7:14 was hilarious. he spits out about 5 portals in less than 5 seconds, beats the puzzle by launching the cube onto the button, and finishes the level before glados finishes saying "this next test could take a very, verrry, long time."
This was a constant stream of amazement, laughter, and audible "what the fuck!" moments for me. I couldn't imagine it getting better than the radio at the start, but it just kept going. I couldn't stop laughing at the chamber you referenced!
That was awesome! I like how this run is complicated yet understandable, unlike the runs that consist of shooting portals into a black void for five minutes.
@@HuffGLaDTem This is one of the few levels where the elevator doesn't move early if you get in. If he entered the elevator right away, it would have just stayed put until she finished talking. So he actually didn't gain any extra time for that.

Noah G When they got into glados' chamber, instead of standing there for 30 seconds, they mimicked the standard inbounds single segment speedrun route, where a turret shoots off all the cores and you can pick them all up before glados finishes her dialogue. Obviously the cores aren't there yet, but it's a nice touch. Starts at 12:56. You can see them look into the first portal they place and look at the ground next to it, as if picking up an imaginary core through the portal and placing it on the ground. This is what you do in an Inbounds speedrun, except the core is actually there. They also take the second core out of midair (where it lands) and the third from the top platform and place them on the ground too. At 13:13 they also shoot below where all the imaginary cores that they have placed, before they shoot below the first core that actually falls. This is how you do it in a single segment run - put all the cores in the incinerator in one button press.
"You euthanized your companion cube more quickly than any test subject on record." Yeah, no kidding. "Remember when the platform was sliding into the fire?" Nope, that never happened.
Finally! A Portal speedrun with no cheating! Now this is something I can get behind. And then, if you stay in front of the portal, the turret will try to shoot you and will hit both you and Glados, making her drop the cores way before she says "Well, you found me. Congratulations"
