    I love CDMX. We have a place in Roma Sur and I stayed in Narvarte in 2001 to 2002. My wife's family still has a house in Narvarta. Narvarta has changed so much in 20 years. It is a great place to relocate to. The local restaurants are getting so much better in the area. We visit the CDMX about 4 times a year. From Los Angeles CA it costs us about $125 round trip if we leave from T.J. This makes it very affordable to visit CDMX for a long weekend. We plan to retire in CDMX part time going back and forth from the States.

    Hello guys🎉im from CDMX and i lived in paris 5 years and i love paris but i love for far CDMX 🎉 my advice for your water troubles is that as i've lived in different zones invthe city we used to have troubles with the supply of water in this area Del Valle and Narvarte but it depends too of what kind of building if its old or new,etc because i've lived since 2015 in alcaldia Benito Juarez in Portales zone near Del valle zone, both belong to the same alcaldía and we have never suffer the cut of water n this zone portales as we used to live in Del Valle zone we used to have thes problem very often , so my advice is that you have to do a carefully search of the zone you liked most to be sure to avoid the most possible the troubles with water, im sure you can find a great bulding who has the equiment neccesary to prevent the absence on water, theres a lot of nice and paceful colonies or zones that doesnt have that problem , we can help you with any questions or doubts about areas,colonies,etc ,saludos and welcome🎉🎉👍🏽

    Mexico City is amazing and the very heart of our whole country. Nevertheless, it might seem really chill and relaxed to you because you are tourists. Ask those people in Mexico city who have to commute for hours to get to work in 10+ hours a day jobs if they think Mexico City is chill. Foreigners should be aware your point of view is one of privilege.

    • @lifetheorycouple
      @lifetheorycouple  5 дней назад

      We understand that not having to commute to work and have jobs that can be done from anywhere is a privilege. I myself grew up in Bogota. I would spend hours on a bus to get to college. I saw my dad get home exhausted after being on 2+ hours traffic on his commute from work. I have family members that have to leave their kids alone for hours after school, because they also work 10+ hours a day.
      I still think the vibe of Mexico City is different, I didn’t feel the same sense of urgency from people. Because it seems like public transportation is better and more reliable. Maybe it’s just Mexicans and their warm nature that makes it different.

    • @AnthonyCastro-hp6sg
      @AnthonyCastro-hp6sg 7 дней назад

      @@lifetheorycoupleMexicans can’t afford houses because of all the immigrants that come from countries with more money. Even the tech companies in Mx city hire people from the u.s. instead of giving the job opportunity to Mexicans. The minimum wage is less than $3. Meanwhile many old Americans move to Mexico because they can’t afford the u.s., in doing so this makes actual Mexicans not be able to afford houses. They often don’t even learn Spanish, and in return they get put on a pedestal above Mexicans. When they don’t have pesos to buy, they can just use u.s. currency in many places. Might be great for u, but it’s not good for Mexicans. It could be too late before u start to notice, but this will lead to many problems. But ofc they won’t affect u. Please advertise other countries, I’ve been seeing a lot of people visiting Mx and recommending to live there, but Mexico has too many problems to figure out before they take in a bunch of retirees that mess up the economy even more. El Salvador seams great, Brazil, Colombia. Anything but Mexico

    • @AnthonyCastro-hp6sg
      @AnthonyCastro-hp6sg 7 дней назад +5

      It doesn’t need old retirees pricing Mexicans out and making them not able to afford houses when the Minimum wage is $3 and the immigrants don’t assimilate or speak Spanish. Mexican people deserve better than their gov but immigrants will always take advantage what they can

    • @lifetheorycouple
      @lifetheorycouple  7 дней назад

      @AnthonyCastro-hp6sg - We do feel these sentiments... You will find that people in Colombia, where we have spent a lot of time, have the same complaints about foreigners. --- (1) The hard truth for anyone to hear is that life is NOT affordable anywhere if you make minimum wage. This is true in the US, Colombia, Mexico, and I'm sure every other country you choose to analyze. Especially if you're looking to be a home owner of any sort. I never know one person in my life who has owned a home and has made minimum wage. Instead, they have made well beyond it. A quick Google search suggests most Mexicans make over minimum wage. --- (2) Geographic Arbitrage will always be a thing as long as there are attractive places, like Mexico City, where the foreign currency can go a lot further. The challenge many governments faces is deciding this... Do we stop foreigners from coming and spending their money or even investing to protect those with less means, such as our own citizens? Or do we allow it and that creates bigger economic opportunity for our citizens? These are VERY HARD questions to answer. --- (3) Overall, the economy/economies and the interactions between economies are REALY UNFAIR. This is my biggest take away from this comment... It is in anyone's best interest to accept this reality, and accept their own economic circumstances. Then to work, and work hard, and to learn how to also work smart, to become a winner/beneficiary of their own economic situation. This may seam a bit harsh to say, but I don't mean it to be harsh, but rather real. It's always easy to point a finger at those winning and blame them, and to feel disgusted and disheartened when we see those losing or getting the unfair advantage. This is worth it's own video. Let me know your further thoughts.

      Thank you for your view and comment! - When discussing affordability and spending, we do not mean it in a boasting way whatsoever. I might boast about how I keep track of things in a very organized way, this is mostly because we are interested in what we spend, save, and investing for long term financial success. --- But, we mostly share our spending to give people are real idea of how much a city and place actually costs. CDMX is quite expensive compared to many other Latin American cities we have visited, truthfully. --- If we were to actually make CDMX home, we would likely find a better apartment, one we like with some direct sunlight and not one on the Planta Baja level. Anywho, I did not mean to offend but to give people are realistic idea.
