Miley Cyrus' voice cannot replicate the enveloping magic of the original song. And her guitarist...he can't create anywhere near the magical music that Dave did.
Her voice is truly stunning and unique. I think she was used as a mainstream front runner but she is so much more than that. She is velvet and wine, she is sultry and she is raw. Her voice is somwthing else.
The key part was songs *I love*. I never had a deep emotional attachment to the original by Dolly that would have set that song in my brain as "this is how this song is supposed to sound".
