Using ADDRESS function, you’ll be able to return cell reference in different ways, like absolute reference, relative reference, absolute row relative column or even absolute column relative rows.
Let’s learn how to use ADDRESS formula in excel.
The Function looks like this = ADDRESS (Row Number, Column Number, ABS Number, A1, Sheet Text)
The ADDRESS function has Five arguments or parameters.
1. Row Number: This is where you provide row number. You’ll have to provide numeric value here. This is a mandatory parameter.
2. Column Number: In this parameter, you’ll need to provide column number in numeric value. This is also a mandatory parameter.
3. ABS Number: Here you can specify how you want the cell reference. You can add absolute reference, relative reference, absolute row relative column or even absolute column relative rows.
4. A1: This is where you need to specify the address reference style. There are two option here R1C1 Style and A1 Style.
