Very nice tank overall. I like the simplicity of your DIY cover. I have a new 72 gallon rimless tank that I will probably do something similar to what you have done. Thanks for sharing.

Perfect holes for a fish to jump out of - despite everything. A very nice, completely non-functional aquarium cover.

Light is good. Which brand it is?

Thanks for the video:-). Where did you buy your acrylic? I've looked at bunnings and mitre 10 but they only have 3mm. Also how much did your acrylic sheet cost?
I purchased polycarbonate double wall stuff yesterday for $31 from bunnings also picked up some edge capping to keep it clean. I'm concerned about how much light will get through. 10 or 6mm Acrylic would be my preference for this project.

Why don't you have proper angles for the pipes, because they will compress over time. Clear acrylic wont weaken the light. There is clear over the top of LED lights. Think about it. I use 3ml just fine. You don't need it thick at all, as long as it stays flat on top of the tank. If you get a hair dryer on the bit that is bending and using some heavy books you can flatten it out.
