To me, the best area in Bangkok is PHAYA THAI BTS station... you have the BTS station right there, (just a few stops to SIAM BTS, so very central), AND just a few meters away is the AIRPORT LINK station... you can be INSIDE the airport terminal in about 20 minutes. In my mind PHAYA THAI is the ultimate in convenience. I also like ASOK, as you have BOTH BTS and MRT access, and same for SALA DAENG, but that is not as residential-friendly.
Hey, thanks for your comment! Yes, definitely agree Phaya Thai is incredibly convenient especially with the combination of BTS/ Airport Rail Link. This convenience, has made it very popular with Thai and Expat working professionals. We tried to keep this video short, so we missed a lot of great neighborhoods in Bangkok. Thank you for sharing your insights. -Pierre
Love watching your videos. Yes. I have a budget of 1.3m to buy in Bangkok. U have any suggestions. Please send me any listings under that price. Thanks.
I am thinking of getting a condo in Thailand for retirement and preferably two bedder units minimally 70 square metres with good unblocked views and walking distance to restaurants and shopping malls :
Thank you for the information. Your channel is very good. I would like to buy a condo in Thailand, I like the big city so definitely am considering Bangkok as well as other parts of the country. For me the problem is that I do not believe people from my country will be able to enter Thailand easily in the near future. I do not have a Thai bank account as I have found that even opening a bank account is very difficult when I was there many times because I only had a tourist visa. At the current exchange rate I would only want to buy a condo for about 1.3 million Baht not more so maybe Bangkok is too expensive for this. I don’t see many videos about properties less than 3 million. Maybe Chiang Mai, Pattaya, or other areas would be more affordable. Until the situation improves and it becomes realistic to return to Thailand I will continue watching your channel for ideas. Thank you 🙏🏼
Thank you so much for your kind words. 😁 I will keep making new videos that offer practical info about real estate in Bangkok & living in Thailand. Just some advice regarding opening a Thai Bank Account: - If you are renting with a long-lease (6-12 Months) and you have a Lease Agreement, you can open a Bank Account in some Banks. - If you are buying a property and you have a Sales & Purchase Agreement, you can open a Bank Account. In terms of 1-3 mb condos, it is possible to find in Bangkok; these condos tend to be located further away from the Center. On the bright side, I think Pattaya still has a broad range of options in the 1-3mb range. Thanks for watching the video, really appreciate your support! 🙏 -Pierre
Respectfully disagree. Buy as close to the Chao Phraya River as you can afford. Start your search at Nonthaburi in the north and work your way down. Smart investors will pay attention to the rapid transit expansion.
Keep the great video content. You are wonderful and informative waouh great English. I would love to buy in Ekkamai as I'm originally from the area. 💛🙏
i have a thailand citizenship but i live abroad , i really want to buy a condo for myself and live there so i am very interested in the agency thank you for the video, you are wonderful
Hey George, thanks for your question! I used to live in Thonglor before buying in Ekkamai, I really like the neighborhood! The area is well-regarded and it offers a very dynamic lifestyle. It is a trendy area, popular with affluent Thais and Expats. However, there are a lot of new projects going-up in Thonglor so this is resulting in a spike in supply. So be very selective when you are looking for an investment in Thonglor. Hope this helps! 🙏 -Pierre
You can’t buy property in Bangkok, you can buy condos. The condos have bad build quality and start to fall apart after one year. Also, they are building so quickly that your property appreciates very slowly are not at all. If you want to buy property you must do so with a Thai person, and they then can take it from you. I met a lot of farang men who lost all there money to Thai women, who took the property from them. Just do what I do, I move every year to a new condo, and just rent. I owned property back home, and it pays for my living and lifestyle here.
Hey Liu Xi, thank you! Yes, Phrong Phong is really great it's got Luxury Malls (Emquartier, Emporium), Community Malls (K-Village, Fuji Supermarket) and overall, the lifestyle is very pleasant. Would definitely recommend the area if you are looking to buy! There are so many great areas to live in Bangkok, we couldn't fit them all in the video haha! 😂 -Pierre
@@PropertyScout Thanks a lot Pierre. Indeed there are so many nice areas in BKK. What do you think between old block and new block? New ones seem quite small but the older building don't have nice facilities. I'll PM you with inquiry details. :)
Thanks for your question! :) New Condos & Old Condos offer their own unique advantages and disadvanatages. Old Condos Adv: More space and usually cheaper per square meters. Disadv: If badly maintained the common areas and interiors can look dated. More maintenance to be conducted. New Condos Adv: Fresh living environment and generally local market prefers new condos. Disadv: More expensive per square meters and smaller unit sizes. If you are looking to buy, you are welcome to contact us on info @ freshbangkok .com (No spaces) Thanks again, -Pierre
Hey Tom, thanks for your question! Ari is a very pleasant and convenient neighborhood (Located only a few stops from BTS Siam); it has developed a unique community environment with loads of trendy restaurants, popular eateries, and lots of hip bars. It is very popular with young professionals. We don't cover the area so much, but I would say Condos start at around 150,000 THB per/sqm. Hope this helps. If there's anything feel free to ask! -Pierre
Hey thanks for your question! Unfortunately, we do not really cover the Bang Chak area. If you have a specific Condo/Project in mind let us know, we can try recheck sales prices. 🙏 Thanks for watching. - Pierre
Ahhh just rechecked Plum Condo Sukhumvit 97 is a brand new project that is planned to complete this year. Unfortunately, we do not have enough experience with this project/area to advise. However, I do know that Pruksa is an establised and generally a reliable developer. 🙏 -Pierre
Hey, really appreciate you leaving a comment. However, I am not sure why it would be stupid to buy a condo over 3mb? Thailand has a growing economy and an affluent Thai middle class. From experience, we've also worked with Thai/Foreign property investors who have had success investing in Bangkok real estate. Always happy to hear your thoughts. Thanks again, for watching the video.
maybe you are just poor (and stupid). 3mil won't get you much of a condo in bkk and smaller condos are the worst investment as there is an oversupply of studio/1br units.
@@Vishypoo there's a oversupply in bkk in almost everything. One of the worst location to invest in my opinion. So many empty rooms, population declining, prices still sky high. He's not so far off. Even in big european citys experts talk about real estate bubbles, but there the demand is also high + inflation, that's why I think the prices may still rise for several years. But in BKK exorbitant prices without demand. Just big speculation by asian gamblers or money laundering by chinese people, imho.

could u mind to mention the areas where its minimum flood free zone in Bangkok please???
Kindly let me know the flood free zone in Bangkok..
We'll be making a blog post about this sometime in the future - it's difficult to define by area but rather by street.
Thank you for the great video, what about Prom Phong area?

Spending more than 3 million baht on purchasing any condo uni in Bangkok is just plain stupid!
