Ferozo Not true amigo. This increase in rents is due to multiple reasons but the main reason is that the mayor of Mexico cancelled more than 250 high-rise buildings or thousands of new apartments when she took possession back in 2018 saying that there was not money to upgrade the infrastructure. She then denied more building permits and she never upgraded the infrastructure. during her turn in office. In fact she did the opposite but now she is happy running for president, Whoever votes for Sheim..baum is crazy. Also, Mexico has entered at the end of its developing phase and entering a fully developed economy so more Mexicans are actually displacing Mexicans in CDMX and in other cities in Mexico. Yes, you probably can see more people from the US and Canada too but this slow and continue migration has been happening for decades at a much smaller pace but the pandemic accelerated this so you can not blame only one group for what's happened. You've got to look at broader picture. You also have a lot of migration from the south of Mexico that no one seems to complaint about and they are too part of the problem. They also need a place to stay and therefore the demand in housing increases and rents go higher but you got millions of Mexicans that won't recognize that by having the southern border open in Chiapas and not imposing a visa on all the countries in Latin America, Mexico is only allowing people to get into the country as a tourist and never leave. They're more reasons why the cost of living in CDMX is high and the bad news for you is the rents are going to keep going higher as politicians make bad decisions, demand & supply issues and world instability continues. So look at data from the inegi, investigate political decisions, etc before pointing fingers at some people.

There's so many other cheaper options in Mexico..I'm in Morelia and paying 300 usd for a 2 bedroom, has a balcony and in super nice area. I can get by on 800usd per month for everything and if I spend 1k usd a month than im splurging and eating out everyday. Guanajuato is also another very nice and affordable city.

What are some of those neighborhoods?? I think part of the reason why expats only rent in Roma, Condessa, santa fe and Polanco is because those are the only neighborhoods we know for sure, for sure are safe😅😅😅😅😅it's that dumb!!

us prices probably in an urban area, she mentioned she is a very upscale area in mexico city which you do have to compare with major cities in the states. Now i dont live in a big city but i dont think 2400 for 3 bedroom apartment in the United State at a very upscale would be possible. I get it, its Latin America, but its also the biggest city in North america so yea, not a bad price. I do think if your living on savings with no actual stabled job, your best to avoid the upscale areas at all cost.

@Tulu.Travels... Like #6... Hi 👋😊! Honey, let me tell you something: Here in México you can find much more food less expensive 🫰 at the Tianguis than the supermarkets like Walmart (even there are mexican supermarkets cheaper like Chedraui or Commercial Mexicana or Soriana). You can find an apartment cheaper in other zones of CDMX that are safe places to live nearby, Condesa and Roma Norte became more expensive for living. You can apply for a working visa, it's not so difficult... All you have to do is investigate, do your research... I hope your situation changes in a better way. You're welcome to live in México! Mexican here, I think what you need to do in order to avoid the apartment cost rise, is to spread out to other neighborhoods, look for the place you like, don’t let the renter rise the price you originally saw in the advert just cause you are a foreigner, because it defeats the purpose of living in Mexico in the first place, btw the guy with “rosca de Reyes” bread told you “están grandotas” Which means “you’re biggies” or “you girls are tall and strong” if he would said “están gordas or gordotas” that means “you’re fat or fatties” and then said “you need to eat to stay that way” he didn’t mean it in an insulting way, he was very kind to you girls, enjoy Mexico.
There’s also Facebook for social media moderators. Those can be worked from anywhere. I’m hoping to relocate to Mexico in a few years and have been researching remote jobs. Good luck!!
The cost of Hotels have doubled if not more since I was there in 2019 , I think the Polanco , Roma - Condessa is really catered to the top 10 percent of Mexican earners and of course US & European tourists that have good earning jobs. I’m headed there this month and it’s incredible how much this trip is costing with Hotel , flights Etc …
As a native of Mexico City, my suggestion is to stay away from the gringo enclaves that charge US prices. Take a chance in another decent neighborhood and save some $$.
I’m still at the 4 min mark. However, it seems you are a residence of the USA still. Do you have residency in CDMX or are you there on a tourist visa/ visa free entry for a few months? You don’t have to lie on your applications for a remote job. Your parent’s place can be your US address.
Yes Im still a citizen of the US and here in Mexico on the tourist visa for 6 months at a time. I didn't think of it that way! Thank you for your advice, I'll look into this a little more 🙏🏿
I'm going to Mexico in January and I would like to know what the average temperature is. I see that it's sunny, but it's winter. Your videos are very good! Congratulations!! ✊🏾✈️🌎
i heard that renting a place in CDMX is an extreme pain with the paperwork (even for Mexicans). u must provide all kinds of proof income, and SEVERAL co-signers, and wait several months to be approved. this is done because apparently evicting someone in Mexico is almost impossible. anyone know this is accurate? thanks
Hi there! Hope you can enjoy living in Mexico City, of course they're so cheap prices where you can find anything about traditional food, museums, movies theaters, etc. Still doing and keep like that making content!! Really love it. ❤
I think it’s important to have faith and I hope everything worked out for you. The remote job market is BRUTAL. It took me over a year to find a remote job that would allow me to work anywhere in the world. It has NEVER took me this long to find a job. So I don’t think you did anything wrong, it’s just the job market right now. The reason I was looking for a remote from anywhere job is so that I could relocate to Colombia. I’ve been there numerous of times within the past 2yrs and I am familiar with the area, culture and expenses. But the difficulty in this job market has encouraged me to get my Masters in a degree that would allow me to be a business owner and be completely remote.
I want to move to Mexico but I need a cheap but nice place. I plan to save enough to live for at least 3 years. I would really love a roommate so we can both save money and work together. Why didn’t u get a visa to work?
yall are beautiful and I'm praying for you.. if you still get mail in the USA at moms and dads then it's OK to say you're still in the USA and a digital nomad because you are blessed to go and come and the job allows it. xoxoxo
Hello! I am reaching out to expats that have moved to mexico. I am trying to get as many details as I can from different people. I would like to know a few things about your journey. Are you now living permanently? What is the first step for me to get temporary citizenship? How much is an avrage 1 bedroom apartment? I have a B.A. in Business Admin with 35 years of professional experience, how can that translate into work in Mexico? Anything details would be much appreciated.
I went to Mexico for the first time 2 weeks ago. I have spent so much money. I have lived in European countries for less than $1000 for a month. Condesa and Roma Norte is nyc prices. If you can find a good grocery store that isn’t too far.
I look Dominican but I’m black/white only speak English I’m trying to move closer to home(riverside,ca) my job has an opening in California. Do you think I would make it out there? I would be able to drive back home that 3 hours whenever I want but far as culture would I be accepted? Would I have to worry about cartel or anything like that?
So you want to move to mexico city or California? I think you would be totally fine here in CDMX! The people are really warm and welcoming and I feel safer here than I do in many parts of the US
En Querétaro creo que las rentas son un poco más bajas por si consigues Home work , tendrías que ir a estados unidos y regresar con trabajo o conseguir por internet, espero haber ayudado, saludos
Hello! Thanks for the engaging vlog! I heard you say you are looking for remote work. I recommend looking up Libryia Jones's Quit Commuting Academy. She is known as the Remote Work Queen. I'm looking too! Take care and tell México City I will see her again soon.
hiii, I have a friend who works at HBO Max and they do have a location in Mexico City and depending on the job it can be remote. I'd check them out! I'm new to your channel and maybe saw you were a software developer? or is that someone else lol. lmk tho if so, I think current employees can recommend ppl ❤ you have this. 🦋🌱 edit: that bread is special🎉 where I'm from in LA, you'll check if there's a little plastic baby in there and if there is you gotta cook tamal for everyone lol
This is so sweet, thank you for the lead! My background is in hardware and a little bit of software but I will look into it 🙏🏿 And yes! We were able to learn more about the tradition of the bread, very cool ✨
¡Hola!
That’s crazy these are US prices, apt should’ve been under 1k idk where yall looked. Also, the more Americans talk about how cheap it is it’s going up honestly.
Absolutely love & seeing and hearing how you’re so real about your love and dependability on Jesus.. Be encouraged! GOD is faithful and can deliver us from any situation we get ourselves into! Truly, we walk by faith and not by sight! One other important thing, always live within your means! Living outside of our means is extremely stressful. There are many shiny distractions out there that will try to pull you away from being focused and staying focused on your budget. But... I encourage you in the new year to stay focused and I pray that GOD will show himself to be mighty on your behalf! 🙌👆🙌
Love your vlog.❤ Have you thought about creating your own job. 1) teach / tutor English for $25 or whatever. Tourist are always looking for activities, you can teach them how to cook various dishes, or take people on walking tours for 👛
When the guy at the rosca de reyes told you coman ustedes están grandotas he didn't mean that you ate fat what he meant was that you are tall and strong that you need to eat to stay that way

@@Tolu.Travels Too bad we didn't get a chance to meet, you seem like a great person. Maybe next time, keep in touch, I'll probably be back through there, later this year. I'm in Iraq now.
You are not a resident of Mexico unless you give up citizenship. Are you a temporary resident. If not, you are still resident of USA. Use mother or Father address in USA if not permanent resident of Mexico.
Sorry Darek but both points you made are wrong. You can maintain dual citizenship, you don't have to relinquish your US citizenship. In the Fall of 2022 I obtained a Temporary Resident Visa through the legal economic solvency requirements that will switch to permanent resident status in three years and I am still a citizen of the US. I will then have the option of becoming a citizen of Mexico for voting purposes if I desire, either way I would still retain my citizenship in the US. She is not legally a temporary resident, she is living here as a tourist on a tourist permit lasting 180 days maximum. When that expires she will have to leave the country and then return with hopes getting another 180 day permit. BTW- I moved here from the LA/Ventura area of CA in December 2022 and now live and eat like a Rey (King) in Ensenada just over a mile to the beach on less than half of what she is paying for rent right now. I surfed for a couple hours this morning and had a healthy lunch consisting of three freshly caught and cleaned fish tacos con todo along with a liter of freshly squeezed organic orange, pineapple and coconut juice with banana all for less than $7.50us including a good tip served by smiling, friendly people who know my name. I am now about to doze off for a short siesta in my palm frond covered rooftop hammock with my cat in my lap watching the ocean and surf to the muffled sound of a mariachi concert coming from the harbor malecon off in the distance.... Buena suerte!

I am looking into retiring in Mexico in the next couple of years. This bought me to your video. May I ask how you expected to earn an income, without a Visa❓I do not want to seem uncaring or mean, but this question is valid. Were you depending upon a RUclips income❓🤷🏻♂️ I wish you well, because you seem to be a lovely person.
Thank you! Yes, my goal was to work on youtube full time and hopefully start earning income from it to pay the bills! But God works in mysterious ways and has been opening door to my dream opportunities like acting and modeling so it's working out in its own way ✨ good luck with your retirement!!
Such blind faith in religion. The lesson here is that you really have to work something out on your own because nothing is gonna fall out of the sky no matter how much you pray. That's just the reality of things.
Girl, let me tell you the problem that I personally think you're having. You're still trying to live like an american in Mexico, where here you can find a lot of cheaper options in regards of food. I just noticed that you cooked will all branded and wrapped up ingredients which is more expensive. Try to look instead for "fruterias" nearby by, which is a local store that only sells fruits and vegetables. (It is cheaper than the market) Also look for mexican meals like "huevos a la mexicana" o "picadillo" in youtube recipes. If you have no job rn, use your time in a more frugal manner that way and you will save more money. I'm a new mexican follower here, love your content and wish you the best.
With all respect I'm gonna say this for all foreign people moving to cdmx: if its difficult for you, imagine how difficult is becoming for locals who live in our own city. We can't even pay rent... We gain in pesos, not in dolars. I recomend you everyone who visit mexico city, open your eyes and see how local people lives. The problem of the expensive cost living is because of you guys. So, please, be more conscious and dont complain, you have a big privilege, so be gratfull for the oportunity you have. You are welocome, obviosly. Travel and migrate is a right, buuut its important to understand what is happening with mexico and their people.

Thanks for your comment and help with clarifying! Yeah, we'll definitely be exploring other areas after this
I was living and working in the CDMX for 2 years. Just left last year,(5/23)., had a great time. I still have a few friends there.
That is awesome!
Wow thanks for including the apartment pricing. Did you go through a realtor? It seems kind of pricey. It is a nice place though!
Of course! Yes it is on the pricier side 😕 and we did not use a realtor but found the place through Whatsapp groups
There’s also Facebook for social media moderators. Those can be worked from anywhere. I’m hoping to relocate to Mexico in a few years and have been researching remote jobs. Good luck!!
Thank you for the lead!! 🙏🏿
How can someone apply for that?
The cost of Hotels have doubled if not more since I was there in 2019 , I think the Polanco , Roma - Condessa is really catered to the top 10 percent of Mexican earners and of course US & European tourists that have good earning jobs. I’m headed there this month and it’s incredible how much this trip is costing with Hotel , flights Etc …
As a native of Mexico City, my suggestion is to stay away from the gringo enclaves that charge US prices. Take a chance in another decent neighborhood and save some $$.
its truly CRAZYYY😭
I need to try out a different area after this!
Aw thank you!! The weather in January will be quite dry from what I remember but the rain should have stopped
i heard that renting a place in CDMX is an extreme pain with the paperwork (even for Mexicans). u must provide all kinds of proof income, and SEVERAL co-signers, and wait several months to be approved. this is done because apparently evicting someone in Mexico is almost impossible. anyone know this is accurate? thanks
The process for us was pretty straight forward although they did make us pay an extra deposit because we didnt have Mexican residency
PERO LIKEEE !...... i fall in love every time you say that
Hi there! Hope you can enjoy living in Mexico City, of course they're so cheap prices where you can find anything about traditional food, museums, movies theaters, etc. Still doing and keep like that making content!! Really love it. ❤
Thank you!✨
I understand that you may want to be live in a popular spot. Yes trust in God but you need to do your part, budget $1200 per is too much.
Absolutely!
What type of remote jobs to you apply here in Mexico? From Mexican companies ? I’m a Mexican 😅
I eventually wasn’t able to get a remote job! But I was able to get some acting gigs while in cdmx
Congrats on finding a job! It is a really tough market right now but thankfully God's been taking care of me 🙌🏿
I want to move to Mexico but I need a cheap but nice place. I plan to save enough to live for at least 3 years. I would really love a roommate so we can both save money and work together. Why didn’t u get a visa to work?
yall are beautiful and I'm praying for you.. if you still get mail in the USA at moms and dads then it's OK to say you're still in the USA and a digital nomad because you are blessed to go and come and the job allows it. xoxoxo
Thank you so much! your prayers are greatly appreciated 🙏🏿
Love your skin is so beautiful
Thank you so much!! ✨
We got one question sis, it’s dang near May 2024: did he pulled through?! 😅
Hahaha He made a way! I still don't have a job but He has been providing my daily bread. Im just taking things day by day ✨
Hi nice too see you ur video i lived in mexico 14 years live here im in yucatán i would love to visit wya and see the city

That’s exciting! Thank you🙏🏿

Thank you 🙏🏿
I went to Mexico for the first time 2 weeks ago. I have spent so much money.
I have lived in European countries for less than $1000 for a month.
Condesa and Roma Norte is nyc prices.
If you can find a good grocery store that isn’t too far.
It's actually crazzzzyyy! Yes, I found a local grocery store and have been able to keep food costs pretty low 🙌🏿
what countries ? and was that staying in hostels?
Did your apartment come with furniture?
Yes it did!
I felt that 😂"loves to take his time.. loves too"
I look Dominican but I’m black/white only speak English I’m trying to move closer to home(riverside,ca) my job has an opening in California. Do you think I would make it out there? I would be able to drive back home that 3 hours whenever I want but far as culture would I be accepted? Would I have to worry about cartel or anything like that?
So you want to move to mexico city or California? I think you would be totally fine here in CDMX! The people are really warm and welcoming and I feel safer here than I do in many parts of the US
We love all comen more and enjoy the climate salute from Nayarit Mexico
Thank you
Yes I wanna end up in Mexico City but ima do playa first for this reason
Ive heard really good things about Playa!
Can you recommend a good English church in Mexico City
En Querétaro creo que las rentas son un poco más bajas por si consigues Home work , tendrías que ir a estados unidos y regresar con trabajo o conseguir por internet, espero haber ayudado, saludos
Gracias 🙏🏿
Hello! Thanks for the engaging vlog! I heard you say you are looking for remote work. I recommend looking up Libryia Jones's Quit Commuting Academy. She is known as the Remote Work Queen. I'm looking too! Take care and tell México City I will see her again soon.
Thank you so much for the tip! 🙏🏿
hiii, I have a friend who works at HBO Max and they do have a location in Mexico City and depending on the job it can be remote. I'd check them out! I'm new to your channel and maybe saw you were a software developer? or is that someone else lol. lmk tho if so, I think current employees can recommend ppl ❤ you have this. 🦋🌱
edit: that bread is special🎉 where I'm from in LA, you'll check if there's a little plastic baby in there and if there is you gotta cook tamal for everyone lol
This is so sweet, thank you for the lead! My background is in hardware and a little bit of software but I will look into it 🙏🏿
And yes! We were able to learn more about the tradition of the bread, very cool ✨
¡Hola!
What did he say ? When you translated also praying for you I’m in this same position now.Gonna have to troup it out in my car for now🚐.❤❤
Haha he said ustedes son grandotas
Im so sorry to hear it 😭 Will be praying for you as well, God will make a way 🙏🏿
That’s crazy these are US prices, apt should’ve been under 1k idk where yall looked. Also, the more Americans talk about how cheap it is it’s going up honestly.
It really is 😩
Love your content ❤
Thank you!! 🙏🏿
I’m in the exact same situation as you. But God is good.
He truly is and He's working something out!🙌🏿
Never move to an other country without set up a business or something else and your home town, you need a good budget plan
🙏🏿
That’s very pricey I pay about $250usd a month for a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom house but I’m in the middle class area
Thats crazyyyy!
Hey, how can your subscribers get in touch with you? can we book a consultation call with you?
Absolutely love & seeing and hearing how you’re so real about your love and dependability on Jesus..
It’s Sooooo refreshing watching everything you talk about
I tell everybody
That I would die without having His Living HolySpirit feeling me up with absolute truth and strength and inter Joy !!!!
I’m so proud of you !!!!!!!❤❤
Aw thank you so much!! this means alot ✨✨
Greetings Sis👋🏾
Maybe you could start a Hair Braiding Business since you have an extra room or Start a Beauty Supply Business in your home.
Hey girl! I've literally been dragging my feet on doing hair bc it's my least favorite thing ever lol 😫 but yes at a certain point, I have to do what I have to do
Be encouraged!
🙌👆🙌
Thank you so much! I believe it🙌🏿 He has shown himself to be faithful
Do you go to an English speaking church?
Yes I did when I was there! Called saddleback
Can you do remote online work?
That's exactly the kind of work I hope to find! 🤞🏿
Do you have any remote work available. I’m very much interested in
Love your vlog.❤ Have you thought about creating your own job. 1) teach / tutor English for $25 or whatever. Tourist are always looking for activities, you can teach them how to cook various dishes, or take people on walking tours for 👛
Thank you! These are great ideas 🙏🏿✨
When the guy at the rosca de reyes told you coman ustedes están grandotas he didn't mean that you ate fat what he meant was that you are tall and strong that you need to eat to stay that way
I see! Thank you for clarifying 🙏🏿
He would’ve said “gordas or gorditas/ rellenitas” if he meant fat
I live in Oaxaca and I pay 260-270 depending on the conversion rate. It’s 4600 pesos a month. All of my utilities are included. Here’s my bills if you want to move here

PlayStation plus - 16
Apple Music - 12
Netflix - 12
Food - 400
Transportation - 150~

You don’t need to live in Mexico City. It’s the LA or New York of Mexico. It pointless and expensive
Thank you for sharing!
God can work through people. Someone please hire this young lady with a good remote job.
Thank you 🙏🏿
Cute video. I would suggest trying to shop locally to support the Mexican locals.
Thank you 🙏🏿
I had a nice apartment on, Sevilla in Reforma.

Yes im still a citizen on the US, thank you for this!

New to channel! Girl please take your God givin' talent and monetize the crap out of it! Your bold, beautiful 😍 intelligent and naturally charming! Start a vlog series of all the does and don't moving and living in Mexico. How your Spanish is coming along. Someone like myself and many others who would love ❤️ or are thinking of moving to Mexico 🇲🇽 would benefit. I was always intimidated by Cdmx but you make it look great 👍 Godspeed my dear ❤️ and namaste! 🙏
Thank you so much!! This is very kind ✨ and will do!
It might help to add cooking videos to your channel. That might increase views to increase the monetize of your channel
Thanks for the suggestion!
Girl! Have you considered teaching English online? I recommend Preply or Italki.
Yes! I need to get started with one of those 😫
I'm Mexican, and I came to Mexico City to escape all the genocide in my state. Mexico City is not cheap. I'm here for safety reasons, but it is expensive.
Man I have 2 apartments in the Philippines and my rent is $50 USD a month
Thats crazy 😩

@@Tolu.Travels Thank you so much. I am marathon watching your videos. They are so well done and informative.
Such blind faith in religion. The lesson here is that you really have to work something out on your own because nothing is gonna fall out of the sky no matter how much you pray. That's just the reality of things.
Having faith in God hasn’t failed me yet! He’s come through EVERY time 🙌🏿 I pray you experience it one day, God bless✨
Girl you should teach English i like how clear and the good speed rate when you talk i am practicing my listening skills here with you❤
Oh im so glad! ✨ Ive thought about it but don't really see myself as a teacher
❤❤❤❤
Girl, let me tell you the problem that I personally think you're having.
You're still trying to live like an american in Mexico, where here you can find a lot of cheaper options in regards of food.
I just noticed that you cooked will all branded and wrapped up ingredients which is more expensive.
Try to look instead for "fruterias" nearby by, which is a local store that only sells fruits and vegetables. (It is cheaper than the market)
Also look for mexican meals like "huevos a la mexicana" o "picadillo" in youtube recipes.
If you have no job rn, use your time in a more frugal manner that way and you will save more money.
I'm a new mexican follower here, love your content and wish you the best.
Thank you for the advice 🙏🏿
Thank you for this, I understand. I'll be talking about it in my next vid
