  • Oreilly's Part Number ES70745
    www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/det...
This part is intended for 94 and below models but the tubes are the same size. This is a semi advanced install and honestly the best thing to do is to buy the new cover from the dealership. That being said, Fuck that, that's too expensive.
You're watching me do this for the first time and it turned out fine. no leaks. Just make sure not to take off too much plastic and that the fit is not too loose. The RTV will do a good job keeping out the oil and bonding the new gaskets in place. Good luck!

I know this video is old, but for whoever is watching now... He installed the seal backwards! The flat part goes towards the valve cover. The open part with the spring goes towards the engine. Use silicone around and around the spark plug tube.

Usually the spring goes towards the oil side yes. Not in this case however because it be very hard it instal. The oem one spring side is to valve cover

And make sure you also replace the "PCV valve" that (sometimes) causes the leak.
I believe the PCV valve is about 2 inches away from his right hand at minute 0:16 of the video.

Good shit dawgy! I was so lost and felt like a dummy in front of the customer when I stood there not knowing what to do because new parts didn't seem right when I looked at the cover. So thanks.

yeah Vincent, no issues with the orilley part. it sits flush with everything and the rtv makes a good strong leak free seal.

I actually used a Forstner bit 1 7/8 then reameded with the dremel bit to 49mm the holes were perfect. the Forstner cuts and lifts all the material perfectly including the fiberboard oil deflector.. just be careful how deep you go.

oh man i need to look around for that part number... it wasn't a big deal to do it myself, and i had the added benefit of getting it done same day. it is a bit of work expanding the hole though. overall, it ate up like 3 hours off and on

Grateful if you will please tell me whether the the Injector Nozzles for Nissan Sunny B15 - 1.5 cc engine and 1.6 cc engine are the same or different? Please also be kind enough to give me the correct number of the 1.5 cc engine Inject Nozzle Number. Tks.

go to a junk yard and get a 91 valve cover and those are replicable... You'll spend a few bucks but in the end when you want to replace the seals it will be much better.

It’s been a while, but I remember them being philips head screws. Just hand tighten. Nothing too crazy, but firm.

Hello Guillermo, yes, this will correct the issue along with a replacement valve cover gasket. You’re best option is to pay the extra money and get the replacement valve cover as a whole. This process was never intended for the part. I only did it because I was super low on funds.

i would suggest to everyone that need to change valve covere gasket, just change the main gasket around the valve cover, dont touch gaskets around the tubes because they are not designed to be replaced ,if you try, you will notice they are plastic material with some kind of ring inside . So if you have leaky tubes best thing to do is find used valve cover or buy aftermarket part.

If you are a chicken to do this job then buy a New valve cover Nothing to loose on this trial and its simple modifocation and if it fail then you have to buy a New one cause your seal will leak but if its sucess you are the winner

Can i use a knife, a very sharp one?

    • @SirFishouse
      @SirFishouse  Год назад +1

You can, but that’s some tough stuff. The original forum that showed me how to do this had said they used a box cutter or x-acto knife. Worst case scenario, if you break the baffle, you’re supposed to replace the valve cover anyway.
