Hi @that1mikey, Thanks for reaching out! One thing to understand, the brake bite for roadies in general is not as strong as a MTB, which means that braking distance for any roadie is more than a MTB. That being said brakes on AL2 Gen4 are good, reliable and durable. Works fine in dry as well as rainy conditions. I wouldn’t complain about the brake performance. Hope that helps! Happy riding.
Hi. Could you tell me how you find the Shimano Claris system? I'm specifically interested in the pedaling. Are there any unusual sounds or friction? I bought one, and when I press hard on the right pedal to accelerate, I hear some unusual noise. The official dealer claimed that this is an issue with all Domane models since it's an entry-level bike. How about yours? Very tnx for answering!
Hi. Thank you for your comment. I think Claris is doing it’s job pretty well . I have been riding the bike almost daily, and never came across any hassle as such neither any noise. As any other machine, new bikes take some time to tune, it’s like breaking fresh pair of shoes. Happy Riding. Cheers !
Hey, I'm curious if hydraulic brakes are popular, available, and easy to find service for in your part of the world. I find Sora's performance to be fine, but I think I'd skip the AL 3 and jump to the AL 4 for Tiagra and better brakes.
Hey @johnhickey4570 ! Thanks for reaching out. Yeap, Hydraulic brakes are pretty popular out here in India. But again everything narrows down to the money you’re putting in. AL4 is definitely a good choice and a worthy upgrade to AL2. Happy riding ! Cheers
Great review! Well spoken!
Your honesty and detail are super valuable. Keep shining your passion for cycling, and I look forward to more content!
Thanks for your kind words. Means a lot 🙂
Fantastic review. Can you tell me what the brakes are like. I am getting this bike this coming Thursday and a little skeptical of mechanical brakes.

What kind of pedals you use
Hi.. I use the stock pedals which comes with the bike. Kinda sceptic of my ability to use cleats !
40km/h is sooo fast i neer hit those tbh
With consistent training and rides, you should be able to achieve that. Cheers !
how much it cost ?
It costs $1199 USD or ₹99000 INR.
@@livelovecycle damn, its certainly costly but looks good. , do you have reviews on scott bikes ?
