Do you think this could be more durable if using a 2K clearcoat for the glue? Would the flock stick to the clearcoat? How is the durability decent?

I think it was to cold. Flocking should be done in around 21 Degree Celsius and at 65% humidity. Also important is the adhesive. If it is waterbased it dries too fast on this big part. The thickness of the adhesive layer should be (dried) 10% of the fibre length. This guarantees a better anchoring of the fibres.
we've done a full race season and still is like brand-new. I've been very happy with the results

Best thing to do is look on eBay and buy yourself a kit will come with the correct size job you need for doing a dashboard
We have the same system... My lad has used it with mixed results......
