I live in Morelia. We rent a beautiful nearly 4000 sq ft home, 3 bd/3 bath, in a very nice neighborhood. After 3 years, we're still only paying 8000 pesos per month ($400 USD)! $1300 USD is nuts!

Location, Location, location. Morelia is beautiful, but it doesn't offer, on the scale of CDMX. For better and for worse 😁

I've lived in Polanco for 12 months now. I love it here, yes it is pricey but still less than Los Angeles! And way prettier and nicer hands down. Considering moving to Puerto Vallarta, leaving for Guadalajara next month to see how I like that city. Utilities in Mexico City are very reasonable maybe 50 dollars maximum for two months. Way less than $300 per month in Los Angeles.

My husband and I just returned from.CDMX a few months ago. Probably our third or fourth time there. We.noticed during our last visit that the popular neighborhoods in the city have been overrun by digital nomads and other form of expats. They have driven up prices for housing, food, and other necessities while at the same time driven out locals who could afford to live in those neighborhoods. Neighborhoods like Condesa and Roma have lost their charm to gringo laptop slaves jonesing for available sidewalk cafe tables to squat on. CdMX was so much more interesting and enjoyable before it was discovered by transients. Cdmx is now much more expensive because of people like you. But as a world Alpha citype, it certainly less expensive than NYC or LA. We also went to Queretaro for a visit too. Loved it there, bit only a matter of time before gringo nomads ruin the vibe there too

Be nice be humble don't be a Karen, leave Karens behind please if you're looking for a fresh start then there's no room for Karens and friends, thanks for not wanting to change traditions, musical traditions, food traditions, festivities
And BTW you notice that there's a scarcity of water, so planning to get a private pool, not in Mexico please!

Maybe in the rural small towns of Texas if you own your place but certainly not the case in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and the like since 2018… things have gotten out of hand and no end in sight.
