THIS IS REAL ppl... I live here in Cd. Juárez and is something real. In this month 50ppl have been murdered and most of them are women. And there's evidence/news that show that authorities are acually working with criminals (obviously not all of them). There is not that much what we can do. Right now im studying medicine and i go everyday at 6:45am to a hospital. Some guys and i have already created a team and everyday we wait in a parking which is about 200mt away from the hospital. All we do is waiting for the girls that also go to that hospital and walk with them so they dont walk alone from the parking to the hospital and around. They say that since we started doing this they feel more secure, most of them were afraid of walking all alone cus there are stories of students being atacked. actually last week a student recieved a bullet in the leg because someone was trying to take her and she defended her self, thanks god someone apeared and scared the atackers so nothing happned to the lady, except for the injure of her leg. This is sad :( We really need you ppl. Pray for us. Pray for Juárez (Sorry for the bad english :) )

Ugh. This women's story broke my heart. Hearing the hurt and pain in her voice broke me. Please dear fellow commenters be respectful and mindful of a fellow humans pain and loss..
This is actually terrible... i have a younger sister and I can't imagine losing her and finding out something so horrible happened to her. I wish more places would draw attention to this because I didnt have a clue
Joy Du I didn't know either but look at all the view this is getting and share this video it might seem very little but actually you are sharing a message that might save someone's life and we aren't born to know everything but as long as you continue to learn. Never feel bad for not knowing.
Bobbie_pin 2701 I would hope that things get better but my mom is mexican and is 46 and this has been happening in Juarez since she was a toddler. My aunt had a friend when they were teenagers and she was brutally murdered because of this.
I have to say this is probably one of the best videos BuzzFeed has made as of recent. It tells a story that nobody knows about and informs them completely.
Well they lived in Juarez, you know...the drug cartels safe haven where they kill peoples and display the mutilated bodies on the road. Its hardly a shock.
My friend was raped last year and she's only just opened up,the guy has not denied it and everyone's acting like it's her fault it makes me sick. his friends back him up and say "at least he got some" I confronted his friends about it and they just called me names I want to just slap him
Indiamay violence isn't an answer I know this upsets you but this will make you just as worse as them. Just keep in mind not all guys are bad and not all girls are good. You can only be there for you friends report this to the police (it may seem rude of me to suggest a female officer if possible but I feel like you can explain more easily) ok spread love

Sierra Miranda Yes, I feel completely the same. I feel like our humanity is slow decreasing. The end of the world might not come from a meteor, it might come from everyone killing other with hate and violence.🙏🏾😭😿
Random Kitty being the daughter of a migrant mother who came to the U.S from Mexico for a better life, hurts me so much seeing this kind of hate within immigrants, which their only thing is to seek for a better life..
Sierra Miranda. Unless they cross over to my city El Paso the city that borders Juarez. We try our best to help these women. The strength in the community of women here is strong. The rest of America needs to step up.
+Kaimin C. they don't pay taxes. they cross the border and demand benefits payed for by tax payers. if they're good people they should have the decency to come legally
inspecterty 1). Undocumented* immigrants pay 12 billions dollars of taxes each year. 2). Do you really think someone can become 'legal' just like that? Many of y'all wonder why all immigrants do not just come to the United States legally or simply “get in line” if they are unauthorized. These suggestions miss the point; there is no line available for unauthorized immigrants and the “regular channels” do not include them. The United States immigration is on a temporary or permanent basis and it is generally limited to three different routes... employment, family reunification, or humanitarian protection. I do say this tho, the U.S. immigration system is somewhat generous, each of these possibilities is highly regulated and subject to numerical limitations and eligibility requirements. Most unauthorized immigrants do not have the necessary family or employment relationships and often cannot access humanitarian protection.. :)
I am from Juárez, just moved to the United States almost 2 years ago, when I was 19 years old. I remember when femicide rates starting going alarmingly up, it was scary to go out, even if with people around, you will always be advised to keep a low profile so you wouldn't take the attention of someone unwanted. But that wasn't the worst of all. What I think was most terrifying about it, is that I remember being scared, but as the years went by and the homicides kept happening, I could feel myself grow indifferent towards it, because I knew nothing was going to change. I no longer felt scared, because I became accustomed to be alert all the time, it is a horrible thing to get used to stuff like this. Thank you BuzzFeed, for bringing attention towards this situation, from someone whose heart lives in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua.
@@manaclxud7453 the police get paid off by the cartels, joe Rogan talked about this, and god bless young lady❤️ i hope you live a beautiful life in the 🇺🇸 🙏🏽
Puilo Sadly, the government in Mexico is corrupted as hell. The country is basically ruled by drug cartels, murderers and extremely dangerous people. The government can say all they want about how they care about their citizens but will not do anything about it.
Puilo the Mexican government is hiding it. They are afraid of dangerous people with money. In the US there are drug dealers, but they aren't so big with that much money to control the government. But in Mexico there are Narcos, they makeup a just a tiny bit of the people, but there money makes them powerful. My mom was six months pregnant with me, knowing I was a girl. She moved from south Mexico to the us, and when I was about a year old hit her citizenship. This may not be the reason why she left, i use know she wanted a better life for me.
I live in Argentina and here every 20 hours a woman dies. There's a huge national movement called Ni Una Menos, created by artist, activists, journalists and people who are tired of the violence againts women. As the woman said this is a global problem and we have to fight for equallity, for security, for jutice to all the daughters, mothers, aunts, friends, sisters, wives who lost their lives for being just a woman.
dont care hi people going to say whatever they want it does not matter what you think not trying to be rude not trying to bother you it's just how people work you're right some of the comments are disgusting they're so gross you're so right but this is More gross they are not doing this for helping purposes there doing this so that they get more content
Ryann Jeanselme i didn't even know femicide was a thing until I watched this video. They might be trying to get more content but at least they're spreading the awareness.
Wow... this is insane... I'm having the topic mexico in spanish class right now and I have to show this to my teacher... this is insane. I feel deeply disgusted and ashamed of humanity. Why don't we all just go?
This is so infuriating, this is an issue that we need to put an end to, and people are commenting ridiculous comments, that are the top comments? That doesn't make any sense.
This is something we really need to talk about. Think 9 woman every single day are killed because of this. It disgusts me that some men think its ok to do this to women because of their gender. We need to put an end to this. Thank you buzzfeed for creating awareness on this topic. Sending prayers to all the families that have lost someone in their family because of this!
it's...terrifying. knowing that someone you love, someone you want to live with for the rest of your life, beats you, doesn't let you LIVE as a human being and, sadly it happens, kills you it's...horrific.
Chantal Riviera Why do people have to be so mean? Just why?!? I want to find someone who commits femicide and just ask them "Why must you kill innocents?" No matter what they answer, I'm sending them to the police.
you should still visit Ciudad Juarez, makes me sad that some people think we are so dangerous when that is not true at all,it depends the district you visit :(
Rachel Thompson tbh I'm surprised people didn't know about this. Almost everyone knows what's going on at my school. But it may be because the student body is made up of mostly hispanics...
Teal Glitter It was a movement for women to achieve equal opportunities between both sexes, but nowadays, they are talking about how air condition is sexist.
No, it stands for what women think they deserve. They want free, government funded abortions, and birth control. They want to win custody battles. They want to not be "objectified", but then walk out into the street topless. Feminism will lead to the collapse of Western Civilization. That's why traditional gender roles, and the patriarchy will keep us strong. Seriously, more traditional women are much happier on average than you disgusting freaks walking out in the street dressed like vaginas.
Its Mexicos problem not the US. Sorry its the bold truth. I mean I feel bad because its my kin but they have to stand up to the cartel, government and Zionists
Being from El Paso, this was an everyday thing. I would either hear about a girl's body being found or one going missing. Most of the time both. This is a very serious problem and my city being a sister city has seen more of it than any other US city. What happens to the women and girls is unimaginable. My mom used to tell me stories about how much fun she would have when she was younger. Crossing the border to go dancing. It is so sad and heartbreaking to see what these women and girls go through. This seriously needs to change and together we can make it happen.
For all of you commenting "omg, Mexico is horrible and unsafe" not all of Mexico or Mexicans are like this. Think about a town anywhere in the world that is unsafe... Does it represent the whole country?
I live in Mexico and I am very safe! Better than if I lived in the US. Yes, the government is very corrupt. I'm just saying 'please stop the generalizations'.
Thank you for speaking out about this and shedding a light on this issue as a young Mexican American woman living in Juarez's sister city El Paso Tx its absolutely Horrendous to hear all the stories of women and girls of all ages disappearing and being treated like they are disposable and for no reason other than the fact that they're women and the criminals know they can get away with it what makes it worse is that the government and people don't do anything because the government wants to keep being corrupt and the people are scared to speak out and the few that are activist are killed like Maricela Escobedo! if you really want to know about Femicide look up her case and see just how truly fucked up humanity is FLASH NEWS : This has been happening for YEARS since 1993 to be exact and it hasn't stopped sure it's calmed down a bit but it's starting up all over again. I have many friends and family members living in Juarez and luckily none of them have ever come close to anything like this but it's scary! whenever I go to Juarez and I see a picture of a missing girl I just think that could be me or a friend/family member and to think not many people outside Mexico and Border cities like the one I come from have the slightest idea of any of this just breaks my heart even more.
As a person who lives in El Paso, and I live very close to the border, I knew this was happening, and that women are not the only ones being killed, men and children as well, it's very sad:( and it's amazing to see how El Paso's name is getting out there! I saw many pictures and scenes of El Paso in this video. #ElPasoProud
I lived in Juarez 8 years ago I was in middle school all the walls where I used to walk from school to home where covered on posters of missing young girls , I don’t know how the hell me and my sisters made it out of there alive or without going missing, I hope I never go back to that place I love the city but it just got horrible, I’m now in Texas and I’m blessed to be alive (sorry for the bad English)
En México la justicia solo es para los ricos. In México the justice is just for rich people. This situation is derived of the "war" versus the drogs cartels. This situation is just overholmed for the goberment. Feels like it dosen't have end. We have a lot of corruption in our goverment but I know that litlle by litlle we can change this but i think that we need at least 50 years to change this. This isn't happen in all the contry, just in a few states but is terrible just hear the voice of a desperate mom...
I don't understand how so many people are hating on feminism :( do you not understand that feminism is going for both men and women? IT'S CALLED EQUAL RIGHTS!! it's not harming any men calm down ugh
I think it's not so much that they hate feminism, but that they resent the word "FEMINISM". a lot of people want equality but don't like the word, because many believe that it excludes people that are not female. I know this is not true and that actual feminism is about equal rights. but sadly a of people don't understand that and only focus on the word and never bother going past that misconception.
AngelicOblivion90 i agree instead of making all women equal to men per say or blacks equal to whites, or saying everyone is equal, we should say everyone is different and we should accept it and become humane with the idea of it
because it started with the suffragette movement(equal right to vote). men started to use the word feminism to call the movement because most people in the movement were female. Feminists didn't choose the term feminism, it was given to them by society. afterwards they just kept the term for identification.
This is so sad. That it's common all around the world. Hate to see this in Mexico. I'm happy that I where I live is doesn't happen but sad that other people are suffering from this.
i'm in tears, i'm glad buzzfeed is educating people on these issues as i've never heard these stories before. i hope these mothers get through this and a solution is found
I'm extremely scared of living in a society that just because you are born a woman, you'll be looked down upon. As someone who is fairly young (a teenager in high school) seeing other women suffer in their jobs or homes, being abused, etc, is just so terrifying to me and makes me want to almost escape the world we live in.
This has been going on for so long now. My husband's sister vanished in CD Juarez years ago. She was only 18. There is no hope, no light. As a matter of fact his family was threatened by police to stop looking for her/remains. They ran from their on country, in fear of been killed for simply wanting to find her body. This video truly hit home, thanks for bringing awareness to the situation.
I'm in tears. My mother is from Juarez. I'm so grateful she did what she did when she was younger so that me and my sisters wouldn't have to live that life. with so much pain and suffering.
How can society accept cruel and disturbing acts like this? I'm speaking as a 14 year old girl, and this disgusts me. Women are not objects. We are not to be taken advantage of. WE ARE ACTUAL HUMAN BEINGS WHO ARE ALIVE AND BREATHING AND HAVE THE RIGHT TO SPEAK OUR MINDS AND HAVE A SAY IN THIS WORLD🌎✊🏻💓
This is one of the only videos on RUclips that has made me cry. This poor mother... I hope that she finds peace. It's such a heartbreaking and hopeless situation when you lose your child...
I am a emotional person however I can hold my emotions back. But I couldn't.I cried because it's sad how these women are treated and can't find their own children with no one to help them.Don't you ever wish that all the bad thingg in the world were gone😰
we need more stories like these, the world needs to know the hardships, struggles, challenges that people face, we not only need to hear their stories, create awareness towards these issues but also contribute towards making the world a much safer place
Thank you, Daysha and Johanna from Buzzfeed for shedding light into this subject. The world can finally take a glance at the struggles and the terrors the women from Juarez have to go through. I hope that one day, we can find justice for these children, women and men. #Amorporjuarez
If a murder like this would happen in my country it would be all over the news and hundreds of people would go and search for the girl. I hope this mother will one day find an answer to her questions..
I have a 10yr old daughter myself and my mind can not even begin to comprehen the pain that this mother has experienced and is still experiencing from the loss of her beautiful daughter. Loosing a child is something that a parent can never recuparate from. I hope someday she finds the answers she's looking for.
I live here in Juarez, and yes it's all very true. Fearing for your little sisters lives, your moms, aunts, cousins, friends, peers, and yourself isn't a life style. It's disgusting how some men look at little girls or even yourself, you can try and do something but the governmemt is so freaking corrupt that chances are, you might be the one loosing. I would love for people to know more about these types of situations, not only here in Juárez, but the whole world. Human trafficking, child abuse, women's right violations. We need to be more aware about this than to have the newest IPhone or some other materialistic thing. Keep us and everyone else in your prayers. and please no hate in this comment.
I live in cd. Juarez and it is a very dangerous place, women can not go out alone because it is very probable that we get kidnapped. Shootings happen very often. It sucks
I visit Juarez almost every weekend and this has been my fear for years. It so sad that a place i love so much goes through this everyday! I pray for every single family who has gone through this, and hope nobody else does ..😪💔
It broke my heart when she said that she could feel that it wasn't her daughter in the coffin and it makes me think, who's daughter is? Whether it was her daughter in there or not it highlighted the epidemic that these poor women are dealing with. These videos are so important because they try to give the truth on the matter and actually interview these people, we need more videos like this.
As a girl with Mexican parents and her extended family living in Mexico, this really hit home. Ya'll have to realize that Mexico isn't like the US. You can't leave your phone in the car. You can't walk alone at night. You can't let go of your family in a public place. You can't leave your purse while you go to the bathroom. And that's in the safer places, like Mexico City. And even then, when, I go visit, if you eavesdrop on the adults, they'll be saying stuff like, "Ah, oíste de la hija de Ivette? Si, se la llevaron...que triste. Solo tenia 12 años." (Ah, did you hear about Ivette's daughter? Yes, they took her...how sad. She was only 12.) It's worse in smaller towns, which is why so many people have dogs. My mother gets so nervous in Mexico when she's not with my father, or another man, because of this. The fear that her own daughters, both under fifteen, will be r***d and killed just because they're girls. It's sad, really.
Cd. Juarez is the worst place to live in or even step a foot there. i lived there and had to scape because they kidnapped and raped my 12 year old sister😢 I feel so sorry so every woman that has to go thru this.
I'm very glad buzzfeed made this video. It was suprising to read how many people did not know abut this. My mom's family is originally from Juarez and El Paso. I lived in El Paso for several years and I had friends who would invite me to parties in Juarez. My mom never let me go because she was scared something like this could happen to me. When I learned of how family would go on foot searching through the desert for bones, I felt horrible. Imagine the grief and pain some of these people go through trying to find their loved ones bodies. There is so much that needs to be done to stop this from happening.
This is so heartbreaking! Thank you buzzfeed for shedding light on this tragedy that many people wouldn't have heard about otherwise. Please make more videos like this
Wow 😔 now this is the news that we need to hear about. These are the stories that are going to wake us up and bring us a human beings closer together, this is important not what new wig Kylie Jenner is wearing.
Thank you BuzzFeed for this video and for helping to educate so many people on this topic! It has happened to so many women in Mexico (and worldwide) & I thank you for helping give a voice to this problem because sadly many people don't even know about this devastating problem.
"I don't want anything else, I just want my daughter." Absolutely heartbreaking.

I’m still a little confused why isn’t the police doing anything?
@@manaclxud7453 because the police are part of it, in fact, a lot of them own strip clubs there, and they traffic women.

right ! i didnt know about this until this video
TYLER ARTIST the actual number is around 90,000, but that is beside the point. Are you only capable of activism for one issue?
"Maybe it's because whenever I was sick, she would always kiss my forehead.". This made me tear up.
I hope the government will step up and do something about this.
Puilo you know they won't....
Unfortunately the government hasn't done anything in years, they just look the other way and pretend that nothing is happening
Puilo the sad thing is that Mexico is corrupt... all we have really is hope that they will do something.
this makes me so sad.. the government sucks in Mexico. i pray for the best for my people..

Unfortunately this is the daily life of every Mexican woman, at first it was in Ciudad Juárez now its all over the country
amir ali Good what?
I live in Argentina and here every 20 hours a woman dies.
There's a huge national movement called Ni Una Menos, created by artist, activists, journalists and people who are tired of the violence againts women. As the woman said this is a global problem and we have to fight for equallity, for security, for jutice to all the daughters, mothers, aunts, friends, sisters, wives who lost their lives for being just a woman.
Milenka PB I went to Buenos Aires to visit my family, and got attacked at night.
Thats pretty low, only one? Or do you mean by homicide.
The comment section disgust me. You have people commenting for likes and attention instead of soaking in how dire this situation is.
I agree but the funny thing is that ur channel says "don't care"😂
dont care hi people going to say whatever they want it does not matter what you think not trying to be rude not trying to bother you it's just how people work you're right some of the comments are disgusting they're so gross you're so right but this is More gross they are not doing this for helping purposes there doing this so that they get more content
dont care Even if people would let it sink in, it wouldnt change anything more than making some people sad, so there is no point
Ryann Jeanselme i didn't even know femicide was a thing until I watched this video. They might be trying to get more content but at least they're spreading the awareness.
dont care well yeah, but i still stand by my point
Wow... this is insane... I'm having the topic mexico in spanish class right now and I have to show this to my teacher... this is insane. I feel deeply disgusted and ashamed of humanity. Why don't we all just go?

Attention all guys of every nationality:. If you truly love your women, start treating them better!
This is something we really need to talk about. Think 9 woman every single day are killed because of this. It disgusts me that some men think its ok to do this to women because of their gender. We need to put an end to this. Thank you buzzfeed for creating awareness on this topic. Sending prayers to all the families that have lost someone in their family because of this!

send this video to every person who I have heard say: "We don't need feminism anymore"
Rackel Mackin so true, feminism gives power to women, power makes women stroger and independent, feminism can save your life.
New Name Feminism give power to everyone, not just women. Everyone benefits in the end when everyone is equal and respected.
Random Kitty THAT'S LITERALLY WHAT FEMINISM STANDS FOR. IT STAND FOR EQUALITY.
The fact that we aren't talking about this is horrifying.
Its Mexicos problem not the US. Sorry its the bold truth. I mean I feel bad because its my kin but they have to stand up to the cartel, government and Zionists

This video is so informative, and makes you want to get up and help. BuzzFeed please post more videos like this. This video was amazing.
My moms aunt lives there, if this ever happened to her a would be heart broken. Watching this makes me sad and disgusted, along with these comments.
Gosh this really did get the tears rolling 🙏🏻😭
For all of you commenting "omg, Mexico is horrible and unsafe" not all of Mexico or Mexicans are like this. Think about a town anywhere in the world that is unsafe... Does it represent the whole country?
Mexico is pretty unsafe as someone from mexico I can say the economy sucks and the police do nothing. The government only helps the rich
Angely Martinez I couldn't have said it better myself

Timmy Marquez I was looking for an El Paso comment!! Yay EL PASO PROUD

#ElPasoProud. Sadly, we don't do anything to help this, despite our closeness to Mexico.

I almost cried at the end, such a horrible issue
I don't understand how so many people are hating on feminism :( do you not understand that feminism is going for both men and women? IT'S CALLED EQUAL RIGHTS!! it's not harming any men calm down ugh
I think it's not so much that they hate feminism, but that they resent the word "FEMINISM". a lot of people want equality but don't like the word, because many believe that it excludes people that are not female. I know this is not true and that actual feminism is about equal rights. but sadly a of people don't understand that and only focus on the word and never bother going past that misconception.
AngelicOblivion90 i agree instead of making all women equal to men per say or blacks equal to whites, or saying everyone is equal, we should say everyone is different and we should accept it and become humane with the idea of it
I don't like feminism because i want equal rights for Woman and Men not just woman.
because it started with the suffragette movement(equal right to vote). men started to use the word feminism to call the movement because most people in the movement were female. Feminists didn't choose the term feminism, it was given to them by society. afterwards they just kept the term for identification.
Becks N it's for equal rights bc women are not getting the equal rights as men so they are fighting for women lol does that make sense lmaooo
This needs to go viral, this is so important
wtaf is wrong with people in the comment section . this is a serious situation/topic and all you guys want is likes and attention 😑😑😑😓😒
Because their Mexicans sadly people look down on us idk why
This is so sad. That it's common all around the world. Hate to see this in Mexico. I'm happy that I where I live is doesn't happen but sad that other people are suffering from this.
i'm in tears, i'm glad buzzfeed is educating people on these issues as i've never heard these stories before. i hope these mothers get through this and a solution is found
This is so heartbreaking
The Gaming God I know people who migrate legally

J Waker because they hate women.
Thank you, Daysha and Johanna from Buzzfeed for shedding light into this subject.

Sadly the Mexican government is extremely corrupt and the county itself is almost being run by the cartels.
I have a 10yr old daughter myself and my mind can not even begin to comprehen the pain that this mother has experienced and is still experiencing from the loss of her beautiful daughter. Loosing a child is something that a parent can never recuparate from. I hope someday she finds the answers she's looking for.

R.I.P everyone that has lost loved ones due to this. This is a very very serious problem and must be solved.
Keep us and everyone else in your prayers. and please no hate in this comment.
i love fun buzzfeed videos but i also appreciate serious videos such as this. i hope for more similar uploads

Thanks for the video buzzfeed. Keep up the good work! ❤️
Now, THIS is good use of a big platform. Thank you, Buzzfeed!!
Watch the movie BorderTown with Jennifer Lopez for an in depth more extensive information on this. It seriously breaks my heart.
It's sad, really.
this is really sad and I was raised in Mexico but how come I didn't know this
thank u for making this video!!!
Cd. Juarez is the worst place to live in or even step a foot there.
i lived there and had to scape because they kidnapped and raped my 12 year old sister😢 I feel so sorry so every woman that has to go thru this.
yurygomezlove Im sorry this happened to your sister...did youever find her?
I'm very glad buzzfeed made this video. It was suprising to read how many people did not know abut this. My mom's family is originally from Juarez and El Paso. I lived in El Paso for several years and I had friends who would invite me to parties in Juarez. My mom never let me go because she was scared something like this could happen to me. When I learned of how family would go on foot searching through the desert for bones, I felt horrible. Imagine the grief and pain some of these people go through trying to find their loved ones bodies. There is so much that needs to be done to stop this from happening.
Human rights watch where you at?
This is so heartbreaking! Thank you buzzfeed for shedding light on this tragedy that many people wouldn't have heard about otherwise. Please make more videos like this
