I am 23 years old and still to this day nothing compares to the feeling that Hannah Montana gives me, the songs, the tv show and the movie all comfort me through the adult struggles we all face in life. Miley Cyrus gave our generation the best childhood and nostalgia that we are all still so grateful for and I will forever hold that in my heart ❤

The fact that she acknowledged that she loved Hannah until the end REALLY gives me closure as a fan of Miley Cyrus as a kid/teenage.

Whatever happened on 2013, whatever she made in the past, it was her trying to be her own person... I see you Miley, thank you for reminding me you're so much more than my childhood. You're the reason I sing and follow upon musical arts.
I’m her age. I’m 31 now. And for whatever happened in 2013 made me feel that she didn’t like the show as much as we did. This speech is really a meaningful towards the fact that she IS proud of the show and her character. Cuz we didn’t just love the show/Hananh but also her.

@@milouiscoollol they uploaded the full version now. It was about the ‘disney factory’, Bob Iger, and when she tried to shed the Disney image. Lol they let her speak and can’t take a little heat. Why Miley even bothers to accept it is beyond me.
So incredibly proud of her. She's breaking records since she was a kid. She's the youngest person in history to have #1 album on Billboard at just 13 years old! She made for Disney 2 billion dollars with her show, movie, albums and tours. She's legend.

They cut out the part where Miley talks about the conspiracy about how Disney kids are made in labs and she says it's not true but "if I was created in a lab there must have been a bug in the system that caused me to malfunction somewhere between the years of 2013-2016... sorry Mickey" why would Disney still be trying to sensor her....
because it's Disney a family friendly brand. They don't want to bring attention to her Bangerz era. It was a you had to be there moment otherwise don't google it if you don't know Miley from 2013-2016.
They also cut out the joke about her and Bob Iger being hired in the same year, but I guess that flowed into the next joke which is why they cut that too.

I’m 31 and this made me feel like I’m 13 again when HM debuted. Miley being the youngest Disney Legend recipient is just unbelievable. I love her speech except for not mentioning her dad. I mean their relationship is one reason the show was awesome!

I’m so glad they’re finally giving Miley her flowers. The network didn’t make her, she made them. They just got lucky they casted the right person at the right time.
After hannah, I feel like they chewed her up and spit her out after working her to the bone as if she wasnt a child.
And dismissing her bc she rebelled against the Disney persona, having to individualize herself, separate from Disney.
Seems like they’re finally acknowledging and giving her the praise she’s deserved for so long

Im 22 years old Hannah Montana was all I wanted to be. I absolutely loved it and still do to this day. Hannah Montana was my "escape" I remember my little 8 year old self putting on little at home concerts. This was a little girls dream. I still have my hannah montana blanket and I love it

People often miss this quality because they are too focused on her negative media narrative and dismiss her!
