- Buckle up again everyone, we are stepping back into a role reversal, turning the microphone towards the man usually behind the scenes - show producer, Michael Shelton. I never know where these conversations are going to lead, since I am turning the questions over to Michael, a man with an internet search history that has likely landed him on a variety of watchlists.
We covered a substantial bit of ground, from online sales coaches, the "king" of stolen valor, thoughts on modern art, a man suing Twitch for excessive "self-care," why men have nipples, and much much more.
It was an odd journey, I hope you enjoy it.

I can speak to purpose... I spent 19 years in waiting for a war, signed up for every one that came down the pike and never got to go. Served in the Army from 1980 to 1999. Then they RIF'ed me to save money on retirement benefits. Over sixty now, and we have wars I could go to but now I am a liability on any battlefield. It truly sucks to not have the opportunity to use my training. Just my opinion. I wanted to do my part. I thank Andy for his respect for us because we wore the uniform and because we were here he was able to be there. Still would have liked to have done my part.
I joined in 99. Seeing a combat patch was such a rare event. After 9/11 I knew people who volunteered for Afghanistan and then Iraq because they were worried about missing out. Ironically.

@@jackkuehneman9300Maybe, but that wasn't why I joined. I still remember a time when people believed in things. It was long ago, and maybe on a planet far away, because I don't see it very much anymore.
Sometimes I worry we may never see it again.
@@snowroaches I tried getting back in when 9/11 happened. I spent a year but the Army flagged my file. I just couldn't keep up with the PT standards two years out. They also seemed less inclined to accept people with experience. Many of the people who I knew had been RIF'ed under Clinton tried to get in and couldn't. GAO saved a fortune in Veterans benefits preventing us from getting twenty year letters.
I heard many of these comments while in college 8 yrs after Vietnam.

It's not necessary classified, it's just a phone book thick amount of information you need to know to be successful at it. Like if you put it into a movie or tv show as a backstory for a character nobody would believe it.

I have direct interaction with Andy, they helped me in sales for free. Didn’t ask me for a thing called me everyday talked to me for at least an hour and it saved my life figuratively, being able to buy a house and have some confidence. Have face timed with him, all his stuff is ethical and just requires you to do better, train, and be better.
We need to see Michael participate at a boot camp that Andy is running. Since Andy is a qualified instructor.

With regard to wars that served our national interests, I can come up with a VERY small sample: The Revolutionary War, French & Indian War, Barbary Wars, WWII (if you ignore the idea that FDR knew Pearl Harbor was coming).
And I agree….Michael would be an S-4 POG best suited to the Air Force or Navy. But I’d still hang out with him in garrison

@any reader. There is one thing, Andy seems to be out of the loop on. Companies that are protected by law. Are being sued by people, for the results of the companies product being used illegally. 1st example. The gun companies of America. Case in point. The company that produced the AR they claimed was used, sued. Even though on live TV, the HRT pulled it from the trunk of the car.
Weird question. Who is controlling the camera during michael vs andy? Is Michael constantly flipping back and forth while talking? Saying things in his head "i need to switch camera to me nodding. Now back to Andy, now back to me". Totally worthless question but crossed my mind haha
There's cameras that can track voice and switch accordingly (you can often find these in conference rooms for webcalls etc). Or it might be they have 2 set up and then edit into a single video.
It would be cool to hear your take on Brent Tucker when he speaks about who did not shot Mr Bin Laden. It's a great episode they dropped at The Antihero Podcast.
