I just changed the same gas line and is was exactly like yours.I also cleaned carb. I put it all back together and the saw would not start. It was getting gas and spark,,but would not fire at all. Took me a minute to figure it out but I found you really have to tighten the carb nuts down to get a good seal. Did that and ran like brand new.
Just changed the fuel line on my 250 the other day and I've changed plenty for others and always got Stihl brand from dealer but they had a Oregon brand for me. I didn't notice any difference so it seems fine! Like you say the part that's in the tank always seems a bit short!
@@TheGreasyShopRag got er done , my ms 270 would run like 20 minutes then bog out , same problem as you found , got a new line and slapped er in and Bob's my auntie , cheers 🍻
I'm back again I have 028 can you give me the number on a fuel line kit if there is a thing. I want to replace the fuel filter and the fuel line. Thanks for all the tips
Love That Bullshit Button 😊😀 I Agree Those Fuel Lines are A Pain to Change The Filter The Worst Is a TS-350 CutQuick Stihl 😩🥵🥵🥵😩 Great Job On The Diagnosis and Repair
This is a great video. I have a 80s era 038 magnum and this helped. Hemostats! Brilliant 👌
Thanks for watching!

Good job figuring that out!
Yeah, I had to really lean on the wrench to undo the nuts

You wouldn't happen to remember the model number that Oregon fuel line, would you?
@@lorenz681 I'm sorry I do not. It came from my Stihl dealer though!
I use a tooth cleaning water-pic to clean up small parts. It's like a mini-pressure cleaner. Only about $50, and a great aid to dental hygiene.
That sounds like a good idea.
you gave us the "Later" then went back in for more surgery. How do you keep an a-hole in suspense? You'll tell me later........
Lol! Thats one of my favorite lines!
I have ms180 she start fine but when i want to cut she stop in wood and wont cut. What can be problem
The chain stops or the engine doesn't have power?
@@TheGreasyShopRag chain stop and when i pick up chain from wood go full gas work ok but when i go again to cut chain stop
@@SonGoku-fj1uh I can't be sure but it sounds like you are describing a clutch problem if the engine isn't bogging.
@@TheGreasyShopRag i hope it is clutch not engine.thanks
I look for clutch and it look ok tomorow i will change my carburator kit and my fuel line
What was it you adjusted to stop it from bogging down at the end of the video?
The low speed carb jet. I struggled getting the screwdriver through the grommet and onto the adjustment screw, thats why I removed the cover.
Thanks 👍

I don't work at a Stihl dealer so you'll have to google the answer just like I would. Thanks or watching.
