    Fantastic review. Can you tell me what the brakes are like. I am getting this bike this coming Thursday and a little skeptical of mechanical brakes.

    • @livelovecycle
      @livelovecycle 2 месяца назад

      Hi @that1mikey, Thanks for reaching out! One thing to understand, the brake bite for roadies in general is not as strong as a MTB, which means that braking distance for any roadie is more than a MTB. That being said brakes on AL2 Gen4 are good, reliable and durable. Works fine in dry as well as rainy conditions. I wouldn’t complain about the brake performance. Hope that helps! Happy riding.

    I have the same bike. The only thing is I don’t know how much air to put in the tires. It says max 75 psi

    • @livelovecycle
      @livelovecycle 2 месяца назад

      Hi, Thanks for reaching out. Well the suggested air pressure in most of the road bikes is around 90-110psi, but as AL2 Gen4 comes with a broader tyre profile, so if you’re planning to ride on good roads while maintaining good speed tyre pressure of 90 psi is a sweet spot. In case you’re planning for a gravel trail , 75psi should give you a much confident and comfortable ride. Again along with ride style and road, rider’s build also plays a crucial role in pressure determination, so play around and find what fits best to you. Cheers !

      @KrowTheSavage 2 месяца назад

      @@livelovecycle thanks for the reply and info , i really appreciate it. I’ll be adding 90psi to see if it’s good 👍 so it doesn’t matter if the max psi is 70 and I add 90 psi ? Just curious 🧐

    Hi. Could you tell me how you find the Shimano Claris system? I'm specifically interested in the pedaling. Are there any unusual sounds or friction? I bought one, and when I press hard on the right pedal to accelerate, I hear some unusual noise. The official dealer claimed that this is an issue with all Domane models since it's an entry-level bike. How about yours? Very tnx for answering!

    • @livelovecycle
      @livelovecycle 3 месяца назад

      Hi. Thank you for your comment. I think Claris is doing it’s job pretty well . I have been riding the bike almost daily, and never came across any hassle as such neither any noise. As any other machine, new bikes take some time to tune, it’s like breaking fresh pair of shoes. Happy Riding. Cheers !

    This is Gravel or Road bike ? Or something middle of those. btw 10,5kg is too much for "road bike" most of entry levels of road bike weight 9kg so this bike is more like Gravel. hm.. I add this bike to wishlist and buy it when price drop.

    • @livelovecycle
      @livelovecycle 6 месяцев назад

      Hi.. I would say Trek Domane AL2 Gen4 is a versatile bike fit for tarmac roads and can handle gravel as well. I completely agree that entry level road bikes do weigh around 9kgs, but most of them comes will narrower tyre profiles and rim brakes, where they cut huge chunk of weight. All the best !

    Hey, I'm curious if hydraulic brakes are popular, available, and easy to find service for in your part of the world. I find Sora's performance to be fine, but I think I'd skip the AL 3 and jump to the AL 4 for Tiagra and better brakes.

    • @livelovecycle

      Hey @johnhickey4570 ! Thanks for reaching out. Yeap, Hydraulic brakes are pretty popular out here in India. But again everything narrows down to the money you’re putting in. AL4 is definitely a good choice and a worthy upgrade to AL2. Happy riding ! Cheers
