I wanna see the elephant rifle versus the body armor that managed to stop it, but attached to a gel torso with simulated organs just to see what kind of force would still be absorbed by a person on impact despite the lack of penetration.
I’d love to see that

You would still be taking ~8,000 Joules of raw force (to put it in perspective, a .45 ACP is about 450-580 joules, depending on specs).... this elephant slayer would probably just make an internal organ pinata on a human with armor capable of stopping it but hey, at least it didn't penetrate. Tbh, I think with something like that, I would rather it penetrate and just send me to the next world instantly rather than bleed to death after taking the equivalent of a Ram 1500 barreling you over the windshield at around 50 mph
5:35.., you can see the round exit out of the rear, strike the sleepers and flip a short distance off to the right of the table.
Andy, I seen that same thing, and I thought Scott would have caught that on the slow-mo replay. I agree, it was the bullet!!!
Maybe...lol.

I used to have a Winchester Model 70 in .458wm. I'd read about them in magazines and I wanted to experience it first hand. It is the most awesome weapon I've ever fired! I can fully understand your groans shooting in a T-shirt. I used 510gr. FMJ rounds and ran it though a velocity checker. Muzzle Velocity was 2200fps and I've read that the recoil is around 4000 pounds per square inch. Quite a wallop to you shoulder! Your rifle looks a lot lighter than the Model 70. I'm an old man now and I don't think my shoulder and back could take repeated rounds with this Galaxy Marauder!
5:36 mark, The third shot: you can see the slow motion, it bounces off of the crosstie and lands right beside the table on the right side about the middle. Looks fully in tact.

On that first shot, the middle gel collapsed back on itself so fast it ignited something in there. There's a single frame around 2:54 where you can see it. Take note, on the texture of the ballistic gel (tough, but flexible). Notice the shape of the projectile when he retrieved it from the relatively soft gel. The bullet is completely deformed and has sustained very obvious damage and deterioration. Remember that the next time that the media broadcasts a cockamamie story about a bullet that went through a wall and into someone's shoulder. The surgeons pull the bullet out, show it on the evening news and it is always in MINT condition. Remember because more than half the time the media insults your intelligence and tries to tell you that something physically impossible happens with these legendary bullets that never get a scratch on them.
