Your videos are like a breath of fresh air. I love your channel. I understand how difficult it is to make such a video, so I really appreciate it. Respect.
Thanks Frevrix 😃🙏 The Arturia's sequencers are indeed very fun and quick to play with! (I have more powerful hardware sequencers like the Hapax, but it's not always as immediate 😊)
Thanks Jon, so happy you liked it! 🤗 I wish there was an easy way to choose to display the notes or not as I'm always trying to make demos of my synths and effects in a musical way (hoping that non musicians could listen too 😊).
Merci ! A 100% d'accord !
As someone who is just starting in the world of synths I really appreciate how you explained the process behind it. Really loved the video and the music.
Thanks for your feedback Sigmund Freund, really appreciated! 😃 And welcome to the endless world of synths! 😅 (feel free to ask if I can be of any help!)
@@2MinuteWarning I am actually coming back to your comment to ask if you would recommend the keystep pro (or beatstep pro) as a sequencer? I am planning on combining multiple synths for a techno liveset and am looking for a sequencer. I am not that familiar with a traditional keyboard setup, thats why I looked up the oxi one, but its a bit expensive.
@@sigismundfreund I have both the Keystep Pro (KSP) and the Beatstep Pro (BSP). However, since I have the KSP, I've stopped using the BSP. It is not very easy to answer to your question as it really depends on your needs and how you want to perform your set (how many synths do you want to sequence? how many drum machines? do you want to use MIDI or CV/Gate, do you want to sequence chords?...) For instance, with the BSP you only have 1 drum track and 2 mono melodic tracks (so no sequencing of chords here). Whereas with the KSP, you have 4 melodic tracks where Track 1 can be set to either act as a drum track or a melodic track. You can sequence chords with up to 16 notes per step.
@@2MinuteWarning thats a good advice, thank you. I looked into some aspects but I didnt think of the MIDI and CV differentiation. Luckily I currently have a Behringer Crave and Edge instead of the Moog originals. This way I have both options. Also I believe the oxi can potentially send MIDI and CV. Well I guess those are some problems I have to look into now :) Thank you again and keep doing the beautiful music. I love to play it in the background and also learn from the comments in the videos
Thanks MaYashi! 😊 Have you had your Drumbrute Impact for a long time? The knobs of my DBI have become very sticky with time though I didn't use them much 🤨 (and I keep the DBI in a drawer when not in use!)
Thanks for your quick reply 👍 Lucky you 😃 I've read that it is an issue that is known for the DBI (I also have the problem with the buttons of my Digitone, which is a known one too. It's the material some manufacturers use 🫤). I think I have both for nearly 4 years now...
Hey thanks mate! 😃 Did you want to replace your KSP with something else? The KSP has its limits (only 4 tracks, no sequencing of pitchbends etc., but for me it really is a cool, versatile and ergonomic sequencer 😉)
@ it was an excellent piece that saved me so much hassle but: A) I’m not much of a keyboard player so having the whole thing laid out is kind of a waste of space. B) all the buttons I want to be pressing on there are tiny while the stuff that I don’t mess with much are taking up the bulk of the space. C) I use it primarily for eurorack and I recently went back to sequencing with my Novation Mono Station and it’s much more enjoyable. D) I kind of want to be able to do everything within the eurorack just for simplification purposes.
@@BounceChord Thanks for your detailed reply! These are good reasons to change indeed 😊 (there are some very cool eurorack sequencers, but they are generally more expensive than the KSP 😅).
