  • During the pandemic in 2020, Sandesh Dasi, a Swiss native who has lived in India for many years, decides to take up a pilgrimage by bicycle following the traditional way of St. James (aka "Camino Santiago").
She starts in Zürich, passes through Geneva, and continues to Le Puy en Velay. From there, she cycles to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, then to Pamplona, and finally all the way to Santiago de Compostela within 45 days - a total of 2'000 km.
Sandesh Dasi came to ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) at the tender age of 16, and later completed her Bachelor's and Master's degree in Religious Studies in Fribourg, Switzerland. Thereafter, she spent more than 10 years in various holy places in India, deepening her understanding of practical and applied spirituality.
In this video diary, she shares some of her experiences, insights and realisations she had during this pilgrimage which she was yearning to undertake since her childhood.
Special thanks to Sagnik Basu ‪@DNoizyGuy_sagnikbasu‬ for compiling the audio track. Many thanks to Bevis Theodore Lowry ( storypaths.net/ ) for completing this video project in such a wonderful way.

I hope the journey was is blessing for you. And I am sure this path was blessed that an associate of Aindra prabhu touched it with her feet. ❤ Maybe even St. James in his grave was ecstatic and tasted a drop of manjari bhav in his old bones. May you and he pray for us.
