it's not weird to have a locking lug nut, but it is weird that you've had the car for so long without knowing it. My truck has one lock nut on each tire, truck came that way and had the key socket stored in the glove box.

I’ve had a tire lock on all my cars. It’s actually called a “lug nut lock”. It’s to keep your tires from getting stolen.
and wouldn’t it also make it so only the person that has the key can rotate the tires? maybe switching people would be a bad idea if that was the case. i wouldn’t trust anyone to do that.
@@imgabiireyes well, most tire shops and dealerships have a master key. The vehicle owner has one in case they get a flat tire and needs to change it.
Call the previous mechanic and ask if he had one or if he knows where yours is.
The tire key thing blew my mind too. I thought they were f'in with me. They finally found mine with the spare in the trunk....under the 900 items of junk I kept in my trunk🤦♀️embarrassing day for me all around

I have a locking lugnut too. It’s a good idea considering how much tires cost. Once when I worked in a Stockton school my wheel was stolen off my car.

My car has a tire key too. It came with the car and the first time I was asked where it was I had the same reaction. They said most people keep it in the glove box and asked if they could look for it. Sure enough, it was in a small bag in the glove box

I've had lugnut locks. It was so my "fancy" wheels wouldn't get stolen. I kept it in the glove compartment.

Tire locks are normal 😂 my wrangler came with them and I remember once taking it somewhere and they kept my lock so I couldn’t use my spare. I had to go to there store give them my ID so I could them go through their giant bag of locks they had kept from people. I was so angry lol

Everyone does annoying things but I feel like if you're around the right people, some of those aren't as annoying as you think they are/they've accepted that is a part of you. If they have a problem, I would hope that they'd have a civil conversation with you about it and you can work it out together. Also, it helps that you acknowledge that those things are annoying and can catch yourself when around others depending on how they react to it. For example, if I have something in my hand, I fidget with it and so depending on what that is, it can make an annoying sound. I've had people ask "Can you please stop?" And I'm like "Oh yes, sorry." I have no problem with someone letting me know nicely. I've also been trying to be better at being more conscious about it.
Bolt block key yep have that in my car the car came with it and yep I almost did not get the the flat tire change because hubby had moved it to the glove department 😂😂

I bought a used car and it also has those locked. I wasn't told and I don't have a key. Luckily, every place I've gone to for tire care has had keys. Locks are often added when you have expensive tires and/or rims so you don't get jacked out in public. I had very expensive off road tires so I definitely appreciate the lock. I don't worry about flat tires or tire emergencies because my tires are so hardcore, I'm confident I won't need the key, lol.
I also didn’t know about the universal key and my car was a mess and I was like you can look but good luck and he ended up finding it in my glove box… WHY DONT THEY TELL YOU THESE THINGS WHEN BUYING A CAR?!?

I have a key for my tires. it came in a pouch when I bought my car. The dealership told me to leave it in the glove compartment.

Locking lug nuts are very common, however, it is not common for mechanic to not be able to get it them off.. I would’ve been frustrated. Definitely not saying you’re not though LOL.

My sister’s 2007 Honda civic had a lug nut key(she has since upgraded to a 2021 Honda civic that also has a lug nut key). It was initially in the trunk with her spare(she moved it to her glove compartment when she found it). If the truck has a spare, tell the tech to look in there first

I could be wrong but I think that the name is spelled 'Miso', as in the traditional Japanese seasoning (fermented soybean paste) that is used to flavour Miso soup.

Yeah some newer vehicles have wheel locks that require a key. It’s usually in the glove box.
For any acne, scarring, craters, scars, you can do micro needling with an aesthetician.
Autozone says they have that universal lugnut key. Weird the dealership didn't have a solution.
I use to work for the service department at a dealership. There is no way to get a duplicate key made for locking lug nuts like a vehicle….its one key per set. The technician should be able to cut them off and replace with regular lug nuts if you want if they don’t have a universal key
tire key not weird, but usually is in your glove box. However, the last time I took mine in, the mechanic forgot to put my key back and luckily, I noticed before I got too far gone and was able to come back and pick it up.
Check your glove box. My Kia had the same thing and it was in my glove box.

Its not a key it a socket I have almost the same truck as yours it should be in your owners book in the glove box.
I was told by my boyfriend who worked in an auto place that the key is usually in your trunk with your spare. Said your other tech probably just went to your trunk and found it so he never mentioned it.
