Great finds. You can definitely wash the wood tops on the jars, but I wouldn’t soak them. I’d remove the rubber rings too to clean underneath. The metal collar can also be removed if it would aid in the cleaning process.
You can clean the wood with vinegar & water. It will naturally disinfect the wood lids. I use glass jars for dry goods too. Always find them when I am thrifting! New subscriber here! 😊
You found some really good deals! Thrift stores in my area, have become very expensive; in fact, many times, I can find the items on sale in stores, brand new, at nearly the same cost the shops are charging. ❤️
Great finds! I love practical as well as the fun decor pieces too to thrift. Score in the shoes I have thous in black from TJ max so comfy, I work in them some too plus just for errands. The last few weeks I’ve love all my thrifted finds, lol.
Hi Kellie, This is a strange question. I noticed you have a wrought iron bed. I have been looking to buy one, but notice that many do not require a box spring. Do you have a box spring or just a mattress? Is it comfortable? Also, Little Women is my favorite book of all time. I am a good bit older than you at 62, but I think it is a timeless classic. The movie with Winona Ryder and Susan Sarandon I think is the most beautiful version. Truly enjoy your channel.
I love Halloween but I refused to spend big $s on my kids' costumes that would get worn once, maybe twice if they didn't outgrow and wanted to wear it two years in a row. When my kids were growing up I was a major garage sale and thrift store shopper. I found all, and I mean all, of my two kids' Halloween costumes at garage sales. From the time they were toddlers to middle school, and I spent several dollars per item. It ran the gamut from princess, lion, toddler jack o lantern, clown, ghoul, Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, and more. I shopped for my kids for all their needs at garage sales/thrift but one of my favorite uses of that market was for Halloween. Halloween should be laid-back, fun, and NOT expensive! IMO.
I have a brass bed which I would like black like yours. Did you paint your own bed, if so what type, color did you use. Ist time seeing your channel. .
Hi Debra, So glad you're here! Please subscribe and stick around! Actually I purchased the bed secondhand from FB Marketplace and it was already this color. I've not painted a bed before, so I can't speak to that. However, I would always recommend sanding and priming beforehand. Best of luck!

Thank you for the tips!
I'm very impressed! You got some excellent deals - at the same time they were well chosen. Excellent! 👍👍
Thank you!
I always loved Little Critter books for my kids/grandkids🥰
They really are so sweet!
Great finds Kelly! I love that you found the turtle costume and the shell separate! Happy weekend!! 🐢💚🐢💚🐢

The sneakers are so pretty and a great complement to your capsule wardrobe!

Man, I hate to hear that! My local thrift is very reasonable, but I have experienced what you're referencing from time to time!

Those shoes really have been so comfortable! Happy thrifting!
I LOVE the jars and your shoes. Awesome color! I haven’t let myself go thrifting recently because I don’t NEED anything 😉.
I’ve had to be much more selective, which I haven’t minded at all! This was complied over several weeks. 🙂

Love this! Both kids costumes were secondhand this year as well. So far I haven't bought one new yet!
