This song has haunted my brain for the last ten years. I knew there was a video made for it but that's all I could ever remember. Thank You! Now I can finally get a good night's sleep.
I'm going to have to admit it, I am 47 I have listened to Alt, Indy, pump, classic, every kind of rock and roll you can name put this band slipped by me and I am embarrassed! This is an amazing song
Hasta que supe cómo se llama esta excelente canción, me trae muchos recuerdos... Yo me acuerdo haberla escuchado en el 96 o 97. En fin hasta que la encontré!!..
I sometimes feel like I'm the only one that knows this track among my friends (new and old). Always play it and expect: "wait that's Mansun Wide Open Space", but all I get is: "never heard this before"
Heard today for the first time (or at least I have no recollection of hearing it ever before) on Absolute 90s radio. Instantly made it to my Best songs list
Still remember in the late 90's when this was played on the radio, loved it then and now my 18 year-old loves it and shares it with his friends who ask, "who's this?"

Such an explosion of bands and genres in the 90's, and so many of them didn't get nearly the recognition they deserved. Supergrass is another. Such a great band, but stayed "indie" and niche throughout their career.
Only ever saw them live for 1 song and really regretted it as 1 of my fav bands they supported Suede in Brighton me and Mrs D got there slightly late having no idea they were support and we had a few drinks in the bar as you do then decided to stroll down to see them perform their last song WTF.
I was stuck in a totally different genre of music when Mansun were around. I only really noticed how good their music was until they pretty much broke up. Would have loved to have seen them live.
The best was me almost walking into them all in Liverpool city centre and we all stared at each other I think I was too scared to go up to them all 🤣🤣🤣
Yes. Not exactly alike....but I personally see some similarities though. Their body shape/size, also. Idk..just something about him aside from the hair.... It's hard to move past the hair though. lol btw, in my opinion, if you're gonna kinda resemble someone, Damon Albarn is a great one. yum. ;)
Listening to this album, it's very obvious that there is a situation of former sexual assault from a priest or similar. The theme ran through the album. I hope that the victim/s are all ok now
Taking their unique style away is probably a big part of the reason why they didn't reach the popularity that they should have. I thought these guys wrote awesome songs. I wish they got bigger
The cloths are embarrassingly bad, they destroyed the song, the video does not fit it at all, they should of not agreed to such cheap crap, the original complimented the song in so many ways. They should of just left America and focused on Europe and Asia
One of the best Britpop songs from this era by far IMO.
Welcome to the Late 90s/early 2000s, the last great era of rock.
Ridiculously overlooked song, 90's classic..
I still love this song 😢
This sends a shiver down my spine
2021 and still absolutely incredible. Mesmerizing and perfect.
No
Singer he just so hot. Loved them in 90’s. Amazing voice, music.
Tell me about it. Good guy too. Paul Draper has a Facebook thing. The man will talk to you.
What a beautiful song...

It's not the original video. Original is way better IMO
I’ve seen Paul Draper so many times live and ever time he has blown me away with his vocals. He is one of music’s outstanding singers.
Even now still love this track
One of my favourite songs:-)
criminally under-rated song

Me too.. some songs, even if they're not popular, really stick with certain personalities
@@kentwells4488 truer words were never spoken. It's like, just for a fleeting moment, these songs take you somewhere you know but have never been

You need new friends.

One of a kind song.
Saw them in tokyo around 97. Will never forget.
Luv of my life
Fantastic band, song!

This is my funeral tune. Want to be scattered on Drummore beach.
Attack of the Grey Lanterns & Six are both awesome records.
love em, always have always will "attack of the grey lantern" classic

Supergrass were huge tbf
one of the best underrated bands who came from post oasis hang over bands
The Paul Ockenfold remix of this track is amazing, it elevates it to a whole new level.
the soundtrack our lives... rock n roll yeah
Emiliano Ortega-Guerrero AWESOME
OH,WOW,WHAT,A,SONG..........
Sadly discovered this band WAY after they had broken up, but I immediately got all their albums to make up for lost time. Too bad they didn't last. :(
Only ever saw them live for 1 song and really regretted it as 1 of my fav bands they supported Suede in Brighton me and Mrs D got there slightly late having no idea they were support and we had a few drinks in the bar as you do then decided to stroll down to see them perform their last song WTF.
Just brill😄
This is a great song
I am very chilled now ....
my only thought is early teen dream job that doesnt end due to perfection
Love this song. This video I've never seen, and that's good! :D
I'd love to listen FAITH NO MORE covering this one.

After listening to it I can see where you are coming from there.

Just fantastic - I'm surprised there aren't more likes!
Seen them in 1998 in Milan. ...
oakenfold brought me a long time, and im still looking...
I have hand written by Paul Draper lyrics to this song. My fav song by Mansun.
video reminds me of Blur and early Placebo videos.
Yeah, these guys were way ahead of their time, Chad is such a great guitarist and songwriter.
Cool band.
And Catherine Wheel
still listing today
I always heard the lyric "something quite bizarre I cannot see" was "something crap is all I can achieve".
AWESOME
I was stuck in a totally different genre of music when Mansun were around. I only really noticed how good their music was until they pretty much broke up. Would have loved to have seen them live.
Were you into jungle and ragga rap?
@@kriddz Most definitely not! Haha
8 лет назад услышал этот альбом думал будет мега популярными ))
VTF FTV lol that's fucked up
Awesome 💖💖
I'd forgotten about this band
The UK video is haunting.
I seriously mistook him for Damon Albarn for a minute there.
Same x
Exactly
Albarn wishes he could write this song.
This has a Tears for Fears 90s feel when Curt Smith left the band and Orzabal came out with Elemental.
im in a wide open space........sang sat in bath.....
Reminds me of my cousin and I as kids 🎶
Majestic
I feel this :)
the bass player looks like hes having a great time :),,

Damon Albarn vibes. :)
Love it!!!
it's the hair, same haircut...apart from that, i don't think they look much alike

Damon Albarn versión Doctor Simi (wena song si)
PINK FLOYD DARK SIDE OF THE MOON SAMPLED IN HERE CAN ANYONE ELSE HEAR IT??
The original video is better, but Paul's haircut in this version raised his game from meh to freaking hot.
The video is dreadful, the original is 100 times more interesting, why record companies have to tamper with something that needed no tampering with..
Too right, I always hated these 'US Version' videos back in the 90s

Buseh berasa tua gw
Is it weird for me to say that I used to think Marilyn Manson did this song?
Fantastic song but poor video especially when compared to the excellent original.
Prefer the UK video
like Cain beat Abel
spawn
a cheap daimon albarn
