- Hey everyone! Sorry for the long wait. Ive been working on this bad boy Barry the female brown bear for the last little bit. Its the biggest drawing I've done so far, and one of my most time consuming. I did use the scratching technique to do this as well for the fine fur details. This whole piece is done with just pencil and measures 30”x40” on paper. I hope you all like this one! Its definitely one of my favourites now. More info will be bellow.

I have watched your how-to and I went to Lisando's channel and watched his tutorials as well.
The work put in is phenomenal and the time it takes is genuine for anyone who doubts it. It isn't just bringing the picture to life, there is all the preparation work: selecting images, griding the paper, setting up cameras, selecting the media and all supplies. Then there is the first stroke of pencil to paper; it can take more than 12 hours just to get to that point.

I do a similar type of art on dark lexan with a diamond tiped scribe and fill in the etch with white acrylic. I was wondering how you did the individual hairs so cleanly. Then I noticed that in the beginning of the video you scratched them on so you could just shade and erase the rest of the hairs. I’m sure it took a LONG time but it is REALLY, REALLY cool. Keep this up. You have some awesome God-given talent.

What is the instrument you use to draw hairs white against the dark tones you put down? Also, what is the drawing surface you're using? Is it Bristol board? Please let me know. Thank you very much for sharing your brilliant work.
David J. Torrellas he is using a mouldable eraser, qtips, as well as electric erasers with fine tips (either he bought the fine tips or made the tips fine himself)... also, slow the video’s playback speed way down and you can see the tools he used.
