I would love to audition and this has been my dream, because I have been told by my friends that they really like my charisma when I sing or dance and the way I carry myself but the main problem is that my dad doesn't approve idk what to do but all I know is that I have to fight for my dreams. @@amberbritney1661 I totally understand you that's why I am self training self in both singing and dancing so I know my strong points and weak points , you can always audition online , since you are turning thirteen it will be hard to convince your parents to let you go , my advice is don't give up hope and I am sure if you are serious about being an idol then keep practicing your vocals and dance
From what I've seen, being a trainee is difficult and the company practically owns you. That being said, I think they produce the best entertainment (as far as music goes). American stuff doesn't even compare. Sure, we have some good music, but the Korean companies bring the dancing and visuals to a whole new level, at least for me personally.
Charlene Renée it’s definitely hard work and a lot of tenacity through training. But I agree on the part where you don’t get a lot of freedom and you will be kind of mannequin like where they sculpt u to be what the company wants

I keep telling people in my dance classes (who keep wanting me to go audition for companies) that since I'm in my late twenties I'm way too old for them to even considered. But people keep saying that you never know what could happen, so you should go audition anyway. I'm doing an audition for fun in about 2 weeks, but honestly I feel like it's very much more realistic to know that even though late 20s is not old, in the industry it's considered too old to be a kpop idol. I'm glad you told the truth about it, because I see too many RUclipsrs saying that your age doesn't matter at all. I know a lot of the castings that take place in the USA say that age doesn't matter, because of anti-discrimination laws. However, while they can't discriminate against you for auditioning, when they make their selections they can easily decide not to pick you due to your age, and then if anyone asks just chalk it up to the fact that they didn't like something about your look, skills, etc. Thank you for making a realistic informative video. It's nice to know that I'm not completely insane by saying that my age is something that they would not like. 🤣💚
It's the sad truth but miracles can happen, who knows maybe some director thinks that you can be a solo star and half of year of training and BAMM you become an idol.Anything is possible XD It all takes luck and talent. But 25 and up is REALLY very hard.

Here are some tips I got from another youtuber: 1. If youre not Korean, do not try a Korean song, stick with the language ur comfortable in 2. In general, do not try to go out of ur comfort zone. Dont try high notes if you cant reach them. The company will focus more on where you messed up than on ur voice. So choose a song ur comfortable with 3. Dont choose a song from the company. So if ur audition for sy JYP, dont do a twice song or anything 4. For dancing, DO NOT try a popular song like Kill This Love, the company will think ur simply a kpop stan wanting to meet idols.

I listened that if you want to become a kpop idol you should sign contract but if you are under 18 your parents will contract it
And I'm under 18 and I'm living with my aunt i don't have any understanding with my parents
Is my aunt or uncle can contract ?

Mmmm.. I think a guardian is okay ! Yes if you are under 18 you need an adult (anyone from your family line) to help you with the legal matters!

I had prepared to apply for Mnet's CapTeen. It was the deadline date and I had fully prepared my audition, my mum knew what I was doing but only decided to tell me that I couldn't audition when I was submitting my form. 😡

@@priyankarawal5705 the concept was made and choose by the company. What you should do is to show your versatality but if you lean more into badass or cute be sure that you give justice to the concept but I highly recommend that you should do both because they mostly look for versatile trainess
If we selected in kpop trainee they pay for flight ticket OK. But what about passport and visa.
