    For anyone who thinks, just because you weigh 185 lbs. you don't need a 300+ rated ladder, you're no longer 185 lbs. as soon as you pick up that pail of bricks or AC unit or whatever else you're carrying up the ladder. You're now 285...

    • @alec4672

      @@lextheelectrician not to mention the AC or that transformer is a dead load. We all know not to jump on a ladder but when you set that thing down real fast on the top rung cause you're tired that inertia is a lot of sudden weight for a second. A 100lb something can impart way more than 100lbs of force on something for a split second if it's getting set down hard enough.

      @@Dezeberbro it's not about being scared it's about being smart. I'll trust a name brand ladder like Little Giant over some knock off any day and that's what you're paying for. I know for a fact they're tested to at least double their rating. You can cheap out sometimes like a big 2" wrench that I use twice a year from harbor freight, but a ladder? No way, I know a guy that's paralyzed from a faulty ladder, I won't let that happen to myself or anyone working with me no chance.

    We have 24ft and 28ft ladders with a v rung and strand clamp. The 28ft ladder is lighter the our 24ft Werner ladders. The weight savings is such a relief when having to put it up on multiple telephone poles, especially when having to carry it up hills and the back of peoples yards.good ladders, definitely recommend.

    I have the 5 foot king combo and the little two foot one with the platform. Had them about two years now. They’re great so far. I usually hang all my drills or nail guns on them around the top on the sides. Usually I’m carrying something in one hand and trying to move the 5 footer, loaded with drills with one foot and one hand and it’s not too heavy 😊

    I was spoiled in my younger years working for an outfit that had lots of ladders to choose from. My particular favorites were the 3 legged 4 and 6 footers. I know a lot of places they aren't allowed but dang if you can't get them into some tight areas and they are great even on unlevel ground. I think the thing I miss about them most is the one handed opening and closing. There's several you showed that definitely got the details right. Nice collection and video. :)

    We used little giant epic ladders in construction. The one that extend A frame and turn into an extension ladder. I trust my life to one of them as they were incredible. We could have multiple guys on the same ladder to get the job done and it never felt like it was unstable or anything. I purchased the same ladder type but different brand for my personal use and don’t regret it at all.

    I use a Little Giant Safety Step (i have the 3 step, they make 2-3-4 step) I swear by that thing. The treads are like stair steps not like ladder treads. It folds flat, has a tool tray/parts holder attached to the foldable hand rail that is very useful for projects and painting and can be folded out of the way if you just need it for a stable stair step. I mainly use it for getting in and out of my camper.

    Be safe and always use the right side ladder for the job. Being on a ladder too short can cause you to loose your balance. A trip to the trauma center in a helicopter is not the way you want to leave a job site with your tools unsecured and van open for a few days while in the hospital.

When a step would break boss said to place it in front of one our tracter trailers and let them break every step. Boss it was a lot 4:34 cheaper to replace some ladders then having OSHA fine you for bad ladders.

    • @LittleGiantLadders
      @LittleGiantLadders 7 месяцев назад +1

      Part of our testing is UV testing, and we simulate our fiberglass rails in that environment. We do provide a warranty on fiberglass ladders for a year, but proper care of fiberglass ladders will let you use it for many years. The kind of damage you're talking about is usually from people who leave their ladders out on a truck, exposed to the elements, from rain, snow, sun, and that will start causing fiber bloom. I personally have a fiberglass ladder at my house and it has zero signs of any sort of wear, and I've owned it for 5 years.

    The only product I have ever gotten from little giant that I hated was the dark horse 1.0 in fiberglass, my company ordered them for every van. This had to have been someone who has never worked in the field because that ladder weighs a ton and anyone who has worked in the field would have immediately been like nope I'm not dragging that ladder across a store, it is heavier than my 32' extension ladder functionally it works great as long as I don't throw my back out trying to get it back on top of my van. It is bad enough that they started replacing them because guys where doing dumb shit and getting hurt to avoid getting the ladder because its so hard to load and unload it from a roof rack. The newer ones are a lot better (still heavy but better) and the aluminum ones are great. These look great and I have the aluminum one she just showed its great, 375lb weight cap, light as a feather, and solid as a rock with my 200lb ass on it.

    Amazon requires you to identify affiliate links as such.
    While I'm not sure about the legal requirements, good practice and trustworthiness requires you to call out when a manufacturer has provided products for review for free. And doubly so if it is a sponsored (paid) review. I don't know exactly what is going on here but it seems implied by the way the pallet is talked about that they were given. Maybe they were purchased but it does not seem that way and the ambiguity is sketchy.
