That’s an FRFR monitor. It’s fine. If that’s your monitor that’s your monitor. You shouldn’t be expecting the gear to “play well” with your budget monitor.
To be honest, Guitar World's reviews have sounded like paid promotions for a number of years now. However, you do get to find out what features a device has and can hear how it sounds. Of course, you have to take into consideration he's a great player and using the best guitar and amp/speakers with it as well.
@SuperGuitarDude7 dude my nux might plug sounds unreal with choptones stuff loaded on it. Running through 2 ($250 for the pair) Mackie monitors. The sound is unreal from the new white box modeling AI they use. I paid 120 for the plug headphone amp. 40 bucks on different patches and IRs. It sounded amazing from nux as well with their basic patches. It fits in my hand. Technology is unreal.
Despite many hardware improvements and new effects and ability to move blocks, MG 300 still sounds better .. not just the amps, but all the modulations, reverb and delays .
How can that be possible? It’s hardware and software… I doubt the hardware changed for the worse, and it’s mostly the software that’s making these sounds…
I sold the previous one and bought this. 400 is way better in terms of functionality. Sound wise its also an improvement and you get a lot more options and features to fiddle. So I'm not sure how you measurer the sound quality but for my ear, this beats the 300.
Thank you for this video. Can you control volume using the expressional pedal?
Amazing review! Thank you, this really did help a lot.
Ciao, ho una domanda da farti.
È meglio l'MG 30 ol'MG 400??
Me gusta mucho sus sonidos, gracias por el video, saludos desde España :)
couldn't find the pitch shifter on this model
Yea that my main issue with it. Other than that, it’s great.
Man, this thing is awesome! If I weren’t so whipped on Fractal… I dunno.. I may buy one anyway!
Amazing review 👏
It's a great modelling pedal love it. Can you change name and create scenes without connecting to PC?
Can you use it as an input for pro tools ?
Yes. It connects to the PC via a nice robust USB-C interface
Would the mg-400 sound good thru an Alto ts-310? I just got mine and I’m mine and I’m on a very limited, so what do you think????

no matter what is my mode at pedal. its always controls the volume. even when im am on wha.
what im doing wrong?
push hard on the top of the pedal to activate the pedal fx (or it will still control the volume)
Has whammy effect?
In this pedalboard can I use 2 or 3 Dist or Overdrives in the same preset? like in the mg30?
No
Yes you can this dudes a dumbass you can stack 2
How much price nux mg 400
is this a review or a paid promotion ?
Yes.

When has guitar world not been a business? They are literally I. Business to promote stuff. How are you weirdos surprised at this
@@fatherfreedom1946exactly. Not sure why these guys are concerned about this being a paid promotion.
I actually looked at this as a demonstration.

IMHO the USB-C interface alone makes the MG-400 a worthwhile upgrade. Far more robust and reliable.
Very surprising that MG 400 doesn't have a wah singnal block nor pictch shift effect like mg300 did
It does
i made a PIPE ORGAN preset for this pedal if anyone interested :)
If it only has UP and DOWN foot switches to select presets, it doesn't belong anywhere near a stage.
No peavey 5150 or evh that sucks... think I'll pass
