I have not seen The Before Trilogy on any shelves so far in all of these stores. That's my fav Criterion of all time (and movies). Also "Paris, Texas" was one of the best blind buys that I have ever done. Knew nothing about it and ended up loving one scene so much that it became one of my favorite scenes of all time. And yes, Virgin Suicides is amazing. One of my fav coming of age movies.
Hey MC. Mildred Pierce is fantastic. I love all the early film versions of James M. Cains stories, Postman Always Rings Twice, Double Indemnity and Mildred Pierce terrific Noirs 👍 In Cold Blood is great too. The book a masterpiece.
Cure is an absolute masterpiece. I highly recommend watching Kurosawa’s 2006 film Retribution which also stars Koji Yakusho as the lead. It really feels like a successor to Cure and while not quite to Cure’s level, still a great time. Kurosawa in general is such a great director. Hopefully more of his films get English blus soon!
WOW that B&N store is amazing, wish I had one that big in my area. One of my local ones is a nice 2 story one that is very good sized with a good sized Criterion section. Your son is very cute, keep these Criterion videos coming!
The Passion of Joan of Arc is a must own for me top ten. If you're a music guy the scores are beautiful, the voices of light score and a new one by Adrian Utley from Portishead
Oh snaps Cure and Mildrid Pierce. I love Mildrid pierce so much if you loved Leave her to heaven you'll love Mildrid same dark noir vibe but not as dark as leave her to heaven
All B&N shops should strive to be this loaded with stock. Little Master's coat is awesome, btw :) Jellyfish Eyes was a fun one if you like Pokemon and stuff like that. I don't think it's a great film, but the family can watch and enjoy it.
Awesome video Master Chaos 💯 I want to get that Criterion Collection of Mulholland Drive what's your thoughts on that film ? keep up the great videos buddy 😎
That’s an amazing Criterion selection, I would spend $500. I’ve heard bad things about Jellyfish Eyes, let me us know what you thought about it in a video? With a child, I could understand purchasing it though.

Damn, I gotta check out Paris, Texas. I’ve had that “one scene” thing happen to me and it’s a marvelous feeling.
Hollywood 🎉
I like how the kid just grabs the titles like its candies and places it in his basket of goodies lol
Takes after his old man!
Daaaammmn! I stand corrected. “This” is where all the Criterion went! lol
Wait until the final episode! Oh boy!

Yeah, great book! Looking forward to spending time with Mildred.

Agreed! Will find that one.
“Hoop Dreams… not a big fan.” Never expected to hear that combination of words in my life 😂😂
It’s been years, maybe due for a rewatch, but didn’t leave an impression on me. Art IS subjective, you know.
Love the fireplace that is a vibe👌
It is indeed! It’s that time of year.

MC, thoughts on Bruce Lee’s movies coming to 4K?
Oh, I hadn’t heard! That great, but I won’t be upgrading.

Hanging in. Hope you’re well.
@@masterchaosofficial that's great MC bro I'm doing good to 🤗
Seriously. So much gushing over Inside Llewyn Davis, and it’s my least favorite Coen’s
Good music, but weak sauce in general.

What does that mean?
