@SamtheBravesFan that's why you put down echos to distract it first. And why you stack the beds. So that you're still on one the others get destroyed. Plus, if you put the bed in a specific spot, it'll take the AI a while to reach you. So you're more likely to recover at least a little bit.
Playing as Zelda feels like a power trip in a way that playing as Link never did. Why yes, she does rip out the souls of her enemies to use as disposable slave minions, what else would you expect of her?
Also the going into homes and breaking their pots feels especially wrong. I imagine the citizens angrily relaying to each other. "The princess came in and stole my last ruppee!"
Haha, and then scrolling past 80% of the items to find the one you're looking for, just to accidentally select the one right before it. 🤦🏼♀️😅 (I'm aware you can also go to the menue but I barely did that. 😬)

Yeah it’s crazy. It’s like the game was made to be broken. Like they had spent all this time on puzzles and other stuff and you just use a bed or follow an enemy and skip the puzzles.
Way faster with the upgraded bed too. It outheals cold damage when you wake up and sleep repeatedly. If you didn't feel like using fires, for sure a way to do a challenge run.
Legitimately a great, fun, clever game. I’m about halfway through the game and the echo mechanic just doesn’t get old, who knew Zelda could make beds OP?
As soon as I cleared the Suthorn rift, I ended up exploring nearly the entire map, unlocking most of the warp points along the way. The only place I couldn’t explore that wasn’t blocked by an NPC was Hebra Mountain, since I didn’t have any explosives at the time. I didn’t even enter the Jabul Waters and Gerudo Desert by the “intended” entry point. For the former, I was exploring the north-northeast section and entered directly into the River Zora Village. Didn’t even enter the seaside village until after clearing the region’s dungeon. For the latter, I was exploring the western side of the map, then went south straight to Gerudo Town.
They knew beds were OP, because they can’t get reduced at any Tri level. Most other Echoes get a reduction in their costs at certain Tri levels, and beds are among those that don’t get reduced. (I’m referring to later beds)
You forgot the part where healing with beds is faster if you wake up as soon as you heal the first heart and then immediately go back to sleep again instead of just waiting because the wait between sleeping and the first point of recovery is shorter than the first point of recovery and the second.
There's also the (spoiler beneath the read more) Other outfits you get after clearing your name. One of them is pajamas that greatly speed up the rate at which beds work) and most people that I've seen use the "sleep wake up sleep" trick were early game cases or just didn't feel like swapping outfits so I don't really have a direct comparison aside from how it normally is without the trick vs how it is with the pajamas.
Omg I never tried that with the spider. I was in the Gerudo desert and wondered, why I cant reach the orb on the tower, so I walked away to find the Zoras, to get the water block... THANK YOU!!! xD
Something I might’ve found is if you quickly get up and after you get heart from the bed, you heal faster than you would just waiting Yeah I was surprised too to see no fall damage The spider trick is such a huge skip it’s hilarious We end up just playing Pokémon (or palworld) lol. I love also binding enemies, both to drag them off ledges and keeping them still for my OP echo to attack
Same. I honestly didn’t notice the slow healing part until I took a pee break in the second rift. I tend to resummon my echoes a lot to spam their opening attack
There’s Boo-like ghost enemies in a hidden cave at a graveyard northeast of Hyrule Castle. I often use those to hit switches like the one shown at 2:04, since they can phase through walls.
In my review I'm posting later today I advised Zelda is massively over powered with her self healing abilities, ability to transform into Link, and ability to open the entire map with her echoes. That Hyrule feels really small compared to maps of other modern games and that it was the easiest Zelda game in the franchise. I stuck with a score of 8/10 - because there's still a lot of fun to be had and the dungeons are still great.
It’s a fun lighthearted game. You know fun that thing you have where you don’t have to Nash your teeth when you die 1 million times also, the boss fights were pretty difficult. things can just be fun. It’s OK.
I had no idea beds healed until right before the final boss fight because I decided to do the bank heist side quest after my last temple and got the sleeping clothes which I was told made you recover hearts faster in beds
I notice some comments about the scroll bar. Tip: You can go the journal from the scroll menu and it lists all of the echoes for you to find them quicker.
I've been loving the game but this is so accurate it's hard.😂😂😂 Every now and then she's taking 5 seconds naps and then suddenly suddenly she's putting everything on fire with the fire zoll , using blocks of water to go absolutely anywhere, using the dead voodo Doll (whatever that is) to adjust any situation as well as anything that electrifies. 😂😂😂😂 Also for explosions I always use the same fish bomb 😂😂😂 the game is amazing and hilarious at the same time 😂😂😂 . Also you can always go rogue and do all rounder on the map and then finally start the game put so many echoes that you cannot use because they are too advanced considering your level 😂😂😂
I love this game.. I am almost done with it. And yes the potions do a lot of good when you’re fighting bosses that don’t let you use your bed. But this game is great. I have every Zelda game. And this one is as fun as the ocarina of Time.

The fact that you can just build a stack of beds and then sleep to recover hearts, even in the middle of a boss fight is just wild.
Ultimate boss dis
final boss you can too xd

I wouldn't dare do that. Wouldn't they just destroy the beds quickly before you recover?
I use the "stack of beds" tactic for traversing.

Beds are legitimately OP. They can restore herts, and when all else fails just make a bed bridge.
You can even effectively double the length of it using Tri grab.

That's my go-to tactic already
