's "dirt" is atleast out in the open but Japan likes to cover theirs at all cost.
maybe they are poor and really need to clean up. Maybe poor to the point to poverty... if I was starving to death and havent showered in 2 weeks, I'd prob do that too tbh... what other choice you got?
See the problem is that we are not starving to death so its really hard for us to see it in other people's shoe. I dont think a person who are rich or lives comfortably will ever do that. If you got your own shower at home, why would you do that right? I travel and visit Philippines sometimes and every time I see poor person, I always want to give them money. But the problem with that again is that my friend gave money to a kid that was asking for money and he called a taxi. When he got in the taxi, a swarm of 5~7 kids all came to the window and banging on the window demanding for money and blocking the taxi. This is something I want to avoid... Am I supposed to only give money to adults? it felt like the kids were trained or forced by adults to do that. Worst part is when they dont know how to say thank you. I understand a lot of them arent educated because they dont have money in school so they probably dont know how to thank someone properly.. or is it the emotional stress and the abuse they've been dealing with to the point where they cant even tell the difference between a kind person or a normal person anymore? It sucks the most if your a kid whos gotta grow up in poverty. I say bring half of those poverty kids to USA and give them education and I promise you that they will 90% become doctors from their situation. Rich kids are spoiled as crap.. Im 1 of them and Im ashamed..
I just stumbled upon your videos today and so far it's been very informative and entertaining. Keep it up bro! Btw, what's your ethnicity? So far loving all the videos I've watched.
Since the first time I saw you on your Naruto and Boruto theme park vlog, I really thought that you're a Filipino. Not sure though. But you make awesome vids!
I’m enjoying all the interesting vlogs at different Locations in various countries. I have a question...how are you American but your parents are from the Philippines 🇵🇭? The hotel is Awesome and I love the easygoing personality of the people there. 🙇🏻♀️❤️🔍👍🏽😉
Steph Allan I’m not sure, but some Pilipinos work and settle in other countries. I’m guessing Paolo’s parents who are Pilipinos settled in America and became a citizen when Paolo was born. So Paolo grew up there in America
Hey Tokyo Lens, yeah...I thought it super random for guys to be taking showers in the toilet stall. looks like they brought their soap though. thanks again for commenting. talk to you again later.
Hi How come that guy that works at the hotel didn't know you were Filipino? Ok like when I go to places people don't know if I'm Dominican, Black or from Africa, but that's in Europe, not in my home country. All the best Shaun of NYC
He looks Filipino but he has a different aura. Like, his style isn't very typical Filipino? Also he's American so the accent difference to distinguish between Filipino or Malaysian/Indonesian/Brunei disappears.
Hey Paolo. I enjoy your content about Tokyo where you always come out happy and cheerful But seeing you vlog in the Philippines, I'm seeing you in a different light ...also can't believe you said you were half filipino, I thought you were a 100% pinoy?
I dont know how he is half when his parents are both pinoy. He might have been adopted in the US by some american, bcuz he seems to hate everything in the philippines
Hey Phil, we try to have fun with all of this. I'm in Tech / PM consulting and Maiko was originally in Fashion, but hoping to do more content creation moving forward. thank again for watching. talk you again later.
Most likely not Pilipinos. Maybe tourists from China. Though some minority Pilipino Muslims from the country-side would wash their feet in the in washbasin, which are totally frown upon.
Hey Vin, actually don't know who was in there before me. Just thought it to be inconsiderate to leave a mess behind for the next person using the bathroom stall and sink.
Yes. He's fro Bauang, La Union. Philippines. Paulo de Guzman is his name & brought up in America. No wonder he talks like an American. He knows how to speak the Ilocano dialect. I agree with you Paolo, I like to be in the airport 2 hours before the flight to pass security and just take it easy. I hate to be rushing .
I'm with Paolo about the timing to go to the airport.

I loved it when you compared both air lines with how many people were there haha
Love your vlogs. You guys are amazing.
I love to be at the airport earlier too just for that buffer time safety.. Its all good..
I like this style of filming, great editing.

You can request for a room with a large bed instead of two single beds, or request that the two beds be fused
Hontou ni Arigatou. God bless you

oh i've stayed in that hotel! Pretty good for the price

In Manila Airports...buffer for time always a must.
Yup! for me, it's a must at any airport. :-)

Polite and nice are two different things. Filipinos are more nice, and japanese are more polite IMO
Exactly. They're polite to a fault. Which doesn't really correlate to being nice.
Nice
