Vanessa I don't know how you do it!! Every week you bring us, the most interesting vlogs, the most dynamic people you meet along the way, the best landscape views , flora fauna and fungus and interesting tidbits of information. You and Zephyr present the most magical parts of England. Thank You.
Absolutely agree the videos you make are beautiful as is your poetry. This one is of particular interest cos we are planning our annual narrowboat holiday for next summer around this area. Starting from the Anderton boat lift area and heading northwards on T&M ( this year we went towards Stoke on Trent )
Back in the 80s as a kid, we used to do sponsored walks along the river Brent in the Hanwell section for charity. I always thought the cancel water looked creepy and would look out for bodies (yes I was an odd kid). One year we spotted two! Turns out they were shop dummies someone had dumped.
Vanessa your videos are the highlight of my week and I cannot begin to imagine all the time and effort attached to each one. Thank you for sharing snippets of your world and the beautiful nature photography. I’m glad Zephyr found a warm coat to her liking 🩷🩷
OH! NO!! ... Not TV! .... Look what it DID to Robbie Cummings 🤨 ... TV usurps all innocence and the Feel-Good Factor out of EVERYTHING!! ..... NO! - Not TV! 😈
Your very brave skippering that boat all on your own, but of course Zepha is your faithful bodyguard, but what a lovely life you lead out there on the canals .
Thank you so much for your kind comment. My husband was with me on this trip. He works away for part of the week and he can't be in the vlogs due to the sensitive nature of his job. He there on the cruising day though. Take care 🦋🌻
Vanessa, you have the wonderful talent to make the mundane marvellous. I enjoy every moment of the time you so graciously share with us. I wish you peace when the cold winds blow Warmed by the fire's glow I wish you comfort in the, the lonely time Arms to hold you when you ache inside -- Eagles *_I Wish You Peace_*
Great Vlog...as usual. Sorry about my obsession to say Zepher is a good boy. Shes a good girl....Like her mum. Thank you for giving us peace every Friday. Be well and safe travels
This video was so interesting and captivating, that I was genuinely surprised when I heard the whistle of the tea kettle and realized we were at the end already! All the autumnal colors make the landscape look like a living painting, a grand tapestry of nature's version of one of your artistic journals. I loved your little laugh when you told us your definition of what ' very early in the morning' was lol. Ah the life of a self-determining adventurer. Zeph's bargaining skills at being able to negotiate for treats is truly champion. Thank you for another great video Vanessa; my prayers are for you and all yours, and a safe and beautiful winter!
Being from NZ and Australia, as i am, that's the first and only time I've been into Manchester and seen Old Trafford..... You must have fun editing each vlog... The Aurora was visible in both Australia and NZ twice this year, in places never seen, ever, before.....
Lego! .. We were walking along the Henley Tow-path last week and there's a chap there cladding the WHOLE! of the top half of his narrowboat above the gunnels with the small lego bricks ... A lot of work, but very impressive 😄 .... My daughter who lives just a couple of miles away sent me through a pic of the Northern Lights the other day, asking Me if I was seeing them? - I wasn't - It was then she said You have to look through a Camera or Phone to see them, and that She couldn't see them with the naked eye either - Who Knew EH?? - Not Me! .......
Oh my goodness twice!! Firstly, I must see this Lego narrowboat cladding! This is such a unique idea that I’m sure will look incredible. 🤩 And then, I didn’t know that you can still see the northern lights through a camera lens even if you can’t see them with your own eyes. I shall try that next opportunity. Thank you so much for the education. Take care 🦋🌻
Lymm is a lovely village with quaint cottages and shops, plus quite a variety of fungi to be seen along your walk. The Velvet Shank fungi was beautiful and your selfie with the Earth Star mushroom was delightful too. So lovely cruising with the autumnal light with the foliage in golden fall colors as you head north towards Manchester. Both you and Zephyr looked spiffy and winter-ready in your new coats! BEautiful illustrations of the Collared Earth Star and Cheeky Squirrel. Jenny

Sheer joy! Your lovely tea ritual is so heartwarming, the shopping spree with lovely outfits for both! The drawings I so look forward to after every episode!
Hello again! What a beautiful vlog this was. So vibrant and colorful. Amazing! Loved seeing the village of Lymm, had never seen nor heard of it before. And thanks to you I can finally put a name to Velvet Shank fungi. Seen it many times in pictures and videos, never knew what it was called before. Both you and Zephyr looked ready for the catwalk in your new Elements gear! Thanks again, and best wishes! As always!
Hello Vanessa and Zeph, I think compared to all the regulars who are doing a similar live aboard to you and Zeph. There is a considerable difference with you, namely your age. You have done it right, taken the considerable gamble and I salute you! All the others are middle or late middle aged retirees with wives or partners, and apart from loaner Kevin on the old trad nb Aslan, who has it appears an unlimited budget, all the kit and other interest of serious and expensive motorcycle touring. They like you are on fairly new, semi-trad style boats, which certainly lend themselves to much more congenial travelling. I began my interest in canals in my mid-twenties, but then my cruising was pure holiday hiring from the few hire fleet companies who were around in those far off days. Facilities were virtually non-existent, there were very few boatyards, big off line marinas were years ahead, and so it was very much one was on one’s own! Literally as the canals were very run down in the early seventies, and there were very few other boaters or moored craft! When my wife bought our big heavy trad style narrow boat, mainly as a live aboard, and as that it was very comfortable! But it was not a comfortable cruising boat for two, as the steerer was on the tiller flat, and the other person had to stand in the entrance to the boatman’s cabin often in the way of the traditional push/pull gear selector or the speed wheel! Or on the five inch wide gunwale and hold on to the cant rails, both seriously uncomfortable for extended cruising! But even in the early nineties, it was all so very rural, generally underpopulated and actually a lot different and very magical! But in five years it all began to change exponentially, and by the time I took early retirement from ten years of building and fitting out narrow boats for a premier builder in the West Midlands at Stourton on the Stourbridge Sixteen in the new millennium. Huge changes had taken place, and big money was involved in creating huge marinas and boatbuilding yards producing floating cottages with every conceivable facility one could imagine, and a quality Les Allen built traditional narrow boat with a vintage Gardner engine like ours at Iro 30k, had been usurped by all mod con boats costing around three hundred thousand pounds!!! All this and I am so very glad that there is still a great interest and desire for dropping out and alternative living, thought I have to say that I, and my narrow boating friends of my era all of similar age, actors Tim and Pru West and Sir David Suchet, probably enjoyed the canals when it was a much less hectic environment and costly pastime! But I would not have missed it for the world. Stay safe and well you and lovely Zephyr. I love your blogs, you are a fund of knowledge and your enthusiasm is so infectious, a magic so talented artist and no mean poet. God bless stay safe well and warm together, love from Blaze and me xxx.
What an incredible experience that must have been and to have been enjoying leisure boating as it was all starting. 🤩 Thank you for watching. Take care 🦋🌻
Zephyr loves shopping as she seems to get so many treats in the shops that are dog friendly. Thank you so much for watching. Have a super rest of the weekend. Take care 🦋🌻
Hello Mindful Narrowboater; I think that was your best vlog yet; the journey into Manchester was surreal. I lived in Manchester from 1971 to 1979 and loved it. To approach it by narrowboat was like seeing it for the first time. I am amazed that you take it 'all in your stride' now; some of those locks looked really scary. I think your winter outfit is very chic; and Zephyrs coat too. Good luck. Pete Glyde
For many decades I have seen winters come and I'm not a big fan of this season. The cook a lot eat a lot season. But then summer comes again and we lose that 20 lbs again. Canals in the country side and villages towns and cities how can you not enjoy that. 👌 🇨🇦 👍
Hi Vanessa, Zephyr maybe even more accepting of the coat if you rub it over the duvet so it has your scents on it although she looks quite happy. Loved the ramble and the star fungi and your bat drawing. Can't wait until this journal is ready for sale =-) Take care and keep warm =-)
Such beautiful scenery, basically everywhere you look. North... The cold 🥶 is right around the corner... Autumn and winter are special for me... A wonderful blog!😊
Vanessa, have you tried a child's sweater/jumper cotton or mix fabric. You cut the sleeves to the length of her front legs. You can find it at a thrift store. Just size it to her head size and body. Usually dogs get used to it after a few wears.
What a great idea- the only thing with Zeph is she won’t step into a coat as she doesn’t like anything or anyone touching her paws. Thank you so much for watching. Have a super rest of the weekend. Take care 🦋🌻
@@themindfulnarrowboat I'm so glad I didn't tell you to use the leftover sleeve to make her booties. 😕 FYI when an animal is sensitive to touch, they were constantly bitten by their siblings in the litter as a pecking order, whether the ears, tail or feet. Thanks for responding to my comments. Wishing you wonderful boating weather. Love your new coat. Big hugs to Zeph.
Hi, Vanessa. I live in Saskatchewan, Canada. In the winter, we often have temperatures in the -30C range and sometimes -40C. My dog, a standard poodle, doesn't have a coat, nor does my neighbour's chocolate lab. Even my other neighbour's doxies are coatless( though they don't stay out too long at those temps). They are all fine! My dog will sit outside on a snowbank as happy as Larry for quite a while. Don't worry about Zeph! She'll be fine!
That is sooooo cold! That makes so much sense about the dogs. I know that Labradors were bred to swim in icy water and retrieve fishermen’s shell fish which is probably why she doesn’t think that she needs a coat. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. Take care 🦋🌻
Thanx for another wonderful video. I love seeing the landscape from the boat. Your poetry and sketches are beautiful. I laughed at Bollin with Collin, quite clever really
Hi Vanessa each week you bring magic to our lives ,, wonderful going into Manchester and stocking up for your first winter north it may be ok love your warm coat have a good week xxx
My happy chill I/2 hour of the week!!! And a totally different vlog, but not disappointed in any way, never fail to learn something new, “ the suns peak of its 11 year cycle. Love these vlogs Vanessa, long may they continue!!! And thank you as always
Oh those autumn colours and golden light were delightful. The fungi were very impressive. I've started noticing fungi since watching your vlogs. Thanks Vanessa and Zephyr ❤
Hi Vanessa.this was such scintillating entertainment from an amazing narrator and superb host.which was truly enjoyable to watch.especially your narrowboat cruising along the picturesque canal with you at the helm of your immaculate narrowboat.❤Anthony
As said a few times your a inspiration, and very brave, lovely video, beautiful colours, and information, Zephyr really happy wherever she goes as long as your by her side, love when she sniffed the toys in the pet shop , thank you, once again beautiful videos, relaxing to watch x
what a joy to travel with you and Zeph, amazing photography and autumn colours and your comments to enlighten the journey.Glad you got a very snazzy coat, couple of toffs you and Zeph..dont you look swell. Safe passage for the locks ahead. Take care.
The cherry colored Penny Ferry on the Thelwal is adorable, like something out of a children's story book and Lymm looks so impossibly quaint and eye catching. What a contrast to Manchester and the Old Trafford. Living in the cold countryside in Canada, we know very cold winters and I am sure you, Zeph and Mr M will manage fine this winter. Your new coat looks cool, sort of Carnaby- streetish and Zephr looked almost proud to sport her new coat. Hope she continues to like it! Enjoy Manchester and safe travels onward. Thanks as always and take care :) w xxxx
I can’t believe how cold it gets where you are! It must be so beautiful though too, Wendy? Thank you so much for watching. Have a super rest of the weekend. Take care 🦋🌻
@@themindfulnarrowboat it can be wondrous and beautiful in winter but of late there is less snow. It's the snow covering that makes the beauty in winter. One of the good things about winter in the countryside is that the snow does not turn brown or slushy like in the city..we are prepared for the cold with coats that are good down to -30C and below!
Amazing trip through Manchester. The city grew up around the canals and locks and put them in the basement. Wow. Good skippering on all those sharp turns and narrow canals.
Girl after my own heart...no icing shall be left behind! Watching from Manitoba Canada and the northern lights have been spectacular this summer, you will get your chance. Zeph will get used to the jacket, especially if it comes with activities she enjoys! Love your travels, thanks for bringing us along. Be well and safe.
It should be illegal to leave any icing behind shouldn’t it!🤭 How wonderful that you have seen the Northern lights🤩 Thank you so much for watching. Take care 🦋🌻
Quite the adventure, going into the big city! Glad you’re somewhat winter ready. I smiled at the size of your treat this week, glad you treated yourself 🤩
I just found your vlog and am so full of respect and appreciation for all that you do and your attitude and so much more. Your wildlife finding and recording in your journal is so inspiring. You fit so much into each day and your poems are like the icing on the top. I used to live on a converted old Edwardian Broads tour bus on the Norfolk Broads but we only did occasional travelling as we had a permanent mooring in a beautiful backwater owned by a small boatyard. I was so grateful for this mooring because I was expecting my oldest child by then. We had Kingfishers nesting in the bank opposite and a veg garden on a patch of ground near our mooring. In later years, long after the boat I spent a few years wildlife recording around the river Waveney and working with local wildlife groups, so I love all the wildlife and wildflowers you record. I hope you can keep yourselves and your boat snug and dry and warm this winter and that you find a really great winter mooring. ❤
What a beautiful story of your boat and the nature that you recorded. It sounds like you have some precious memories of that time? Thank you so much for watching. Take care 🦋🌻
An answer to your question about the Throstle Nest Bridge,i live just near there and its named after a lane that used to be round the corner in Old Trafford, also there was a pub of the same name which is long gone just like the lane.Wonderful vlog you do and the quality is stunning, look forward to watching a few more.
I’m so excited to see this. My brother-in-law lives close to this ferry and we got to ride it!! It was amazing that they continue this service. One day we hope to have a narrowboat and visit again in our own boat! Lymm was so amazingly friendly. I was looking for a souvenir of King Charles coronation (I’m American- and was on vacation). When I asked one of the shop owners if she had anything- she felt so bad that she didn’t. She started rummaging through a cabinet determined to find something for me and pulled out a small plastic Union Jack flag and a metal Big Ben statue. She wanted me to take them for free. I tried to politely refuse because I felt bad but she insisted folding my hands around them and said it would make her so happy if I had them. I still tear up with happiness remembering her and the whole experience. Things like that rarely happen nowadays. Just one example of why I love England so much. ❤
Bless you....for your sneeze😄Those autumnal colours are amazing.Love your new coat Zephr, you look a real bobby dazzler. And that peach crumble cake looked delicious, bet it was a shame when it was gone😋Thank you,as always for the wonderful blog you put together for us.Take care, lot's of love to you all... keep warm and safe.from Walter cat and Me xxx
I'm so glad you decided to stay in Manchester and I hope you enjoy it like I did. To me, Manchester is the best place in England. So vibrant with the great buildings and graffiti, the mix of old and new, I love it. Have fun. My answer to an oft asked question of " What's the best/Worst canal" my answer is the Rochdale. You will be totally bowled over at the top, but omg, get through the bottom half as quick as you can. Take care. X
I can’t wait to explore the Rochdale- what a great way of describing it! Manchester is a brilliant city to be moored in and I agree about its vibrancy. Thank you for watching. Take care 🦋🌻
As I know some of the car RUclips community I think your audience would be surprised if they knew how long it takes to edit a 20 - 30 min Video so how you find the time for everything you do is remarkable.
What a kind comment- thank you so much. I really appreciate that. 😊 They do take days to edit but what an amazing job to have! 🤩 I feel so grateful. Take care 🌻🦋
There is nothing like that golden late autumn golden light... Those locks going into Manchester were pretty amazing! Loved that! And the plaid coat and striped boots together made my day! I always love towards the end of your videos when you get out your little plate and tea mug. There is something so cozy and comforting in that. Plus, I always like to see what your treat is. Thanks for taking us along.
Wow! Never seen an Earth Star well done! Lymm looks a lovely place to visit. Now you are both kitted up for winter👍 Hope you managed to avoid storm Ashley and stay safe thank you very much x
Jangling guitars as your soundtrack for Manchester! Great choice and so appropriate. Love the quirky jacket, too! As other comments note, another great blog in which the mundane can become special and beautiful. Hope you see the Aurora soon!
Delighted to know that you also get excited to see the wonderful members of the fungi world. And thanks for giving their names as I have not seen many of them here in the Pacific Northwest of the US. Maybe they are UK-specific; regardless they are lovely.
Hi Vanessa, My book came this week. Sunday afternoon, reading sorted. I'm looking forward to when you go along the Rochdale canal. Take care & give Zephyr a rub & hug from us. 😊🎉😊.
I'm looking forward to the future Winter cruises. Those tree reflections upon the canal was amazingly beautiful. Your enthusiasm and passion in what you do is so encouraging to get get there... 🙂
The winter is full of will it/wont it freeze over? And then there are those cloudless and crisp days where everything shines brightly and freshly. Also there is lots of mud and rain but we’ll forget about that bit!😂 Thank you so much for watching. Take care 🦋🌻
Way to be positive Vanessa 😊. I am going to look for the full moon 🌝🌕🌚 rise this evening. Thanks for presenting the array of mushroom and fungi, delicate and flourishing at this time of year. Love the fact about the ferryman's cottage - so charming. Manchester rocks
We live in North Dakota in the USA where it can get Negative 50° f. We've never put a coat on our dog as their fur keeps them surprisingly warm. The biggest thing we focus on is putting coconut oil on the paws because it protects it from getting stuck on frozen ice and it's naturally antiviral as well as when the dog licks it off it won't harm the dog
Have been watching your vids for a while now and find it quite mad you just floated down the canal at the end of my road in this vid ! Glad the rain came out, it’s not visiting Manchester without it, authentic experience !
It wouldn’t have been the proper Manchester experience without the rain!😍 Thank you so much for watching. Have a super rest of the weekend. Take care 🦋🌻
Dear Vanessa and Zeph So glad to see that you have both got yourselves some sensible clothing for the cold days ahead. We are expecting snow this coming Monday and Monday night, just in time for Halloween lol. As for the Aurora Borealis, do put it onto your "bucket list" as a must see if you have not seen them. When you do get to view them I hope that they are so strong you get to hear them "crackle". Yes, sometimes they do produce a faint crackle sound a bit like Kellogg's Rice Krispies. The colours of the trees along the canal are wonderful. We to have had a gorgeous fall but sadly we are loosing the colours quickly. Vanessa, I love your close up shots of the birds and other natural things. You have become very professional with your photography. The shot of the English Robin is magnificent. Mark Alberta, Canada
Wow! I didn’t know that the Aurora Borealis crackled too. What an amazing experience that must be. Thank you for your lovely comment, Mark. Take care 🦋🌻

Your new coat and boots look pretty snappy!
Thank you so much 😊 Take care 🦋🌻
Autumn. Hands down the best season.
It is isn’t it! Thank you so much for watching. Take care 🦋🌻
Another lovely vlog! Zephyr looked like she enjoyed the shopping trip, and you both look great in your coats!
Good luck. Pete Glyde
I’m so pleased that you enjoyed it, Pete. Manchester was a wonderful experience. Have a super rest of the weekend. Take care 🦋🌻
Thank you Vanessa, truly enjoyed you and Zephyr shopping adventure ♥️
I’m so pleased that you enjoyed it. We had a wonderful day shopping. Have a super weekend. Take care 🌻🦋
For many decades I have seen winters come and I'm not a big fan of this season. The cook a lot eat a lot season. But then summer comes again and we lose that 20 lbs again. Canals in the country side and villages towns and cities how can you not enjoy that. 👌 🇨🇦 👍
It is such a different vibe isn’t it? I go into a semi hibernation almost! 😂 Thank you so much for watching. Take care 🦋🌻
Marvellous,so interesting and educational. If Andy Burnham sees this video he'll want it !
That is very kind- Thank you for watching. Take care 🦋🌻
I look forward to your weekly vlogs. So interesting, always lovely. Thank you.
I’m so pleased that you enjoy the vlogs. Thank you so much for watching them. Take care 🦋🌻
Hope you keep warm and cozy in your narrowboat this winter.
Thank you, Anthony. Take care 🌻🦋
What a clever idea, Lorraine! Thank you so much for watching. Have a super rest of the weekend. Take care 🦋🌻
Such beautiful scenery, basically everywhere you look. North... The cold 🥶 is right around the corner... Autumn and winter are special for me... A wonderful blog!😊
Hopefully there will be snow! 🥶👍 Thank you so much for watching. Have a super rest of the weekend. Take care 🦋🌻
Take care 🦋🌻
agreed, Labs have an insulating underdown coat. I mean, Labrador is a cold place with freezing water 😊
My gosh going thru the city in a narrow boat is amazing and loved it. Very skilful. Love your coats-very fashionable 😀
It was such an exciting adventure! Thank you so much for watching. Take care 🦋🌻
Thanx for another wonderful video. I love seeing the landscape from the boat. Your poetry and sketches are beautiful. I laughed at Bollin with Collin, quite clever really
I’m so pleased that you enjoyed the vlog. Colin on Bollin is a great match isn’t it!😄 Thank you for watching. Take care 🌻🦋
Thank you. I really needed your calming, mindful presence after what has been a very fraught day!!
I am sorry to hear about your day. I hope you have better days to come. Thank you so much for watching. Take care 🌻🦋
Hi Vanessa each week you bring magic to our lives ,, wonderful going into Manchester and stocking up for your first winter north it may be ok love your warm coat have a good week xxx
What a kind comment, Irene- thank you so much 😊 Take care 🌻🦋
My happy chill I/2 hour of the week!!! And a totally different vlog, but not disappointed in any way, never fail to learn something new,

Thank you so much, Mick. I’m so pleased that you enjoyed the vlog. Have a super weekend. Take care 🦋🌻
Oh those autumn colours and golden light were delightful. The fungi were very impressive. I've started noticing fungi since watching your vlogs.
Thanks Vanessa and Zephyr ❤
Fungi watching is so much fun! Thank you for your lovely comment. Take care 🦋🌻
Hi Vanessa.this was such scintillating entertainment from an amazing narrator and superb host.which was truly enjoyable to watch.especially your narrowboat cruising along the picturesque canal with you at the helm of your immaculate narrowboat.❤Anthony
Hello Anthony, I hope you are well? I haven’t heard from you in a while. Thank you so much for your lovely comment. Take care 🦋🌻

That’s a lot of support you have given your team- you must be excited about the new stadium? Thank you so much for watching. Take care 🦋🌻
Another lovely vlog Vanessa. Thank you 💚😃
Thank you so much 😊 Take care 🦋🌻
Love your new coat and Zephyr looks pleased as well. 🐾🦮
Thank you so much 😊 Take care 🌻🦋
Amazing trip through Manchester. The city grew up around the canals and locks and put them in the basement. Wow. Good skippering on all those sharp turns and narrow canals.
That is very kind of you- Thank you so much for watching. Have a super rest of the weekend. Take care 🦋🌻
What a gorges waterway, all the beautiful colours of the autumn leaves are a real feast for the eyes. 🦢🦜🌼🌻🌾
It is such a beautiful time of the year! Thank you so much for watching. Have a super rest of the weekend. Take care 🦋🌻
Beautifull mushroom indeed. Nice cruising!! I loved the last shot especially,so adorable💖💖💖💖
I’m so pleased that you enjoyed it, Esther. Thank you so much for watching. Take care 🌻🦋
Quite the adventure, going into the big city! Glad you’re somewhat winter ready. I smiled at the size of your treat this week, glad you treated yourself 🤩
It was a big cake and absolutely delicious…I could have eaten two! 🤭 Thank you so much for watching. Take care 🌻🦋
Great information- thank you so much for that. Take care 👍🦋🌻
Vanessa, we love your boots and rain mac. What a bargain, and so 60's.
Ooh- I love the 60s look! 🤩 Thank you so much for watching. Take care 🦋🌻
What a beautiful story of kindness! Lymm is really friendly isn’t it? Thank you for watching. Take care 🦋🌻
Thank you so much, Trisha and Walter Cat! Have a super weekend. Take care 🦋🌻
Getting Zeph to choose & take ownership of the coat was a good idea ✔️✔️👍☔
She was very particular that day! Thank you so much for watching. Take care 🦋🌻
@@themindfulnarrowboat she talks to you, your lucky.✔️♥️
what amazing countryside England has, great video Vanessa
There are so many beautiful parts! Thank you so much for watching. Take care 🌻🦋
That’s Something else, going through a city.
It really is exciting! Thank you so much for watching. Take care 🌻🦋
From some years I've been dreaming about making a trip round rural England. That's why I like this videos, plus they are so calm 😊❤ cheers from Spain!
I’m so pleased that you enjoy my vlogs. Thank you so much for watching. Take care 🦋🌻
As I know some of the car RUclips community I think your audience would be surprised if they knew how long it takes to edit a 20 - 30 min
Video so how you find the time for everything you do is remarkable.
Manchester is a super place to visit!🤩 Thank you so much for your kind comments. The cake was delicious 😋 Take care 🦋🌻
Wow! Never seen an Earth Star well done! Lymm looks a lovely place to visit. Now you are both kitted up for winter👍 Hope you managed to avoid storm Ashley and stay safe thank you very much x
Storm Ashley is very gusty outside at the moment. Hope you are ok too? Thank you for watching. Take care 🦋🌻
@@themindfulnarrowboat yes it was quite blowy here in South Yorkshire too, I'm doing well thank you xx
Jangling guitars as your soundtrack for Manchester! Great choice and so appropriate. Love the quirky jacket, too! As other comments note, another great blog in which the mundane can become special and beautiful. Hope you see the Aurora soon!
So much great music has come out of Manchester hasn’t it!🤩 Thank you so much for watching. Take care 🦋🌻
Delighted to know that you also get excited to see the wonderful members of the fungi world. And thanks for giving their names as I have not seen many of them here in the Pacific Northwest of the US. Maybe they are UK-specific; regardless they are lovely.
Fungi fascinate me! 🤩 Thank you so much for watching. Have a super week. Take care 🦋🌻
Glad you seem to enjoy Manchester, lovely vlog again. Thank you.
Manchester is wonderful! Thank you so much for your lovely comment. Take care 🌻🦋
Hi Vanessa, My book came this week. Sunday afternoon, reading sorted. I'm looking forward to when you go along the Rochdale canal.
Take care & give Zephyr a rub & hug from us. 😊🎉😊.
I’m so pleased that you have got your book. Thank you so much for buying it. Take care 🦋🌻
21:15 bless you
Thank you! ☺️ Take care 🌻🦋
Cracking vlog Vanessa, I see zephyr and yourself as the height of fashion in your new coats, have a great weekend and stay safe 🙏 .
What a kind comment! I think Zephyr wants my coat as it looks more like a duvet! 😂🐾🐾 Thank you so much for watching. Take care 🦋🌻
Another enjoyable vlog, amazing colours, and you did make me chuckle when you said Colin on Bollin!
Colin is made for that job isn’t he? 😄 Thank you so much for your lovely comment. Take care 🦋🌻
Great video!! Love the new coats you and Zeph got!
Thank you so much 😊 Take care 🦋🌻
Way to be positive Vanessa 😊. I am going to look for the full moon 🌝🌕🌚 rise this evening. Thanks for presenting the array of mushroom and fungi, delicate and flourishing at this time of year. Love the fact about the ferryman's cottage - so charming. Manchester rocks
I will moon watch now too! Just need a clear sky. Thank you for watching. Take care 🌻🦋
That sketch book is amazing😍😍😍
Thank you so much 😊 Take care 🌻🦋
Lol I've lived in the northeast all my life I promise you the winter where you end up won't be as bad as your anticipating you will be fine 😅
I’m really looking forward to it! Thank you so much for watching. Have a super rest of the weekend. Take care 🦋🌻
Zephyr won’t let anyone touch her paws but that coconut oil trick sounds super! Thank you for watching. Take care 🦋🌻
I love your doggies coat.
She sort of likes it too!😂🐾🐾Thank you so much for watching. Take care 🦋🌻
Have been watching your vids for a while now and find it quite mad you just floated down the canal at the end of my road in this vid ! Glad the rain came out, it’s not visiting Manchester without it, authentic experience !
I love Manchester and the rain was part of the experience 😍 Thank you so much for watching. Take care 🦋🌻
*starts to rain* Yep, that's Manchester.
It wouldn’t have been the proper Manchester experience without the rain!😍 Thank you so much for watching. Have a super rest of the weekend. Take care 🦋🌻
I love the poem this time even more than usual. It would make a great song! 🎶
I’m so pleased that you liked it, Ann! Thank you so much 😊 Take care 🦋🌻
Dear Vanessa and Zeph
So glad to see that you have both got yourselves some sensible clothing for the cold days ahead.

Wow! I didn’t know that the Aurora Borealis crackled too. What an amazing experience that must be. Thank you for your lovely comment, Mark. Take care 🦋🌻
