It may also be because the metal community (self included) tend to get up in arms towards anyone too "mainstream" succeeding and getting that $20 million day one album makes you a "sell out" and "not as good" regardless of sound.
We are passionate, but our nature is cannibalistic.
It's unfortunate really.
Metal has a huge audience. You just dont see it in the media. There's plenty of people around you who enjoy some good metal
@Zach Martinez no, its because that's not what's popular anymore. When it comes down to it, businesses and entertainers will always try and please the majority.
Lots of hard work on that album
You guys deserve it
No other bands even come close
Very much well deserved and I wish they won even more. Give Tool ALL the awards! Congratulations!
Greatest drummer earth has ever seen.
Wow what a good news. Tool is my favorite music band of all time. The most philosophical and revolutionary, in these times of darkness and dumbness Tool is very helpful
I think they didn't have anything prepared, it all looked spontaneous, and I loved that
Oh my! Great job guys. Totally deserve this!!! KEEP THEM COMING!!!!
Danny always sounds like he’s about to burst into tears
My man, Danny giving dap to the greatest of all time - Tony Williams!!!!
Tool = Legends! Definitely deserved. ❤
Tool - and slipknot should have been invited to perform live. Both had #1 albums in 2019. Rock/Metal gets screwed again.
Tool is the greatest band in existence
Deserves more trophies.
You can tell how nervous they both are, and so humble, even though their music is groundbreaking and completely different.... ALMOST to the point of creating their own category of rock. The reason I say that is that after Tool broke new ground starting with Undertow, many and I mean MANY bands followed suit. Tool has their place as one of the greatest bands of all time in any respect.
real artists among plastic "artists"
tool isnt only music... tool is a religion... and they send us their newest gospel...
Love to see it. You can tell Danny and Justin have a genuine love for each other and the other two.
Real music!!!! Thank you TOOL!
Danny says he needs to thank the gods when in fact he is one of them.
Well done , you guys deserves more than that .
One of, if not the best drummer in the world right thar!
