WOW!!! After 52 years, I finally got to watch this episode of TWIPF. I was 8 y.o. when this aired. My dad or even my brother didn't watch football or any sports. I somehow got interested in football. I remember clearly, turning on the TV to channel 7 KRCR ( we only had 3 stations ) to watch TWIPF. My dad came into the living room, and promptly turned to channel 12 KHSL to watch Hee Haw! Lol. Four days later on Oct 27th, I wrote about it in my diary, which I still have. hahaha!!
Summerall should have identified Philadelphia's # 43 before mentioning Oakland's # 43 George Atkinson, who ended up with the football, taking it the other way.
WTF was Landry thinking sending straight on kicking scrub Mike Clark out to try a 50 yard FG? Mike Clark couldn't even kick a ball 50 yards, much less put it through the uprights.
Clark wasn't a scrub. He was the Cowboys Kicker since 1968. And 50 yards was in his range. Clark as things did turn out was the last of the Cowboys straight on kickers though. Tony Fritcsh was a rookie in '71. But he would get hurt late. Clark would finish the Championship season.
Snead was ruined by too many awful Eagles O-lines. Surrounded by ineptitude, he was running for his life as much as Archie Manning or David Carr ever was.

Cool memory
I was about the same age. TWIPF was my favorite show but often hard to find.
GREAT FILMING!
Great music
Love your channel wonderful memories 😅
Thank you for your upload... I like the history games
This is pre NFL RedZone.. but better. Would've love to see the commercials back then
10:05 Rich Kotite takin a shot out of bounds...lol. blew up..
Those blue Cowboys jerseys strike again!
Yeah they didn't do very well wearing those😅...but those unis were sharp.
43:16 im sure getting a lung full of that chalk dust was okey dokey. Im sure it wasn't made with chemicals that could kill you...🙄😉
The Jets finally had a home game after 4 on the road to open the season
Guess the Mets had Shea Stadium booked in hopes of making the post-season!
The schedules were weird back then. Teams often spent more than a month on the road before coming home

Lmao ..he was short 30 yards....I mean, it looked like he kicked a cement block...😅😅
Norm Snead and Pete Beathard, a couple of bum QBs who were just good enough to keep getting a job while not coming close to winning anything.
Snead was a journeyman, played a long time as a mostly mediocre starter. Beathard was garbage especially as a top 5 pick. ouch.

@@arise2945the tape says he was better than Manning imo.
I love your channel.
