The Bolgars were not the same as the Rourans, when the Rourans came to Europe as Avars, the Bolgars were sometimes their vassals and sometimes their enemies. The Chuvash are of the same race as the Volga Bolgars and therefore the only Turkic people who speak the Oguric language.
