I made this and it’s delicious with morning coffee. It’s a large , dense cake. I was afraid it would bake over the sides of the pan, but it was perfect.
All my kids loved the flavor!! My son, who’s 11, and I made it for my oldest daughters 21st birthday. We made a simple caramel drizzle to put on it too. It was very tasty. I would just say make sure your bunt pan is a big size and place something on the bottom rack just in case you have over flow like I did 😬😂 Oopsie LOL Very good flavor 👍🏽
I made this and it is so good. I added icing to mine. I bought 2 containers of the pecan and coconut icing. I put one in the cake like the receipe calls for and then I took the other container of icing, poured it in a bowl and put in microwave for a few seconds. Once it was heated, I was able to pour it over the cake. It may be too sweet for some but I loved it! Thanks for the receipe Hoyt and Susie! Love watching you two! God bless you and your family.
What a shame to cut it when it's still right hot from the oven. :( let it cool, then when you cut it you don't have a mess of it all falling apart! all that effort just to see i t demolished. any icing?? could you show us the inside????
