With the 5.0 update it plays FLAC files. I also got it to run on a lithium battery pack. So yes, standalone. 👍🏽

How can i update my controller

@@atakan400 hi, you have to update in stages. Find firmware version 4:0 first, then 5:0. Find and empty USB drive, load it with firmware, put it in the controller, then switch it on. I think after that it starts, in the firmware there's instructions included, read it first then go ahead with the update. Cheers

Hey I have a question. What does the device need to produce audio? Can I just have my headphones in or do i need a soundcard/audio interface

@@jtrskaos connect it to the back. If you want to get creative, with a soldering iron melt away a section of the compartment underneath so you can hide the battery inside. My battery is a lithium ion 12.6 to 10.8 VDC. 6800mha. Get a bigger capacity mha for longer life. Pity I can't post photos. Cheers

yes, it does.. in the browser music has the option to find your music by artist, album, BPM, time, song even your sessions, it has a playlist that u can create it on itunes too,so its very cool 4 USB ports (awesome) for external USB storage device, flash drive or Keyboard for browse in your music quickly, now has a new update that is very important, now is more fast and smooth like before, beatgrid software (for large and heavy library music to analyze) Hot Cues,Its a great All-in-one controller

Turntables are can run you $500 to $600 without the needles. That's another $160. No way is the price near the same money. But you are right about the scratching. The NS7 is the best srcatch middi(I think).

This is an AWESOME MIX!! im considering getting this Piece of Gear but I have Questions: Has the SCS ever Froze on you during a live performance? Have you used it live doing a Real Party? When you switch between songs is the Software in this unit slow? Does it Take a longer time searching for tracks? And finally: Since Im a Scratch Dj, How great are the platters for scratching? I heard the SCS has a Tempo drift when you scratch that knocks the BPM off. Is that true? Any Advice is appreciated
