This storyline is being done so well. I lost my dad to bowel cancer and I heard that Jennifer Metcalfe lost her dad to bowel cancer too. And coming from someone who has lost someone to bowel cancer, Jennifer's performance is so powerful and raw. I cried at the end when she was dancing, such a beautiful but heartbreaking scene.

Well done to Hollyoaks, for showing off a colostomy bag, thank you to them for showing that they’re nothing to be ashamed of, because I’m sure there will be a few people who are still afraid to show theirs off, my dad had a stoma bag and was quite conscious about it too, he had his bag because of Crohn’s disease not bowel cancer though

I had cancer and its the loneliest feeling ever even when you have loved ones around you. Jen is so amazing for this. Ye i cried at her dancing! One thing i dont agree with is dont tell her a drug might help if you cant get it for her or tell her where she can het it like another country or whatever so then she can maybe get a go fund me up to pay for it as i think that is cruel false hope

That was a very emotional scene... I've also lost loved ones to cancer (one of my aunties to colon cancer) and I know how much it costs to access different treatments (at least in my country), so this scene moved me a lot...
Just what you want to watch when you are having your dinner. And now another character has cancer . Hollyoaks is just relentless misery at the moment. What happened to the fun stories it used to have to counterbalance all the misery. And we all know what will happen. Some gangster nonsense to get Mercedes this miracle drug which will cure her (doesn't exist by the way).

Why in soaps whenever anyone had cancer they always give them the bald cap but still have their eyebrows and lashes… really annoys me, if you have chemo what causes hair loss it causes ALL hair loss not just your head.
Idk, but they could atleast just put make up over the eyebrows to make it appear their not there. As for the eyelashes idk if they can safely do anything about it tbh.

The thing is that had things worked out for Mercedes and Warren she would be away from her family and friends dealing with this right now so her still being in the village is one positive in all of this. When it comes to the music choice it's wonderful. Spain has always had significance to the McQueens. It's where the rest of her family are.. So to hear Spanish lyrics in a song I'm sure is overwhelming..but at the same time reminds her of the strength that they give her.. She is not alone in all of this..at the same time Mercy has always been one to hide away any of her pain.. Lets hope that this story will teach her to open up that little bit more.. Its a scene all about feeling alone and vulnerable but with the power of love you can find the spirit to keep fighting.. To keep a smile on your face.

Me? I'm laughing at a common there. That said that JJ. We're supposed to feel sorry for JJ. We're not the Butler gonna feel sort of just because he has cancer. No, he don't himself this institute because he thinks he's funny, but he's not and as for Frankie, you don't feel sorry about him dying because he's never been there for you don't feel sorry about him passing away me Mercedes is incredible. She done a justice and I am so sad to actually physically see her like only have a year left. It's just so heartbreaking me, I really hope that she actually gets the keymo that she needs and that it'll fix it because me. I've watched so many people over the year saying that they had cancer in everything and it almost killed them to the death and they actually beat cancers, but but I'm really hoping. That? Mercedes.

He should just go because I don't see no point of him being restoring that anymore. He needs to actually confess and stop acting like he has some some some some some more moral disease. I didn't even see the story that he actually had cancer. Let alone feeling dizzy and whatever might be a symptom of it, but like let's be honest JJ has nothing worth gratitude for grandfather. On the other hand is really disgraceful. The fact I was threatening him and trying to say confess complex, why is it going to confess not gonna confess anything? And as for Frankie, I feel sorry for her because she physically has to go to all this nonsense all over again as for Darren. I kind of feel bad for him. And you know so.
I actually think Hollyoaks has done the right thing. Fewer episodes, focusing on core characters (and talented actors), character development and actual long term impact of life events on those characters. Please no more 'issues-based' storylines and regular deaths

What the heck was that?! Are we all meant to feel sorry for JJ now that he's got leukemia?! Way to go from turning the only captivating storyline to the absolute mess that it is now that Frankie's trauma could potentially be pushed to the side or forgotten about now that the producers are focusing on JJ's cancer!
I'm not surprised, going from how they turned two abuse storylines to a murder mystery; like with JP and George, as well as with Romeo and Rayne. But still, I'm fuming! Congrats Hollyoaks for messing up another decent storyline.

I never thought I’d see the day Mercedes (my favourite character on the show) diagnosed with cancer. In all honesty given what we’ve just seen, wouldn’t it be great if the previous McQueens who left the show come back to offer her support; I’d love to see Jacqui, Myra or Michaela make a return.

Wow!! What a beautiful and sad thing to watch. So used to her playing the hopeless romantic, she's not had a powerful important storyline since Mercedes lost Gabriel. Jennifer always puts her heart and soul into the major storylines. I can't wait to watch it play out

@@ChelseyLinden The idea is that it's experimental so the UK doesn't have large amounts of it in stock, but its kind of ludicrous because a) the NHS would just special order it b) any drug trial would be ecstatic to have someone try their drug to prove its safety and efficacy.
