Trick Daddy was fine back in the day!! His catalog definitely should be talked about more. I was lucky enough to be around during the whole southern rap era in the early 2000’s in my college years. I believe once he got sick and wasn’t truly taking care of himself the way he should have, is a major reason why he’s not talked about enough for his legacy of music.
Plies’ made the mistake of dropping two albums in 2008. Da Realist should have dropped in 09 off the strength of his “Wasted” feature. Folks couldn’t stop talking about Plies’ verse on that song with Gucci. Plenty Money was a good song as well but again the timing wasn’t right.
I have been waiting for this moment. Trick Daddy is a good rapper during his peak. People don’t even talk about him at all or they never put him in their top 50 greatest rapper list. He has released 8 studio albums since 2009. I probably only listened to those first 7 albums and some of the songs from his last album. It’s hard to pick a favorite album from him because I like all of them. He has worked with Lil Jon, Too $hort, Scarface, Birdman, Lil Wayne, Trina, T.I., Betty Wright, Twista, Mystikal, Ying Yang Twins, Pitbull and many others. He is a hip hop legend who put Miami on the map for many years. The last thing we heard from him was he owns a restaurant called Sunday Eatery
