Considering this to change a light fixture above an open curved stair case to second floor. Approx 18 ft high. I’d have to set up on the stairs somehow and up and over the top railing but honestly I may just have to build out a platform with point loads on stairs to securely set a step ladder on top.
All the demos I have seen are on straight stairs with landings. My stairs have a light curve from 1st to 2nd floor with no landings. Stair treads are narrow on one end and wider at the other.
That’s what I want to get from Lowe’s 😊

True, very true. The wheels are also a handy addition. It helps out a lot when you have a tool bag in the other hand and you are moving around.
Im about to pull the trigger on this ladder but im not sure which size to get i.e 18/22/26. Im confused by the description for the fully extended ladder as 18/22/26 foot ladder position (assuming a 5 foot 6 inch person with a vertical 12 inch reach.) How tall is the ladder fully extened? Is it 18 feet or (18 feet - 5 foot 6 person with a 12 inch reach)
Ok, sometimes ladder heights can be confusing, but hopefully this will help.
The smallest size Leveler, in the TALLEST A-frame position, means you're able to stand at almost 5 feet (leaves the two highest rungs for support - not for standing on) which means if someone is 5'6" tall, they're actually able to reach about 11 feet up. BUT, if you're in extension, this shortest size gets you about 18 feet reach (hence the model size 18)
The middle size leveler, would give you 2 more feet reach in the highest A-frame position (so 13 feet reach), and 4 more feet when you've made it the biggest extension size (22 feet reach, hence the model size 22)
The tallest leveler, would give you another 2 more feet in the highest A-frame (15 foot reach) and another 4 more feet in the biggest extension size. (26 foot reach, hence the model size 26).

What is the hight when full extended in the a frame position?
In A-frame, when the Model 17 it's fully extended it's 7'6" tall. The highest STANDING LEVEL at that biggest size is 4'10". That gives a max reach of ~11'4". Please let me know if you have any other questions
Thanks for that info. I was trying to decide between a ten foot step ladder and this little giant, and decided to stick with the step ladder as the little giant barely gives the same reach as a six foot ladder.
Hello Little Giant team, I am about to purchase the 22 FT ladder with leverers, but I have a question, can those leverers be lubricated? What if the leverers mechanism stop working because of use, can that be replaced?.
Yes! You can and we do recommend using a dry-lube on any moving parts or parts where metal slides. I would also suggest calling our customer service line (1-800-453-1192) to ask the question about levelers stopping from working. When properly taken care of and cleaned out if they happened to get dirty, I would expect the levelers to continue working for the entire life of the ladder.

I just fell from about 12-14 foot from this ladder. Broke my back and talus. Make sure the feet are good. If the rubber ain’t right don’t go up.
I'm sorry to hear that! It is vitally important to set up at the correct angle to prevent a ladder from slipping out. And definitely follow your advice that if the feet have been damaged they should get replaced! I hope your recovery is quick.

@@bench175 well if you use the ladder on concrete everyday. Like actually work. You know not just ummm have one in the garage. Rubber wears out. It’s not meant to last forever. The rubber shoes on the orange feet of the ladder rubs against the concrete and wears out. Because I use mine for work. So the one sitting the garage you bust out to hang lights will never have that problem
