    Great video, My rear mount was the same way and previous owner had like 15 washers on a snapped bolt. Thank you for the guidance!

    Shifted into 2nd and broke the same bolt on the 3rd ride. I wish I watched this video before trying it on my own.

    Did you upgrade it to a stronger bolt but the same size because I noticed you didn’t drill anything out so I’m assuming you didn’t go with the three eights?

    • @JamesOnWheels
      @JamesOnWheels  Год назад +4

      Yeah I upgraded to a stronger bolt grade 8 m8 1.25x120mm you can find it at Lowe’s it’s exactly the same size. I’m actually out test riding it right now and it got rid most of the vibrations too

      @@JamesOnWheels so when you try to shake the engine does it have any play in it ?

    • @JamesOnWheels
      @JamesOnWheels  Год назад +5

      @@desertwolfarmory nope, with the stock bolts the engine would move when I’m revving it, but with these new ones, the engine does not move, even when your near redline. I just came back from a 50 mile test ride and I can say it feels pretty SOLID

    The mount u bolted next to the sprocket, how close does it get to the sprocket? I’m afraid my 17t will hit it if I were to install it the same way u did

    • @JamesOnWheels
      @JamesOnWheels  Год назад +2

      It doesn’t hit at all. Ever since I replaced it I have put 1000 miles on the bikes and the bolt has not broken off or caused any issues touching the sprocket

      @@JamesOnWheels did u end up putting the sprocket cover back on? Hella ppl tell me that the chain hits the cover and to grind off an inch or so for the chain to clear so I’ve kept it off since the install. Appreciate u bro.

      I grinded off my sprocket cover and also since then you should go with a 16 teeth more torque and you still have top end

    I've broke the stock lower bolt, and replaced it, later upgrading(drilling out) to a larger bolt. Have had any problems torquing to 40?

      Nope i looked up what the grom specifications were and it’s between 35-40 but I haven’t had an issue, 1500 miles later and it’s still holding on Pretty good
