I just read he's not in the RnR Hall of Fame! As a guitarist I wasn't a big fan per se, but Mr. Wray was a very important musician and contributor to rock and roll.. He deserves that honor.
Back in the early 70s Link played a lot at this little club often frequented by the likes of Roy Buchannan & even Rory Gallagher called My Mothers Place, saw Link play many times there & he always put on one hell of a show , folks there knew just who he was & he knew they had come to see the Main MAN !!! He is missed dearly.
R.I.P. Link I was blessed to see you in Ann Arbor Michigan my nephew Dustin Donaldson played drums the night before the Conan O'brien show a true legend a true Indian your music will live forever.
The rock and roll hall of shame disrespected Link Ray by not putting in the great indian man that created the rock and roll musical powered cord that cord created rock music as we no it pay proper homage to a legend. 313
ED, DON'T YOU HAVE ANY INFLUENCE WITH THE ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME…….YOU KNEW IT WHEN YOU WERE UP THERE PLAYING IT , YOU KNEW YOU HAD" SOMETHING " THAT WAS THERE. THIS GOES TO THE RUMBLEMAN . PEOPLE ARE STILL PLAYING HIS MUSIC. UNNNNNNNREAL ! HE STILL HAS THE GLUE !

i WAS 11 IN 1958 WHEN i HEARD LINK LIVE. AMPS ON 10. AWESOME.
Sold a million copies in 1958, it must have blown so many people away, even today it still sounds raw.

They put rappers in the hall of fame but forget real rovkers like Link Wray. A hall of Shame.
Would love to know how play the shadow knows on bass,.I can do the root note obviously but I can't hear exactly what he did.
👍
Thing is, here. In the uk nobody heard of of this
You mean nobody who isn't a musician.
That’s too bad! For sure all the great bands that came out of Uk were fans of Link Wray. Jimmy Page especially
An INSTRUMENTAL record that was banned on the radio. Think about it.
