Easier said than done Basito. Your hip tech is so difficult to do, even for pro fighters...you just see 5 in the ufc using the proper tech and they r all strikers.
It's called practice my brother. Their mind is thinking head. But for safety you train by hitting the gloves. it's purely a safety precaution during drilling. Light sparring would be 20% power to the desired target. Hard sparring is anywhere from 50-80% power. That is when u strike the actual target. If u notice the drills are very specific. When he wants them to slip or duck, he has their partner strike to the head, not the gloves. Hitting the gloves is also a quick way to train defense and offense at the same time. It's just drilling. If u don't already, go train to feel what I'm saying. It makes more sense after you've experienced it first hand.

If I were Bas friend and was doing this as my choice of sport and lifestyle, I would do better with his age in training. I dont mean anything offensive, but you will read this as an offensive comment just because people made the commentsection a trashtalking bin. It just looked like he had more eyes on Bas than his trainingpartner.
