Greetings from the year 2019. At 2:15:00 DSP is correct, that is meant to be the same lab area from RE2 and other media. Now when I played this game I figured that they were all similar looking areas but not exactly the same specific Lab Lift area. I'm not sure if they did it for throwback points or just because they wanted to do weird stuff, but the Geography of the Arklay Mountains and Raccoon City kinda gets warped here for a second. The Umbrella training facility/Lab (RE0) which is a considerable distance away from the Spencer Estate (RE1) as shown by the ending somehow links up with the Raccoon City Underground Lab (called NEST now in RE2's remake). I guess now we know they're reasonably close because of a tram ride but my understanding was that the Arklay Mountains were a couple miles out from town, given how they needed Helicopters to reach the location. I know it's RE though so trying to make sense of it probably wouldn't go too well. Just wanted to point out that that tool tip is wrong, I apologize for it. A good tip for anyone who plays this game at some point - don't carry ink ribbons around. Seriously, don't. I know it's tempting, but every typewriter in the game has a few ink ribbons by it - you can pick them up, save, then leave the rest there for the next time you have to use it, because the next save point you find will have more ribbons by it. You shouldn't be using the same save point more than once or twice anyway, so this trick saves you a valuable inventory slot (and hell, the ribbons found outside save rooms will still be there if you really need them).

I actually started playing the Resident Evil games for the first time this year, after a bunch of my friends begged me to try it out. So I plan to play all of the games in release order, from the original RE director's cut, all the way to RE7, and so far, I just finished playing RE0 this week. These TIHYDP Resident Evil series are super fun to watch, and every time I finish an RE game, I watch how DSP plays it just so I can compare how we both performed, and not to toot my own horn or anything, but I've been playing the games with fewer frustration, and I certainly don't complain as much as DSP does. Thanks for this :D
This is one good thing about DSP - when he sucks so horrendously at games, it encourages people to play those (oftentimes really good) games just to prove that, yeah, DSP sucked and the game isn't too bad. Replaying the MGS series for the first time in aaages thanks to DerpShitPhail. XD

@@1989Ezal That's not much of a thing. XD The issue with DSP isn't that he doesn't know what's coming - it's that he doesn't have the reasoning skills to figure out how you're supposed to play a game in the first place. Like, for example, I'm playing Octopath Traveller atm, just cleaning up the last few Steam achievements. Up until the end of chapter 2 you could mostly do the same things you had been doing until then, but as you go further on things get so hard that you learn you need to shift from a "just go hard and ham" on your enemies, into "set up with 1-2 characters, then unload with those 1-2 and the other 2-3 hardcore supporting". DSP wouldn't learn this - he'd keep trying to do the chapter 1-2 strats and blame the game when it isn't working. Does he not know what a manual is or what or how it's function is? I genuinely think that Phil's so stupid, he doesn't know what a manual is or what it does. There's no way he's playing that off with his own stupidity. It's genuine stupidity and lack of talent, quality, and skill. No way he's acting. He's just having stream hold his disgusting pigroach hands. He doesn't know how to play. But if he did know how to play, these TIHYDP's wouldn't be as fun or as funny to watch.
Thank you so much for making and sharing this, Mr. Outsyder! The time and care of editing it is really appreciated. I know I always get kwhality kahntent when you make a new video. So thank you and ALL EMPLOYEES!
There's only one thing though - I can't watching this on anything but a desktop. No mobilephone, no Vita. It just says the video is unavailable. This isn't a setting you've done, right? :/
20:20 I cannot believe he wasted all of that ammo when he could have just ran by because you NEVER have to go back to that room ever again! What a moron! And that wasn't the only time he did that!
I'm a big RE fan, and in his defence i got to admit RE Zero on hard does NOT fuck around, it is harder than the rest of the series. When it launched back on the Gamecube i also played on hard, it was brutal. The monkeys and the leech guys are annoying, and the enemies do tank bullets hard. The whole inventory system with being able to drop items on the floor seems handy at first but you soon realize it's a pain in the ass and becomes very tedious. A good tip to conserve ammo and herbs, after each save, just go on a rampage, and rush through the next couple of rooms, then when you find out what each room holds for items or key items, plan a good strategy, reload your save, and decide what to pick up and leave, and decide what enemies you can rush and dodge past and which ones you should kill. If you just go in killing fuck all and getting combo hit (the monkeys do this a lot) you will lose too much ammo and healing items and get into trouble quickly.
Ah the classic phil. Back before the chat, before the handholding. By comparison this is actually entertaining vs his current model of "rant about finances and then spend 20 minutes silently playing the game."
*Phil does something and gets killed* "That's bullshit" *Does the same thing again and gets killed* "This is bullshit, its the same thing that happened last time!" I wonder why that is...
Yes! Thank you so much for this video! I love it! I was kinda sad that you didn't do a TIHYDP on RE0 before, but now, everything is cool! Thank you again for your awesome video. :)
59:37 "Wow! Phil is actually starting to make a joke. A REAL joke! He's pretending to be a character for a joke!" 59:56 Aaaand he blew it... So close...
He's done this at times. I remember during his Arkham Knight playthrough, he made a joke about Batman listening to the top 40 while he's flying around, and goes on a tangent about all R. Kelly songs being about sex, and just ruined it.
I remember watching the whole playthrough. Terrible decision. Btw, the Tyrant boss fight area is actually the same area as in RE2. If you compare the control room of RE0 and RE2 you'll notice that every detail is identical. Noboru Sugimura, who was the writer for RE0, decided very late in development that he wanted the underground lab and the marshyalling yard to appear in the game, hence why it dosen't add up why this place appears in the middle of the Arklay Mountains. Lazy writing.
Really? Never knew that. FFS that is shitty writing, it doesn't even make sense in the context of the game. I guess since we don't have a true map of Raccoon City and the surrounding Arklay Mountains we won't get to truly confirm and see for ourselves. That's so dumb. Sounds like he just wanted to reuse assets or areas instead of making his own new ones -_____-
Yeah, it wasn't the smartest of ideas they had. Strange to think that Leon/Claire and the Outbreak cast were just one elevator ride away from the Training Facility, which blew up in the end of RE0...it really dosen't add up at all.
hence why it's so dumb. Damn, I really gotta digest this, you'd think that if it was that close to the city, given how the entire facility literally eviscerated itself, the public should/would have heard about it. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they have or will retcon/ignore the whole concept. RE2make is coming soon so hopefully it will be addressed. It's sloppy, I'm also hoping it's a lost in translation type of a deal. Like maybe umbrella designs all of their lab shafts similarly like how they design their Buildings to be mansions that are all eerily similar and creepy.
Over the years many people actually discussed this topic. I was surprised to see how many people noticed that it dosen't add up. Someone actually compared each background of the area (RE0 vs RE2) and details like helmets on the wall inside the control room were exactly the same. Sadly I can't find the collection of photos right now.
Why on earth didn't you make a counter, for the amount of times he cries like a baby, about it being on hardmode? I really want to know, how many times he did so.
I knew about DSP for a long time, but it was a suffer to watch his full playtroughs. But now, when i found out this highlights chanel, i got so addicted to his playtroughs(it's fucking hilarious!). Thank you verry much 0utsyder)
It's actually pretty shocking to hear at the end of this video how DSP says how much he enjoyed the game, after listening to 3 hours of straight whining.
All the people's comments in this video are wrong. There really is auto aim on Hard, it just doesn't lock on to your enemy and track them. People shouldn't assume just because it's on Hard, there's no auto aim. They should actually play the game on Hard themselves before acting like what they say is fact. But the thing that I found funny is half the stuff he's complaining about has nothing to do with the game being set on Hard. I'm playing it on Hard for my first time too, and yes, it is challenging, but I'm still managing just fine. For someone who's played pretty every classic Resident Evil, Phil really shouldn't be complaining so much.
Really? Playing on Hard in RE isn't worth it? Yeah; I tried playing RE2; on N64 as a kid on Normal; and it infuriated me. Not worth it. I did try RE4 on the hardest difficulty because it's my favorite RE game; and RE2 was my very first RE game; because we couldn't afford a PS1 and RE1 wasn't available on the N64; which me and my family could only rent; not actually buy games. So we not only had to rent games; but complete them in a week or less; because of the renting fee crap. Hated that. But; I remember seeing how scary the cover of RE2 looked; with the eye; and the creepy hand; and I wanted to play it; but being a 5 year old kid; i knew I couldn't; and shouldn't. But I eventually did; and managed to get to the R.P.D. Police Station by myself; as Leon without dying. And meeting Marvin. But I had to ask my Dad for help because of the Licker. And the rest of the game too. But he was really good as Leon; and knew what he was doing; despite having never played an RE game before. But now that he lives somewhere else; I have to complete games on my own; but because I mainly do them for fun; I don't play them for difficulty. I still love RE4 though; and I'm glad the remake of 4 does things well. But I wish it were on the Switch though...although I'm not complaining about the RE4 port on Switch though; because it's just as great as I remember it being on GameCube/PS2/Wii. Sorry for rambling; but whenever I get into talking about RE2/4; I just start bringing up both games because Leon's my favorite RE protagonist; and RE2/4 are my 2 favorite RE games; because Leon is cooler than Chris(in my opinion). Not that Chris isn't cool; it's just that; the things Leon does in Raccoon City and later games he shows up in make him a better protagonist than Chris; but don't get me wrong; Chris is awesome too; I just think Leon's better. And me and my Dad did complete RE2 with both Leon and Claire(and yes; I know; Claire's Chris's sister; I didn't forget to mention that). And I like Claire too; and I'm glad she comes back for Code: Veronica; and Revelations 2. Oh; sorry I rambled this long. I just love RE as a whole. But 2 and 4 or any Re Game with Leon in it; honestly.
Phil got trolled. The only RE game with weird difficulties like that is REmake, and they go back to being clear difficulties after you beat the game once. Speaking of which I wanna see him play Madhouse in RE7.
I did a Madhouse playthrough without unlocks (no Saw, Albert, etc) and it wasn't too bad if you're patient and you plan out your encounters. Aside from the Crawlers. Fuck those things. But anyway, unfortunately those are two things Phil doesn't do.
What's the deal with all those guys saying that Hard Mode does not have auto-aim??Hard mode DOES have auto-aim LOL!Phil just sucks at aiming, the auto-aim system is there.Unless the original gamecube version removes the auto-aim on hard mode, I really can't explain where they got the idea that auto-aim gets removed.Original RE1 was the only game where you had to manually aim.Ever since RE2, there is an auto-aim system that works on every difficulty(unless you set the aiming system to manual yourself)
1:34:00 Honestly I'm rooting for Chloe more than Phil. Does she quit the series? Will she learn she deserves better than this? Does DSP ever learn that the door trick reset the zombie health, further kneecapping himself? Does Chloe?? What is she doing now? Does she sometimes remember the door opening sequence out of nowhere? Is it a trigger for her by now??? The world may never know... Edit: Chloe stuck it out till the end...wow. I hope she's watching better players now.
This is never getting old. Phil suffering in survival horror games where he cannot rely on handholding, backseatgaming or sneakily dumbing down the difficulty (like with The Evil Withing), is the best™ khantent™. "You know what I mean?"
4445678 45685u8 The insanity of Spencer owned estates is joked about in the series on a few occasions. Police station in RE2 as well. The games recognized the bizarreness of it all. Not sure what horroe games you played that had keyes like that. I remember Silent Hill being majority keys, with an odd key item here and there.

I love the sped up parts where he's going in and out of doors and you can hear him panic when enemies spawn too close to him
Very well put together. I loved the sound additions, like Phil replying to voice clips of himself.
AH AH AH AH AH
He laughs in reverse
The best classic RE game right up there with 2, there's a reason they gave this a remake. This guys reactions are hilarious bawbasoup mentioned how hard it is for new players esp on max difficulty, I beat it but in a lower difficulty, respect to this guy for going for it
"Well... guess what... In-kribbons"
*Looks at manual*
"What the hells this?"
This is my favorite TIHYDP by far; the editing is simply superb. I love it.
I love how he treats simple enemies as bosses. Does he seriously not know you don't have to kill them?
90% of this playthrough is Phil running in and out of doors to avoid every encounter 😂😂😂 Hilarious
kwality kahntent
@@gatesofhades534 Tried to dadge, didnt work
Thank you so much for making and sharing this, Mr. Outsyder! The time and care of editing it is really appreciated. I know I always get kwhality kahntent when you make a new video. So thank you and ALL EMPLOYEES!
You're more than welcome man, no sweat! :)
There's only one thing though - I can't watching this on anything but a desktop. No mobilephone, no Vita. It just says the video is unavailable. This isn't a setting you've done, right? :/
No, copyright has forced the video to be viewable only on desktop. Sorry man :(
Oh. That's unfortunate. :( But thank you for the quick reply.
1:24:42 thank you trolls for making him playthrough this on hard
DSP GOES TO OFFICE DEPOT AND ASKS THE TELLER "DO YOU HAVE ANY "INK RIBBONS"" XD
"God, this auto aim is shit!"
-Phil, shooting himself in the leg at boot camp
20:20 I cannot believe he wasted all of that ammo when he could have just ran by because you NEVER have to go back to that room ever again! What a moron! And that wasn't the only time he did that!
omg i love how he gets bit by nearly every damn zombie try mashing buttons to shake it off lmao
after 6 years
Fine I will pick hard
I never knew how enjoyable it was to combine who let the dogs out with the dog zombies 💖💖💖
2:18:42 why did he just stare at the boss instead of shooting?
This TIHYDP got me through a brutal breakup .. thanks outsyder
Excellent TIHYDP! One of the best. Very well edited. Thanks for the laughs haha 😃😃
I used to love the Lab with the alarm at the end, it really heightened the urgency for me. I never expected Phil to ruin that for me! 😂
Phil ruins everything.
He sucks so bad now.
I still think he has the most entertaining playthroughs of Persona 3 & 4 on YT ( legendary p3 charm salt )
Isn't the Save Counter a bit redundant, since the Typewriter itself reports what save number we're on?
I think cause not all loads in this video.
*Phil does something and gets killed*
"That's bullshit"
*Does the same thing again and gets killed*
"This is bullshit, its the same thing that happened last time!"
I wonder why that is...
Yes! Thank you so much for this video! I love it!
I was kinda sad that you didn't do a TIHYDP on RE0 before, but now, everything is cool!
Thank you again for your awesome video. :)
After hearing a whole inventory of ammo unload followed by "Om nomnomnomnomnom" is great 🤣🤣
Can you imagine Phil doing a speedrun?
*"Nothing I could do! OMG lazy capcom!"*
2:47:30 All employees XD!
59:37 "Wow! Phil is actually starting to make a joke. A REAL joke! He's pretending to be a character for a joke!"
59:56 Aaaand he blew it... So close...
He's done this at times. I remember during his Arkham Knight playthrough, he made a joke about Batman listening to the top 40 while he's flying around, and goes on a tangent about all R. Kelly songs being about sex, and just ruined it.
Just finished this awesome game today and I'm pumped to see how Phil manages to make this game a lot harder lol.
Doesn't matter the setting of a Resident Evil game, they will still find a way to blow up a mansion at the end.
fine ill pick hhhhaaaaaarrrdddddddd
Him going back and forth through the doors and wasting all that ammo was probably the most painful part.
"Hard is Normal in this Game." Lol, I love that.
"wheres the zombies? its only bugs?" then 5 minutes later..."whys there so many zombies"?
New exciting drinking game: Take a drink every time he says "I have no ammo!"
Sadly I can't find the collection of photos right now.
you could stop spam
I was absolutely crying with laughter at Phil missing the Bat boss combined with Tiny Tim music 😂
"I've done some dumb shit, this is probably the dumbest"
Oh boy, if only you had known about *The Incident* with a certain assumption about a webcam.
Devour... DEVOURRR
Why on earth didn't you make a counter, for the amount of times he cries like a baby, about it being on hardmode? I really want to know, how many times he did so.
It's called the video length
*Shoots ceiling repeatedly *
HOW AM I OUT OF AMMO
I knew about DSP for a long time, but it was a suffer to watch his full playtroughs. But now, when i found out this highlights chanel, i got so addicted to his playtroughs(it's fucking hilarious!). Thank you verry much 0utsyder)
Bring out the supersized fish and chips, boys and girls!
We're gonna need them for all this lovely salt.
The funny thing is you don’t even need to go into that exterminator room to save Rebecca
I fucking LOVE how this is edited. These are why your editions are the best among don't plays.
It's actually pretty shocking to hear at the end of this video how DSP says how much he enjoyed the game, after listening to 3 hours of straight whining.
oh my god that part with the hunters hahahahahaha also the part with the tyrant as well XD.
The ImmortalPcGamer Phil Is making this hard for himself just go play easy you stoned head phil :-D
Damn you're pretty talented when it comes to editing
Thanks 0utsyder for putting more work into these videos than DSP does into his own videos.
2:12:30 That is nightmare fuel.
3:43 For anyone looking for the classic line. 😂
Just slow it to 0.25x
this might be the best one honestly so many memorable moments
One of the best TIHYDPs of all time. I played my first RE ever on hard and I would never recommend it. Especially to someone like Phil.
I would love to see it too but he won't.
He would ragequit within one session.
Madhouse to make madhouse not insane you really need the circular saw.
I did a Madhouse playthrough without unlocks (no Saw, Albert, etc) and it wasn't too bad if you're patient and you plan out your encounters. Aside from the Crawlers. Fuck those things.
But anyway, unfortunately those are two things Phil doesn't do.
@37:52 The Warcraft bloodlust sound effect with image had my sides in orbit.
6 years later he playing it again
Cant wait for TIHYDP 2024 edition!
*8 years later, he played it on 2016.
I mean why would he play this game again years later?
@@HyperSonicXtreme i have no idea and its even worst this year on hard mode
Annnnndddd he quit. 😂😂😂
They're probably confusing RE0 Hard mode with REmake's "Real Survivor" difficulty, which actually does remove auto aim.
Theres just something magical the way he pulls up CONTROLS and just instantly goes what the fuck is this and disregards it. 🤣
13:40 gee if only it were possible to drop items oh wait it is
1:34:00 Honestly I'm rooting for Chloe more than Phil.
Phil was funnier before the streamchat.
Nice TIHYDP video, keep up the good work.
2:28:01 I wish there were more moments like this, where Phil isn't being an asshole; he's making a legitimately funny joke.
Tubecreeper He's making a joke about how retarded the key system is in the RE series.
Zachary Doyle "retarded" when every game used to do that back then. it's archaic but it's also an old gamr
Zachary Doyle I think the main problem with Phil's joke ideas (the good ones) is the delivery - and that's the one thing that truly makes a joke funny
If your having pain from gas to that point I think should see a doctor Phil
Please tell me I wasn't the only person who watched this all the way through just for All Employees.
richard killface ALL EMPLOYEES PLEASE STOP BRINGING HOME THE SNACKS AND DRINKS OUT OF THE F- THE WORK OFFICE FRIDGE THAT IS NOT FOR YOU TO TAKE
Gets me every time. I like how he flubs up an already bad joke right in the middle, resulting in even more hilarity.
"This is insanity." I love it when Phil says that. It's like he is talking about himself. We all know he suffers from insanity. Just look up the definition of the world by Albert Einstein. XD.
+President of Whiteistan
Semantics.
Oh and Albert Einstein was a fraud.
