First shot probably damaged the intakemainfold which causes the car run in limiter

First shot put a hole in the intake,
Second shot took out the coil,
Third shot took out the valve.
Judging by the sounds that were coming from it, that's a good observation.

@@v8foraheart884 1st shot, putting a hole in the intake causes it to suck in more air, so it has the same effect as giving it more throttle and thus the increase in revs.

If the 2nd shot took out the coil, that would explain the very uneven running that happened after (no ignition to a lot of cylinders)
3rd shot taking out the valves for 1 or more of the very few remaining cylinders would mean the engine doesn't have the push to keep running anymore.
@@Yakovlev_Norris a crimped fuel line could also cause a vehicle to run “unevenly” as you say, also a a shot fuel injector could do the same. A piece of the intake could’ve gotten into the valve/piston and cause the stall. I was just making a joke because it was all clearly stated in the video
@@v8foraheart884 judging by the damage i don't think any fuel line got crimped it may have got cut in half but not crimped
Private range - check. Controlled environment - check. Trained professional - ummm... Takes one shot to bring down an elephant, but 3 to stop a Honda. And the first 2 shots sounded like they pissed it off.
One shot would have done it if he aimed 3" lower.

Would've like to see the damage one of those tungsten sabot 50 cal rounds would have done. It destroyed those atlas balls pretty good.

No it's not. It took 3 pops to drop a sickly elderly one.
The car may look destroyed, But the body and chassis isn't in a terribly bad condition, So it can probably be fixed in less than 4-5 months, The most important one is finding a similar engine to the 3.0 Litre VTec

First round must have damaged the intake causing a vacuum leak. That let the engine rev uncontrollably.

A lot of times for these types of demonstrations it's a car that was never going to be road-worthy again anyway. You can get one from a junkyard really cheap. Cars that have been flooded especially will be forever uninsurable (by law, in most places) and therefore only good for scrap parts. Used to be an insurance appraiser, and if a car was flooded to the dash it's only metal, have to write it off as a loss completely, the electronics will never work right again. The car ran as you can see but wouldn't surprise me if none of the dash worked at all.
I mean I get it, sad to see a once great beast in its last gasp, but might as well go to a good cause, education. :)
Sell that to a dealership as “lightly used” I can’t wait for the owner’s reaction.
